NATIONAL TWO DIFFERENT COLORED SHOES DAY

Each year on May 3rd, National Two Different Colored Shoes Day encourages us to celebrate our uniqueness and put it on display. This day stands out from the other 364 days of the year. Wear two different colored shoes and see where they take you.

You may discover you walk to a different beat. Or perhaps you take a road less traveled. Maybe, just maybe you’ll see the world a little differently. One foot might ache more than the other. The left foot might be a little more colorful, too. Is one dressed snazzier than the other? Maybe. It may be likely you’ll get a few blisters, sideways looks, and a chuckle or two.

But what this day sets out to demonstrate are our differences and that they should be celebrated, not mocked. Two different shoes? What do they mean in the grand course of humanity? That one foot was rock and roll and the other was country? Not really. But it does show that some of us bear more wear than others despite being quite colorful. Some of us hide our soles a little deeper. And others still have a firm arch.

NATIONAL CHOCOLATE CUSTARD DAY

National Chocolate Custard Day on May 3rd each year celebrates a delicious pudding-like dessert enjoyed by many.

Pastry chefs and home cooks alike make custards by blending eggs with milk or cream and heating the mixture either on the stove or in the oven. Since custards come in a variety of consistencies, you can choose the one that best fits your dessert preference. For example, they range from a thin liquid-like a crème Anglaise to a firm creme brulee.

Custard is also a versatile dessert. When paired with pastries and baked goods, custard can be layered and piped. It also can be the main filling of a pie or a tart. Substitute a frosting with a thick custard between layers of pound cake or create a delightful parfait with custard, angel food cake, and custard. Pipe custard into dainty cupcakes, add a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkles for flair.

While chocolate custards are delicious on their own, they also fill eclairs, creme puffs, and doughnuts, too

Sheba, hope the rain is easing up by now. We will be cool and cloudy for a few days. Had a funny OMG moment, was at an outlet store, purchased a small cardholder because I liked the bright color. Well, this morning, I took a look and found it was used and had a make-up receipt in it. I went back today and exchanged but am probably done with that store. Why can’t they just label returns as such and check them over. (eye rolling).
Does Poppy like the rain? I don’t mind rain but humidity gets tough.

Oz is getting hit hard today we had thunder and rain all night. The yards really looks nice

Good morning in S. California. 😎🎈Here is to a beautiful Thursday.

Oz is raining cats and dogs and everything else in between. The thunder is loud and
the lightning the only thing I fear weather wise keeps coming. We lost all power the
entire neighborhood somehow the power company manage get things back online.

I have to keep checking my sump pump because things can happen.

Taci you can go a month without hiking and not miss a beat. 😎Wishing your son

I put Poppy out in the backyard and he loved it he went right to his spot. 😘

No walking in the rain for us today we went early and I could not even make it to the
Driveway before rain and thunder came. I went back in the house. 😎

Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida. OZ is raining and I mean hard rain.
We lost power in the early morning the thunder was so loud. Poppy slept right through
it. Hubby went on to work the power came back on and now I am resetting all the clocks.

I hope to plant this weekend so we need this rain. 😎😘

your husband’s room mate he seems to have really nice ones and then they are gone.
