Conversation -23
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 23 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

National Mulled Wine Day on March 3rd warms us up with fruits, spices, and wine. In the lingering days of winter, a hot mug of mulled wine hits the spot and fills the home with pleasant aromas.

NATIONAL SOUP IT FORWARD DAY
National Soup it Forward Day on March 3rd encourages us to deliver love and kindness by the bowlful. We all know a warm cup of kindness comes in many forms. When I make a pot of soup, it is nearly always enough to feed an army. Those time-worn recipes grow over time, and love seasons it to perfection. I make it to warm my home, to cure a cold, and warm a soul.
Just as the recipes grow and provide a nourishing warmth, so can National Soup it Forward Day. When making one of your favorite soups at home, Soup it Forward. Deliver a healing pot of your delicious chicken noodle or split pea to a family or friend in need. Perhaps they have been ill or down on their luck. Whatever the situation, a little of your home cooking and a visit will be a nice change.

Thank you for the memories of Iris. She was a colorful lady in so many ways. Sorry to say, I didn’t know until today. It just proves to me that I need to take time to smell the roses. I actually adore her rugs and they are the colors I am using. Just need to decide on which one.
The Rehab has been ice cold this week. I surmise it’s due to the Measles and Covid. The Governor here does not believe in injections. Some time ago, I decided to try Homeopathy and found a doctor trained in this health care. The one thing that struck me was that he did not like injections and wanted people to rely on their own immune system. At the time, I was using Andrew’s vitamins (I still am) and he asked that I bring them at one of the appointments. I did so and he was amazed at the ingredients and mentioned that I could not do any better. Hubby was on them as well. However, while in Rehab he cannot take any unless they are prescribed by a physician.
Speaking on how cold it’s been at the rehab. I brought a heavy duty winter jacket with me today. I also had a sweater in the car just in case. Hubby was in his wheelchair and had just finished dinner. He was shivering. I took the summer blanket off his bed and added my winter jacket for warmth. As luck would have it, one of the aides popped in to say hello and I mentioned that my hubby was freezing and that maybe being in bed would warm him. Within two minutes there were three people in the room re-doing the bedding and then helped him into the bed. He was so grateful. And he kept asking if I felt cold, and I lied and said No. I didn’t want him to worry. He fell asleep an hour later and I left about an hour later. So good to be outside and to feel the warmth of the mid 60s. Luckily, I had another Sherpa blanket in the car and the nurse followed me outside. They will be redoing the bedding while he is asleep and will add the blanket. The aides normally change the sheets just prior to hubby going to bed at night. This time they will be undoing everything while he is in bed. They roll everything to the middle to the bed and make hubby change positions to remove all the sheets at once. They redo the bed the same way. The entire thing takes less than 5 minutes. Tomorrow I will bring the hand vac along with “Clean Boss” to do the mattress. Other than that, life is good.
As for your winter cold, drink plenty of liquids and make some chicken soup with a touch of garlic. The change in weather and temps will do this every time. Glad your son made it home safe and sound. Wonder how Poppy is taking his absence and that goes for the kitty visitors.
Be well. Stay safe. -
Sheba, you have a lovely tribute to Iris Apfel here. She did a lot with her life and did it in style.
I think you posted about the sub wanting a tip. It’s crazy how we are asked to tip for ordering online, driving to get the food, and taking it home. Some things I just can’t do. I know someone who loves to over tip and at lunch I said no won’t do it, and thankfully the other person with us said something too. I mean hey, you can give all you want but don’t try to tell me to overpay because they show up. No.
I only made it up a few hills and then it started to drizzle, i headed back to my car, but all for not as then a whole lot of rain fell. I ran to my car but it didn’t help. It’s ok though I don’t mind. We had some more rain tonight.
I think Heidi is back towards the end of the month. Should be fun.
Hope you feel better soon. -
Peace Out Peeps enjoy your evening.

Soul Seeing
The soul is the purest expression of an individual and is not bound by physical forms or fleeting emotions.
When we want to see deeply into the heart and mind of another person, soul seeing, also called soul gazing, allows us to see their soul. The soul is the purest expression of an individual and is not bound by physical forms or fleeting emotions. Through a simple art that involves looking deeply into a partner’s eyes, soul seeing can show you a person’s inner beauty that you might otherwise miss. It is possible for someone who appears cold to have a warm, giving, nurturing soul or someone of average appearance to have a beautiful soul. Soul seeing is a way of looking past shapes, sizes, attitudes, and behavior to see the real individual that lies beneath the surface. It allows you to see the true essence of another person, the radiance of their being, and their spirit within.
Soul seeing is accomplished by sitting face to face with another person. It is helpful to first state your intention before you begin. As you stare softly into each other’s eyes without stopping to look away, each of your souls is revealed to the other. Try not to look for anything in particular or seek traits you’re hoping to find. Simply let the other person’s soul reveal itself to you. After 20 minutes have passed, stay where you are and share a period of silent reflection with your partner for two minutes. You may have suddenly seen your partner’s inner nature as clearly as a bright day, or you may need to meditate on your experience before you feel comfortable with your impressions. Either way, soul seeing can be a wonderfully intimate and shared experience.
So little of who each of us is can be captured by our appearance or personality. The thoughts, fears, desires, and longings that are part of what makes us whole are not always written across our faces. Often, the most surprising thing you may learn while soul seeing is that while you and the other person may appear on the surface to be quite different, you actually share many of the same inner qualities. And then there is the unique beauty that resides within that is longing to be revealed to another who is willing to see. Soul seeing can help you experience the people in your life as they truly are, beyond any mental barriers or physical limitations. 😎🎈
