Conversation 24
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 24 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Don’t You (Forget About Me)
Song by Simple MindsHey, hey, hey, hey
Ooh, woah
Won’t you come see about me?
I’ll be alone, dancing, you know it, baby
Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving everything inside and out and
Love’s strange, so real in the dark
Think of the tender things that we were working on
Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, baby
Don’t you, forget about me
Don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t
Don’t you, forget about me
Will you stand above me?
Look my way, never love me
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down
Will you recognize me?
Call my name or walk on by
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down, down
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Ooh, woah
Don’t you try and pretend
It’s my feeling we’ll win in the end
I won’t harm you or touch your defenses
Vanity and security, ah
Don’t you forget about me
I’ll be alone, dancing, you know it, baby
Going to take you apart
I’ll put us back together at heart, baby
Don’t you, forget about me
Don’t, don’t, don’t, don’t
Don’t you, forget about me
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
When you walk away
Or will you walk away?
Will you walk on by?
Come on, call my name
Will you call my name?
I say
La, la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
When you walk on by
And you call my name
When you walk on by -
The Tears Of A Clown
Song by Smokey Robinson and The MiraclesOh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Now if there’s a smile on my face
It’s only there trying to fool the public
But when it comes down to fooling you
Now honey that’s quite a different subject
But don’t let my glad expression
Give you the wrong impression
Really I’m sad, oh, I’m sadder than sad
You’re gone and I’m hurting so bad
Like a clown I appear to be glad (sad, sad, sad, sad)
Now, there’s some sad things known to man
But ain’t too much sadder than
The tears of a clown when there’s no one around, mm
Oh, yeah, baby
Now if I appear to be carefree
It’s only to camouflage my sadness
In order to shield my pride, I try
To cover this hurt with a show of gladness
But don’t let my show convince you
That I’ve been happy since you
Decided to go (why did you go?)
Oh, I need you so (I need you so)
I’m hurt and I want you to know (want you to know)
But for others, I put on a show, ooh, oh (it’s just a show)
There’s some sad things known to man
But ain’t too much sadder than
The tears of a clown, when there’s no one around, oh, yeah
Just like Pagliacci did
I try to keep my surface hid
Smiling in the public, I
But in my lonely room, I cry
The tears of a clown
When there’s no one around, oh, yeah, baby
Now if there’s a smile on my face
Don’t let my glad expression
Give you the wrong impression
Don’t let this smile I wear
Make you think that I don’t care
When really, I’m sad
Hurtin’ so bad -

“I Write The Songs”I’ve been alive forever
And I wrote the very first song
I put the words and the melodies together
I am music
And I write the songsI write the songs that make the whole world sing
I write the songs of love and special things
I write the songs that make the young girls cry
I write the songs, I write the songsMy home lies deep within you
And I’ve got my own place in your soul
Now when I look out through your eyes
I’m young again, even tho’ I’m very oldI write the songs that make the whole world sing
I write the songs of love and special things
I write the songs that make the young girls cry
I write the songs, I write the songsOh, my music makes you dance and gives you spirit to take a chance
And I wrote some rock ‘n roll so you can move
Music fills your heart, well that’s a real fine place to start
It’s from me, it’s for you
It’s from you, it’s for me
It’s a worldwide symphonyI write the songs that make the whole world sing
I write the songs of love and special things
I write the songs that make the young girls cry
I write the songs, I write the songsI write the songs that make the whole world sing
I write the songs of love and special things
I write the songs that make the young girls cry
I write the songs, I write the songsI am music and I write the songs

Billy Joel
“Allentown”Well we’re living here in Allentown
And they’re closing all the factories down
Out in Bethlehem they’re killing time
Filling out forms
Standing in line
Well our fathers fought the Second World War
Spent their weekends on the Jersey Shore
Met our mothers in the USO
Asked them to dance
Danced with them slow
And we’re living here in AllentownBut the restlessness was handed down
And it’s getting very hard to stayWell we’re waiting here in Allentown
For the Pennsylvania we never found
For the promises our teachers gave
If we worked hard
If we behaved
So the graduations hang on the wall
But they never really helped us at all
No they never taught us what was real
Iron and coke
And chromium steel
And we’re waiting here in AllentownBut they’ve taken all the coal from the ground
And the union people crawled awayEvery child had a pretty good shot
To get at least as far as their old man got
But something happened on the way to that place
They threw an American flag in our faceWell I’m living here in Allentown
And it’s hard to keep a good man down
But I won’t be getting up todayAnd it’s getting very hard to stay
And we’re living here in Allentown

On April 19th, National Amaretto Day recognizes a liqueur known around the world for its flavor and aroma!
In Italian, the word Amaretto means “a little bitter,” because it is made from bitter almonds or apricot kernels, or both. Makers infuse it in pure alcohol or brandy, resulting in a strong almond flavor. This traditionally Italian liqueur carries a reputation for being fragrant.
Shrouded in Secrecy and Lore
Taking us back to the 1525 Renaissance in Saronno, Italy, painter Bernardino Luini selected a young innkeeper as his model for a fresco of the Madonna of the Miracles. In gratitude for being selected, the innkeeper gave the artist a gift of her own secret blend of almond and brandy. For centuries, the family held the recipe as a closely guarded secret. However, the Di Saronno family began producing its amaretto for a broader market in the 20th century. The liqueur began appearing for sale in advertisements in the United States in the late 1940s, and the family still bottles their recipe today.
Another Amaretto tale comes from the same area of Italy. However, this story tells of a young Lazzaroni couple blessed by the Cardinal of Milan in 1718. The couple honored his visit with a unique recipe of their own, producing an amaretto cookie like no other. And this one came also came in a bottle. Of course, they also closely guarded their recipe generations. In 1851, the Lazzaroni family began selling their amaretto liqueur, and the family is still producing it today.

NATIONAL NORTH DAKOTA DAY
On April 19th, National North Dakota Day recognizes the Peace Garden State.Long before Lewis and Clark traveled up the Missouri River, the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara arrived in North Dakota. During the Corps of Discovery, the team camped at Fort Mandan along the Missouri River for the winter. Here, their translators, Sacagawea and Charbonneau, joined the expedition. Sacagawea would also give birth to her son, Jean Baptiste.
As the settlement expanded, disputes over land increased. Fort Abraham Lincoln preserves the home of Gen. George and Libby Custer, the military commissary, blockhouses, and the Mandan Indian Village along the Missouri River.
Theodore Roosevelt arrived in North Dakota in 1883 and fell in love with badlands and outdoor life. He would later be elected the 26th U.S. President and served from 1901 to 1909. His love of the badlands led to his conservation and preservation efforts. The North Dakota Badlands are named Theodore Roosevelt National Park in his name.

NATIONAL HANGING OUT DAY
Each year on April 19th, Project Laundry List works with hundreds of other organizations to sponsor National Hanging Out Day. This day encourages communities to learn about the benefits, both financially and environmentally, of using a clothesline for drying laundry. According to Project Laundry Lists’ website, clothes dryers account for an astonishing six to ten percent of residential energy consumption.
-
NATIONAL GARLIC DAY
Each year on April 19th, National Garlic Day celebrates a vegetable also known as the stinking rose. The fragrant and potent root has been seasoning dishes for thousands of years.
This stinking rose is a member of the lily family. This family also includes the flavorful onions, leeks, and shallots we use in some of our favorite dishes. Garlic originated in Asia over 7,000 years ago, so it’s no surprise that cuisines worldwide incorporate it into favored recipes.
Garlic is quite versatile as illustrated by its many medicinal purposes. The mighty bulb is considered an herbal remedy for colds and may reduce blood pressure and cholesterol. Modern science has also proven garlic’s antibiotic properties.
Myth and superstition reek of garlic. The most familiar one suggests that garlic wards off vampires. This same theory seemed to work on witches, werewolves, demons and other such evils one might cross. Folklore also tells us garlic grew from satan’s left footprint when he left the Garden of Eden. Greek midwives used garlic to keep evil spirits away, and courage filled Roman soldiers who consumed the bulb.
Consider our dreams and garlic too. Our dreams often have meaning and dreaming of garlic is no different. To dream about garlic in the house suggests good luck and if the dream includes eating garlic (perhaps in a pesto sauce), there might be hidden secrets. Over 300 varieties of garlic grow around the world to dream about as well!

The Whole Is Greater
Women’s circles perfectly illustrate the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Women’s circles are formal or informal gatherings in the interest of bonding, sharing energy, and creating ritual. The origins of women’s circles are ancient, but their applications are as modern as the women who participate in them. There are no hard and fast rules as to how to form a women’s circle or how to run one. Some circles invent their own agendas, rituals, goals, and ceremonies, while others borrow ideas from sources as far-ranging as Buddhist or indigenous cultures. Some circles are open to new members at all times, while others prefer to practice with a set number of members, closing the circle once that number is reached.
In a typical gathering, the women who are present sit in a circle. Generally, for the sake of cohesiveness, one woman is chosen to lead the circle each time. Allowing a different woman to lead each meeting allows for a multi-perspective approach to the process. One circle leader may choose to create and teach a ritual that involves using the voice to release negative energy, while at the next meeting, another leader may feel inspired to lead a silent meditation. On the other hand, a circle may choose to be more focused and gather around a particular intention, such as working together to determine a course for healing Mother Earth. When the healing feels complete, the women may choose to stay together with a new focus or the circle may disband.
At their best, women’s circles perfectly illustrate the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The work that can be accomplished within the loving embrace of our sisters is far more powerful than what we could achieve on our own. If you are not already part of a circle, you may want to start one. Follow your intuition as to the women with whom you’d like to work, reach out to them, and set a date to begin. After that, you can simply allow the circle to create itself.

Plant the seeds today, for a garden you will love tomorrow…how do we do that? Well, you can weed out the negative thoughts and replace them with seeds of hope and positivity. You can let yesterday go and focus on caring for your garden today…You can establish positive self talk, self worth and self love…sprinkle it with authenticity. It takes action, planning and perseverance to cultivate a life you love, but when you do, the life you have imagined will begin to blossom and grow. 🌸💕❤️ so let’s get digging, we’ve got work to do…the life we love is about to BLOOM! -xx

NATIONAL EXERCISE DAY
National Exercise Day on April 18 offers inspiration to try new ways of becoming fit and healthy. These days there is no reason not to do something for your health. Including healthier eating habits too.
Not just for health enthusiasts, this is a day for everyone. Sure, you’re busy you say, we all are but each of us can find a little time each day just for a short walk or calisthenics right after waking up.
Today is also a great day to start a simple exercise routine and invite a friend for motivation. Perhaps a flower or vegetable garden is the inspiration you need to get out and exercise. Give it a try!
-
NATIONAL ANIMAL CRACKERS DAY
National Animal Crackers Day on April 18th each year celebrates a childhood favorite. A box of these sweet animal-shaped crackers not only provided a delicious snack, but they also offered a little entertainment, too!
The celebration brings us back to our childhood memories and the many boxes of Animal Crackers we shared with our friends. Animal Crackers refer to a type of small cookie baked in the shape of circus or zoo animals, such as a lion, tiger, bear or elephant. The most common variety is light-colored and slightly sweet. However, makers also offer chocolate and frosted varieties, too. Even though animal crackers are made with layered dough, much like crackers, they are sweet like cookies.

NATIONAL HIGH FIVE DAY
Each year on the third Thursday in April, we observe National High Five Day. This is a fun day where you can “High Five” everyone that you see.
Folklore fills the hallowed halls of sports stadiums concerning the origins of the high five. From the basketball to the volleyball court and baseball stadium, the sports metaphor has been well worn on this topic.
The two most well-known claims take place in less than a two-year time span.
During the last 1977 regular season Dodgers’ game, Dusty Baker hit the home run that made the team the first in history to have four players with at least 30 regular-season home runs each. As Baker rounded third and headed home, Glenn Burke waited at home plate to congratulate him. In a moment that is Dodgers history but was never televised, Burke greeted his teammate by raising his hand, and they slapped hands in a victorious high five.
During basketball’s 1978-79 season, the University of Louisville basketball team switched up their regular low-fives on the home court thanks to Wiley Brown and Derek Smith.
Out of all the triumphant sports gestures, such as the fist bump, fanny slap, fist pump, end zone dance, and chest bump, the high five stands in a class all its own.

I had the headache from Hades yesterday due to the pollen here in OZ.So glad we are raining and washing away all the dirt and dust.
How is your husband today I know it’s too early to know for sure but I am praying he
is making more progress to get out of that place.Hope KP was not too bad I am multi-tasking today so a lot going on here.
Let me know how things are going today take your time. 😎

I was able to bring ice cream from home for hubby. Best of all, it stayed frozen throughout the drive and into his room. The trip, this time, took over a half hour due to missing the 8 traffic lights and then some. I tried to pick the van up today, but like you, came down with a migraine. Not sure about tomorrow, but will give it a huge try. We are experiencing grass pollen that never affected me until now. You are probably dealing with not only grass pollen, but trees as well with the new foliage trying to break loose.
Thank goodness everything is OK. Going through what you did is not easy. I think I would have passed out unless given something prior. You had terrific physicians who worked together to give you the best care and continue to do so. How fortunate you are to be in an area at the right time and place. You could not ask for a better outcome.
-
I am doing great I was concerned there for a moment. I just closed my eyes and said my
prayers and they were answered. It was an experience I did not even have during my cancer
treatment. God in his infinite wisdom never gives you more than you can bear. 💕Glad you had a treat for your husband. OZ is chilly tonight downright cold it will be in
the 30’s later tonight I am closing all windows and putting extra blankets on the bed.Sorry you were not able to get your Van perhaps tomorrow will be a better day.
Oodie let me know how you are doing tonight. 💕😎Oodie that Needle procedure was
related to the breast area. I can breath now. -
Good morning in S. California. I hope you are enjoying your week where ever you are. 😎🎈

Good day in the ‘burgh. 😎😘🎈How are you today? Lady remember last week when
I had labs and then some well I also had a six needle biopsy done. I received the results
via a phone call from my doctor that all was well.I cannot tell you how relived I am this was done in my lymph nodes near the breast.
The doctor simply wanted to rule out anything. I am now one and done in that area.I had to stay calm through all the noise. 😎
I hope this day finds you doing well. We are having some good rain here in OZ. 💕
Enjoy your day and tell your mother and sister hello for me.
Lady I had the biopsy a few days ago I am still feeling some discomfort in that area.
I am handling it. 😎Send cool vibes to you and Jake. 😎💕🎈😘
-
Good evening in Oz. Beautiful pics today.
Geez Louise, I am so happy all is well with you.💗💗💗 I know just how you felt waiting for results. No wonder you had a bad headache. Found out from my friend today that the surgeon/oncologist decided not to do surgery on her husband’s tumor because it is on a main vein and other health issues. Not sure what’s next but maybe radiation since they took him off chemo because it was making him so sick. Not good news.😥
Ran around all day with my husband and SIL so I am pooped.😴 Going to mom’s tomorrow so I will have to do some catching up over the weekend after these last two days.
Sending so much love your way.🤗💖🥰🙏 Give Poppy a hug from me.🤗
-
I was really out of it for the last two weeks. The doctor just wanted to be sure the Lymph Nodes
were alright. I am still a wee bit sore but sure. 😎 Lady this is part of the cancer all clear so far.Enjoy your evening Oz is chilly so I am getting under the covers with hubby. 😎😘

April 17th kicks off National Cheeseball Day and recognizes a party food that can sometimes be the centerpiece of a spread. You can choose from two ways to celebrate, too! Or plan your party and serve both!
Acheese spread comes in the shape of a ball served with crackers, most often around Christmas in the U.S. This cheeseball is commonly made with softened cream cheese and other ingredients.
Cheese puffs are a puffed corn snack coated with a mixture of cheese or cheese-flavored powders. Cheese puffs are manufactured by extruding heated corn dough through a die that forms the particular shape, most likely a ball shape.
No matter which one you celebrate, both make for terrific snacking. -
On the third Wednesday in April, take a bite of the fruit that also makes an excellent prop for jokes on National Banana Day!
The day focuses on the nutrition of the fruit as well as the way comedy has used the banana in its acts. This low-fat, low-calorie snack offers a boost of fiber, potassium, and vitamins, with B6 and C leading the way. It also provides a healthy gram of protein, too. Add a banana to your morning cereal or grab one to go with your granola. They also add so much delicious flavor to baked goods. Many bakers know that when those bananas turn brown to toss them in the freezer for baking muffins and breads later.
As far as the humor goes, anyone goes a little bananas when they slip on a peel. Or is it the peel of laughter that makes them go bananas? Hold up the banana like a phone and get your comedy routine going.

NATIONAL HAIKU POETRY DAY
Observed annually on April 17, National Haiku Poetry Day encourages all to try their hand in creativity. Haiku poetry is a form of Japanese poetry that is non-rhyming and usually consists of 3 lines with a syllable pattern of 5-7-5. Usually, an element of nature, a season, a moment of beauty, or an individual experience inspires haiku poems. Sensory language is used to capture a feeling, image, or moment.

Good morning my friend wishing you a great Wednesday with the kids. 🎈😎

Good day in Florida and may this post find you doing well as I always say. 🎈😎
-
Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida. I know your hands are full. I hope all is going
better for you today. 🎈I do hope you have your Van and no sinus problems. Oz is alright today just high pollen.
Oodie when time permits let me know how you are doing. 😎
-
I am still under the weather, though better. Sinus issues as well due to grass pollen. No rain in sight for the next week or so. Temp has been in the low to mid 80s and I have the A/C on. Was able to do a load of laundry and just waiting for the dryer. I will try to visit hubby today and hopefully will be able to stay longer that just 10 minutes. I did see him briefly yesterday so he could sign some papers for our accountant. He was in bed and I was appalled. His words to me were “get me outa here.” Well, I am trying. The holdup is the hospital bed which I need more info on. I am hoping to meet with the head nurse this week. I think in this one I will need to pay out of pocket so trying to find a good one that costs less. I will also need to find an alternative to our metal bed side tables which are too large for the space. Hubby wants to have a say in this as well and again I am trying to figure out how to get him from car to store and then back to car. I said he has one good leg, however, that’s another issue. He isn’t receiving the Physical Therapy and I will let t he head nurse know. Actually, I have already done so and still waiting for his response. Also, hubby was not told that I was under the weather and when I arrived yesterday I could tell he was a nervous wreck. When he head my voice, he realized there was a problem. So, that was another issue.
No, I didn’t pick the van up yesterday or today. I am still contagious and do not want anyone becoming ill because of me. Hopefully, the van is in a safe place. I will try tomorrow. I was able to get to Aldi’s and picked up the items I desperately needed. Packed up inside the store and made it home within a half hour. Record time for me. I did purchase ice cream and now to decide how to get it to hubby before it melts. (LOL)

Good afternoon to you. Nice day but more storms predicted later.⛈ We have had almost eight inches of rain so far in April, flooding everywhere. I’m surprised more trees haven’t uprooted.
Yep, missed the playoffs by a point or two.☹ If they only could have won a couple of the tied overtime games, they were really bad with those. One game left tonight which doesn’t mean anything. On to next season. At least the Chiefs won, my second favorite team.😊🏆
Not much else happening. Enjoy your evening, hugs to you, Poppy and the kitties.🤗💖

Oz is about to get hit hard with rain and then some. I will let you know if things are still
standing tomorrow.I see you have some serious weather in your part of the world. Stay safe.
Goodnight love ya. 😘😎

Revealing Your True Self
Our true selves exist whether we acknowledge them or not, often buried under learned behavior.
Identity is an elusive concept. We feel we must define ourselves using a relatively small selection of roles and conscious character traits, even if none accurately represents our notion of “self.” The confusion surrounding our true nature is further compounded by the fact that society regularly asks us to suppress so much of our emotional, intellectual, and spiritual vibrancy. Yet we are, in truth, beings of light — pure energy inhabiting physical bodies, striving for enlightenment while living earthly lives. Our true selves exist whether we acknowledge them or not, often buried under fears and learned behavior. When we recognize our power, our luminosity, and our divinity, we cannot help but live authentic lives of appreciation, potential, fulfillment, and grace.
At birth and throughout your childhood, your thoughts and feelings were more than likely expressions of your true self. Though you may have learned quickly that to speak and act in a certain fashion would win others’ approval, you understood innately that you were no ordinary being. There are many ways you can recapture the authenticity you once articulated so freely. Meditation can liberate you from the bonds of those earthly customs that compel you to downplay your uniqueness. Also, communing with nature can remind you of the special role you were meant to play in this lifetime. To realize your purpose, you must embrace your true self by letting your light shine forth, no matter the consequences.
Rediscovering who you are apart from your roles and traits takes time and courage. If, like many, you have denied your authenticity for a long while, you may find it difficult to separate your true identity from the identity you have created to cope with the world around you. Once you do find your authentic self, you will be overcome by a wonderful sense of wholeness as you reconcile your spiritual aspect and your physical aspect, as well as your inner- and outer-world personas. As you gradually adjust to this developing unity, your role as a being of light will reveal itself to you, and you will discover that you have a marvelous destiny to fulfill. 😎

NATIONAL EGGS BENEDICT DAY
On April 16th, National Eggs Benedict Day celebrates a long-favored breakfast or brunch dish. Eggs Benedict consists of poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce and Canadian bacon or ham on English muffin halves.
There are two different stories as to how Eggs Benedict came to be.
In 1894 stockbroker Lemuel Benedict ordered “buttered toast, poached eggs, crisp bacon, and a side of Hollandaise” at the Waldorf Hotel. They were so impressed with the dish that they put it on the menu, substituting ham and English muffins in place of the bacon and toast.
In the early 18th century, Pope Benedict XIII liked an egg dish so much that he requested it time and time again. Many believe that Pope Benedict XIII had an illness that added to his desire for this particular egg dish, hence the name Eggs Benedict. Some restaurants serve their own versions of Eggs Benedict. Mix it up by substituting the ham for salmon or corned beef. Add sliced tomatoes or steamed asparagus. Replace the English muffin with thick, crusty toast or thin, crisp bagels. There are so many ways to be creative in the kitchen. The important elements with Eggs Benedict are properly poached eggs and a perfect hollandaise sauce. When the yolk and sauce blend with all the other ingredients, this meal is divine.

NATIONAL ORCHID DAY
Each year on April 16th, National Orchid Day recognizes one of the world’s diverse and widespread flowering plant families. The orchids’ often colorful and fragrant blooms grow in abundance around the world. Along with the Asteraceae, they are one of the two largest families of flowering plants, with between 21,950 and 26,049 currently accepted species. Not only are they prolific, but they range in size from the 2.1 mm wide Platystele jungermannioides to broad-bloomed Grammatophyllum speciosum.
While some find the orchid challenging to grow, others find pleasure in their pleasant fragrance and uncommon beauty. With so many varieties to choose from, anyone can enjoy the beauty from home or by visiting botanical gardens around the world.

Running Away Versus Moving Forward
Make sure you aren’t running away from your problems — always move toward something.
There are times when change — moving to a new city or a new home, or changing careers — is the right thing at the right time. But there are also times when the urge for change is really just a desire to run away from problems that need to be faced. Recurring problems often are the ones we avoid dealing with. For example, we might have issues with coworkers that seem to arise at every job, or we repeatedly get into unhealthy relationships. A move might temporarily distract us and even cure the problem for a time, simply by taking us out of the situation. However, the problem will eventually appear again in our new situation.
One way to make sure you aren’t running away from your problems is to notice whether you are moving toward something that is exciting in its own right, as opposed to something that is appealing only because it is not where you are now. For example, if you are leaving a city because you feel you can’t afford it, you could be reinforcing poverty consciousness, and you might find that you are unable to make ends meet in your new city as well. It would ultimately be less of an effort to stay where you are and look more deeply into your beliefs about money. You may discover that as you address these issues, you are able to make more money by changing your mindset. You may still decide to move, but it will be an act with a positive intention behind it and not an escape, which could make all the difference.
Any pain involved in facing our issues is well worth the effort in the end. When we face our problems instead of avoiding them, we free our energy and transform ourselves from people who run away into people who move enthusiastically forward. Amen! 😎

April 15th of each year is National Tax Day. In the United States, the term “tax day” refers to the day on which individual income tax returns are due to the federal government. The day may also refer to April 15th for state tax returns.
The Federal income tax filing deadline is midnight on April 15th of every year, with extensions occurring when the 15th lands on a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday. In those circumstances, the returns are due the first succeeding day which is not a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday.
These dates can differ depending on the residence as well. Some years, due to extenuating circumstances such as natural disasters, more significant extensions have been granted by the Federal Government.

NATIONAL LAUNDRY DAY
Benjamin Franklin may have overlooked one certainty in life: laundry. National Laundry Day on April 15th creates an opportunity to assess our laundry habits and teach our children to develop good ones.
Humans have been doing laundry in numerous ways for as long as it has existed. One of the earliest ways was beating the dust and dirt out of our clothes and bedding with a stick or pounding the grime out against a rock in the river.
Early forms of soap were developed from a mixture of animal fat and ashes. Washboards and tubs replaced washing by a river. Scrubbing the fabric over the ribs of the washboard and soap helped release the grime and stains. Humans also washed their clothes in manually cranked tubs. These tubs eventually led to the first automatic washing machine. The first U.S. patent for an electric washing machine was granted to Alva J. Fisher in 1910.
Dry cleaning is another process we’ve used to clean our clothes. These days, so many clothes are wash-and-wear, dry cleaning has moved lower and lower on the household budget.
When we do laundry has also changed, too. Before commercial washing machines and dryers, clothes were hung on a line to dry. Though many people still line dry their wash, few people have clotheslines. Also, the poorer a person was, the more frequently they washed their clothes and linens. Once a week was fairly average and wash day was traditionally on a Monday as noted in several books and nursery rhymes. For example, this is a nursery rhyme from before the Victorian era shows weekly laundry washed on a Monday:

NATIONAL TITANIC REMEMBRANCE DAY
On April 15th, National Titanic Remembrance Day remembers the lives lost when the Titanic sank into the North Atlantic’s icy waters in 1912. We remember the more than 1,500 people who died that day.
Known as the “the unsinkable ship,” the Titanic hit an iceberg at 11:40 pm on April 14, 1912, on her maiden voyage from England to New York City. Later, in the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean, on April 15, the Titanic sank. Those who perished did so mainly due to an insufficient number of lifeboats onboard the ship.
Since that time, journalists, engineers, ocean explorers, historians, survivors, and descendants of those lost have been trying to piece together the events leading up to that night. Countless hours of documentation, salvage expeditions, and interviews all record the perspectives of those involved. Every angle and myth has been considered from the investors to the designers, the builders, and the sailers, right down to the communications and those left behind. And to this day, it still is a heartbreaking and mesmerizing story no matter where you begin.

Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 😎🎈I hope you are feeling so much better.
I hope this is a smooth week for both you and your husband.Oodie let me know how things are going. OZ is not bad we are expecting some rain.
I have no problem with that.Oodie I hope you can get your Van. 😎
-
I am feeling better. Decided to stay in one more day and not lift a finger. Being lazy is more fun when you feel good. Tomorrow I will us Uber to get the van and if up to it will also make a stop at Aldi’s. I also need to make a short dash to the Rehad to let hubby know that I am well. I have no idea if the Head Nurse mentioned that I wasn’t feeling great and also had laryngitis.
Starting Wednesday, I will redo the kitchen and cabinets. I had to contact the people who helped me and they suggested that it wouldn’t hurt to redo. It shouldn’t take that long with the new dishwasher. I suppose that doing the dishes in hot water from the tap is not as good as sanitizing in the dishwasher.
I see that Wolfgang Puck will be back on Friday and HD next week. I am trying to be good and not purchase. However, that could change at a snap of the fingers. (LOL).
Hope you three have a great evening.

Good for you getting some rest. Oodie all my cookware is WP. 😎 I found a good brand

Gems for Dreamers
Moonstones are imbued with mystical properties of love and abundance.
Moonstones, gems named for their resemblance to the familiar glowing orb in the night sky, offer us more than mere beauty. Their association with moon goddesses throughout the world may explain why moonstones’ qualities seem to reach out to assist all those who find themselves under the moon’s light, from travelers and those at sea to lovers and dreamers. Throughout the world, moonstones have been imbued with mystical properties that extend the fabled powers of the moon into daylight hours.
Moonstones, sometimes likened to a raindrop or tear, have long reminded people in Asia that the moon cannot be seen during the rain, just as it is difficult to see through our tears. In India, they are thought to give sweet, beautiful dreams by night but have gained a reputation for enhancing intuitive sensitivity and spiritual vision of the “third eye” at any time of the day. This connection to the subconscious also was recognized in the Middle Ages in Europe, where it was believed that gazing into a moonstone would cause you to fall into a deep sleep that allowed you to see the future. Their power is also believed to be connected to fertility. In Arabia, women sew moonstones into their garments to enhance their fertility. This association with fertility even extends to the fertility of crops, which is why moonstone amulets have been seen hanging in fruit trees before harvest.
By bringing love and abundance into our lives today and helping us to see the future, moonstones allow us to see the hope of all good things in our lives. And to further enhance the power of your moonstone, try putting them outside in the light of the full moon so it absorbs its mystical power. 😎

The Sound of Silence
Song by Simon & GarfunkelHello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
No one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
“Fools” said I, “You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, “The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence” -

NATIONAL DOLPHIN DAY
Each year on April 14th, National Dolphin Day recognizes the social and intelligent mammals of the water.
Dolphins are cetacean mammals that are related to whales and porpoises. They range in size from 4 feet to up to 30 feet; dolphins are among almost forty species in 17 genera. Found worldwide, they prefer the shallower seas of the continental shelves.
As carnivores, their diet consists of mostly fish and squid.
Male dolphin – bull
Female dolphin – cow
Young dolphin – calf
Group of dolphins – school or pod
Social, Swift, and Intelligent
Dolphins are known to have acute eyesight both in and out of the water. They also have a well-developed sense of touch, with free nerve endings densely packed in the skin. Since they additionally have such acute hearing, they can hear frequencies ten times or more above the upper limit of what adult humans can. Dolphins are also capable of making a broad range of sounds using nasal air sacs located just below the blowhole.Living in pods of up to a dozen dolphins, they are highly social animals. Pods do merge in areas where there is an abundance of food, forming superpods. These pods may exceed 1,000 dolphins. Dolphins can, and do, establish strong bonds within their pods. Even when one is injured or ill, they will stay, helping them to breathe by bringing them to the surface if needed.
You will see the dolphins frequently leaping above the water’s surface. They do this for various reasons; when traveling, jumping saves them energy as there is less friction while in the air. Their leaps even have a name called porpoising. Some other explanations for leaping include orientation, social display, fighting, non-verbal communication, entertainment, and attempting to dislodge parasites.
The United States National Marine Mammal Foundation conducted a study revealing that dolphins, like humans, develop a natural form of type 2 diabetes. This discovery may lead to a better understanding of the disease and new treatments for both humans and dolphins.

National Reach as High as You Can Day on April 14th encourages us to evaluate our goals and do our best to reach them.
-
On April 14, Look Up at the Sky Day encourages us to admire the beauty above us. On this day we all hope for good weather and an opportunity to fill our eyes with the sky from horizon to horizon.
-
NATIONAL GARDENING DAY
National Gardening Day on April 14th encourages gardeners and would-be gardeners to pick up a shovel, plant some seeds, and kick off a beautiful year of homegrown bounty.
Whether you want to grow vegetables, fruit, flowers, houseplants, or anything in between, National Gardening Day celebrates a satisfying pastime that you will enjoy for decades.
Growing your own food also provides fresh and natural nourishment for your family and saves you time and money at the grocery store.
As many gardeners know, the benefits of gardening come from more than the produce. Spending time in the garden also provides physical activity and an opportunity to join with nature.
The day is a call to action to get out and grow flower or vegetable gardens. No matter how you garden, plant in the ground, in containers, in straw bales or in a square foot gardening box. Just garden!

“Holding Back The Years”Holding back the years
Thinking of the fear I’ve had so long
When somebody hears
Listen to the fear that’s gone
Strangled by the wishes of pater
Hoping for the arms of mater
Get to me the sooner or laterI’ll keep holding on
I’ll keep holding onHolding back the years
Chance for me to escape from all I’ve known
Holding back the tears
Cause nothing here has grown
I’ve wasted all my tears
Wasted all those years
And nothing had the chance to be good
Nothing ever could yeah, ohI’ll keep holding on

“The Unseen Power of a Woman’s Intuition”
“She has an incredible sense of intuition that’s almost like a superpower. It’s like she can tune into a special radio frequency that lets her understand the world and the people in it on a deeper level. She knows herself through and through, and she carries herself with the confidence of someone who’s really got it all figured out. But her intuition isn’t just about her understanding herself; it’s like she has this ability to see through people, to really get who they are beneath all the noise.
She doesn’t just guess or get lucky; it’s like she has this inner guide that’s always on point, leading her through life’s twists and turns with a calm certainty. When she says, “I know who I am,” it’s not just talk. She lives it, breathes it, and stands firmly in her own shoes, writing her life story with bold strokes.
And when she tells you, “I know who you are too,” it’s not scary or invasive. Instead, it feels comforting, like someone really gets you for the first time. She doesn’t just hear your words; she listens to what your heart is saying. She sees past the masks we all wear and connects with the real person underneath. Her intuition isn’t just about making her life better; it’s a gift she shares with others. She helps people see their own strengths and possibilities, like holding up a mirror that shows them the best version of themselves. She’s a safe space for others to be real, to drop their guard and be seen for who they truly are.
This woman walks through life with an inner compass that’s always true north. Her intuition is her strength, and she uses it to do amazing things like solve problems, bring people together, and spark positive change. She reminds us all that there’s a deep well of wisdom inside each of us, just waiting to be tapped into and celebrated.”

I know this bug came from hubby and I am hoping he is OK. I will not be going there today, but maybe tomorrow. Though I am feeling better I do have my moments and I want to be out of the danger path before venturing to Rehab., though I need his signature on some forms. Taking it easy and just doing what is necessary.
By the way I made a new fish today. It’s called cobia and from what I understand it is from the Atlantic Ocean. Very tasty, though mild. I added dragon fruit and blueberries to the mix and it was delicious. I am sure hubby would enjoy this as well and will bring him a taste the next time I make it. It is soft and will not harm his esophagus. I know the aids and nurses mean well, but not having a taste of home is not a good idea. They are also prohibiting an outing which the head nurse already gave permission for. He will not be getting out of the car and maybe this is a good idea now since it will tell me that he may be able to withstand the drive North when the time comes. And since we are counting calories, the fish has very little. I will be checking the Farmer’s Market for more. I made it on top of the stove on low to med. heat. You can bake it also, but watch that it is not overcooked. This was caught and frozen at the time of the catch. Sweet taste.
I am hoping to pick the van up tomorrow. We shall see how I feel. Hubby can call me if the phone is working. However, the last time I checked, the phone was in a drawer by the bed. He would not be looking for it unless I notify the head nurse (not on weekends). I suspect the aids and nurse are breathing a sigh of relief since I’m not there. But this time they were in the wrong and I knew it when he said he was having problems speaking. The next day I definitely knew when I awoke and couldn’t get one word out for quite a few hours. When I made the phone call to the head nurse I just hoped and prayed he had not left early. He knew from my voice that something wasn’t right. As soon as I can I will try to meet with him and go over a plan to bring him home.
Have a great day. Enjoy the sunshine and the moon at night.

Hope you are having a good Sunday. Nice sunny, warm day here so did a few things outside.🌞 Hubs did the first grass cutting of the season. We are supposed to get severe storms again this evening, ugh.⛈ We are already 6″ over the average rainfall for April.
Mom and sis are fine. They are back into their routines, went to church yesterday and out for dinner afterwards since mom had a craving for a hot sausage sandwich.😄
Not sure about the hockey team, will probably know tomorrow. Having leftovers today while we watch the Master’s.
Thank you for always being there for all of us.🥰 Hugs from me and Jake.🤗💖
