Conversation -23
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 23 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Sheba, thank you as well for your kind post.
Sometimes it’s a good thing to leave the tv off. Take all the time you need.
I can get weepy myself at the craziness.
Today the sun was out and it was nice and cool. Hiked a park with hills to climb. I get more steps there. The critters are all around but it feels safer at this location, and i didn’t see any so my trails were happy. -
I do not think I could watch the news after such an event. I also honestly think that guns should not be given to youngsters or teenagers. Cal l me old fashion, but, teenagers do have problems processing the results of their actions whether it is because it is a group thong or what they have seen older people do or a televised program where guns are used. These young kids and possibly, their parents, will need to attest what they have committed. All their dreams and maybe some aspirations have been lost to a wrong decision that not only affected them but others who were just having a good time. A beautiful day is now lost in the shadows……So sad.
Well, I did see hubby tonight. The temperature outside was in the low 70s, but inside the rehab it A/C was on and it felt like winter. Hubby was curled under a sheet and two summer blankets. I removed everything including the two pillows so hubby could move up a bit. His feet were near or on the foot board. He was shivering and making him move a bit would enable me to fix the sheets and put the blankets on him. Yes, he got his pillow back. I also had a Sherpa blanket there and folded it over to give him extra comfort. I actually wished that there would be enough room for the two of us on that bed. It was freezing. I guess keeping the temps low reduces the chance of viruses. I don’t know. Whatever. However, one thing I did notice was that the real bad leg was moveable. That leg was not bent to the side, but was straight out. Will he be able to use it????? I don’t know. All I can say is that he was moving that leg as if it was OK. I have tons of rethinking to do.
Another thing I happened to see on the news on line was something new on knee surgery. Seems that some part of the surgery can be done as an out patient. Best of all, it is non-evasive. Not sure if this will help hubby. But you betcha I will be watching. This is adding the cartilage that was lost due to falls and arthritis.
Hope you four have another wonderful evening. and a better tomorrow. Good night. Stay safe.

Sheba, you have been a bright light in this Community for many years. I can always come on here and get a good chuckle, read some interesting news, enjoy music and see HSN items. Never, ever underestimate what you do or love. We all appreciate YOU!!!🤗💗👍
Getting your snow right now, a couple inches by tomorrow morning.❄ Cold weekend but better next week.🥶
I saw the article about Taylor’s donation this morning. Have to give her credit for being aware of everyday happenings outside of her busy schedule. I know she donated to our food banks when she was here last year for her concerts. Granted, she has tons of money to do this but there are also others with loads of money who do nothing. I do admire how she treats people.👏
Went to a fish fry at the church, ’tis the season.🦐 I hope you are feeling a little better, warm hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

Cultivating the Seed Within
We can learn to locate the seed of peace inside ourselves in order to have a reliable source of serenity.
In our noisy world, we often find ourselves longing for peace and searching to find it somewhere else. While it’s true that there are places we can visit where we can experience peace, such as sacred sites or buildings, we do not need to wait until we get to one of these places to feel at peace. Instead, we can learn to locate the seed of peace inside ourselves and cultivate it so that it grows into a reliable source of serenity that we can always access, no matter where we are.
We experience peace when we are in a state of mental calm and serenity. It might surprise you to notice how infrequently you allow yourself to be free from anxiety. Realizing this is the first step to inner peace. If you wait until all the details of your life are taken care of to allow yourself to experience peace, you will never feel peaceful because there is always something that your mind can grab onto to create anxiety. It is important to consciously set aside your worries and make time to cultivate inner peace.
Ideally, you could schedule time each day to meditate on peace and experience what it feels like to be calm and serene. It takes practice to learn how to let go of your worries, so give yourself some time. Inhale deeply, and feel your worries dissolve with every exhale. Remind yourself that soon enough you will be able to take care of everything you need to, but right now you are taking a break. As the clutter of your thoughts and concerns clear away, you will start to feel more serene. Allow yourself to move deeper into this state with each inhale. Realize that you have the power to free yourself from anxiety simply by deciding to do so. The more you practice feeling peaceful, the easier it will be for you to feel at peace. AMEN! 😎

Good afternoon in the ‘burgh. 😘💕Lady thank you for all your support through the
years and especially last night. I am so thankful to have you as a friend.Taylor Swift did a beautiful thing for the family of the woman killed at the Parade.
I am thankful the Parade was over when things got crazy minutes after. My husband
and son were already in motion and kept it moving. I am still somewhat rattled by
all of this. Both Kansas and MO will be rattled for some time to come.I wish both your mother and sister a safe trip. 😎🎈
Well being Lent I am having Salomon and the fixings today with my family. 😘
I am sending very warm hugs from OZ to you and Jake’s Canvas. 💕😘

Good morning in S. California. Taci thank you for your post last night. I did not post
because I was not feeling well. All on the telly all the local reporters had the same sad
look. The laughter and joy that day was to represent was gone and in it’s place was true
sadness of the lives directly affected by the turn of events.Taci I am so glad you are here on this thread. 💕 We have been on many threads through
the years.Oz is snowing now and we are cold so I have a fireplace on.
I am going to wish you a nice Friday and Happy Trails To You. 🎶🎶
I love singing that to you. 😘

Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 😎🎈😘 Oodie thank you for such a lovely
post from last night. I am so thankful to have you and others as a friend. 💕Oodie you are right it will take some time. I have not turned on the Telly because our
local news media is reporting and I cannot re-live that day over and over.I am praying for all affected. Our son will have a birthday soon and then he leaves
to go back to GA with our daughters. All our kids are concerned because had they
been home my entire family would have been there. My mother keeps calling to make
sure we are all ok. I don’t think we will be totally ok for a while. We are healing. The woman who was killed traveled from Kansas like my family did. Oodie she only lived
about 15 minutes away she is a local DJ everyone know of her. May she RIP.I am glad your husband has music. 💕🎈Oodie the moon was beautiful and on that
fateful night I took Poppy out and just bathe in the moonlight and prayed. This is how
I calm down a bit.Oodie let me know how you and your husband are doing today. I am sorry you have to
drive so late at night. I can’t wait for your husband to be home. 🎈Oodie thank you for your support through life for all these years. 💕😎

Good afternoon in Florida hey we are snowing in OZ. Xango what a beautiful post to me.
Honest it made me feel so much better. Xango this thread has been done during a lot
of crisis in my life. I am snapping back to almost normal but this tragedy will be with
all in my region for years to come. I want to say thank you for such a beautiful post. 💕Xango the woman that was killed is well know here in Kansas and she lived maybe 15 minutes
from me. I did not know her but being a DJ I have heard of her. This lady was a good Catholic
Woman and did a lot of charity work she was also the mother of two only 43 years old.
So sad. I have said prayers for all affected by this especially her family.I am just trying to process that whole day. Xango I have a cousin who is a Priest too. 💕
I think you have a beautiful family. I am going to Catholic Mass later today. I need my
faith to help me so I can help others. I may donate some blood if the community still
needs it.I appreciate you and all the strong women who post on this thread more than you will ever
know. Thank you for being a friend. 😘💕 I am having Salmon today.Everyone is fighting some kind of battle. Enjoy your fresh coffee today. 😘
