Conversation -23
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 23 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Another sunny but cool day, should be in the 50’s for the next few days.🌞 Still have snow in the backyard since the sun isn’t high enough to melt it quick. Rain on Thursday so that should help get rid of it. Hate looking out and seeing all white.
It was so great to have your son home for the last few months. So kind of him to stay that long to help you out.💕👍 It will feel like an empty home once he leaves and I know you will miss him.☹
Went for a haircut today.✂ Hubs and his best friend left for the hockey game tonight so I will relax with a cup of tea.☕ Eating back to normal, just trying not to eat too much. Good for the waistline!
Glad you are feeling a bit better.😊 Sending huge hugs to your son on his way home and love to you, hubs and Poppy.🤗💖👨👩👦🐶

I have been getting home too late to post. And, yes, I am resting. It is now after 4 pm and I will be hopping into a shower soon and will take off to be with hubby. Today, I will be bringing potato soup. The huge Thermos I ordered finally was delivered today along with the new patio dining table in sky blue. Tomorrow’s temps will be in the 70s so will work on putting that table together and remove all furniture and things from the lanai (including the rugs) so I can sweep and wash the floor from all the mud and dirt. At least now I can have one room totally done within a day or two.
Hubby is doing good. However, the new radio does have some problems and I will try other outlets to see if that helps in hearing a few FM stations. AM is good and thankfully, hubby enjoys the talk and the banter. At least we have some fun debates that are not one sided. Due to our weather over the weekend, he was in tons of pain on Sunday and kept refusing the meds. I completely understood because the lower back and left leg from the thigh down was giving me a headache. Though the pain was dull, the fact that it kept on going, made it unbearable. Aspirin hit it.
I did a recheck on the mileage to and from the rehab. I thought it was 8 + miles. It is actually 5.5 miles from door to door. But, it does feel like 20+ when you miss the 8 lights. One in particular will stay red over 5 minutes.
Hope you 4 enjoy the rest of the afternoon. Have a great evening as well. The days are getting longer. We had sunlight until 6:45 pm yesterday. I think when we push ahead an hour, Florida will be keeping that time permanent. I do like the extra hour. Seems I get more done. Oh well. I am almost positive that the kids won’t enjoy getting up in darkness and racing to the schoolbus while it is dark outside. And speaking of that. Many ride their bikes to school in dark clothing. No orange vests or bike lights. One really needs to observe the speed limit and even then you need the brights to be sure.

Things We Can’t Control
We develop grace as we learn, with the guiding hand of the universe, life will unfold exactly the way it should.
The idea of trusting the universe is a popular one these days, but many of us don’t know what this really means and we often have a hard time doing it. This is partly because the story of humankind is most often presented as a story about struggle, control, and survival, instead of one of trust and collaboration with the universe. Yet, in truth, we need to adhere to both ideas in this life.
On the one hand, there is much to be said about exerting control over our environment. We created shelter to protect ourselves from the elements. We hunted for animals and invented agriculture to feed ourselves. We built social infrastructures to protect ourselves and create community. This is how we survive and grow as a civilization. However, it is also clear that there are plenty of things that we cannot control, no matter how hard we try, and we often receive support from an unseen force — a universe that provides us with what we cannot provide for ourselves.
It is a good idea to take responsibility for the things in life that we can control or create. We work so we can feed, clothe, and shelter our loved ones and ourselves. We manifest our dreams and visions in physical form with hard work and forethought. But at a certain point, when we have done all that we can, we must let go and allow the universe to take over. This requires trust. It requires a trust that runs deeper than just expecting things to turn out the way we want them to. Sometimes they will, and sometimes they won’t. We develop equanimity and grace as we learn to trust that, with the guiding hand of the universe, life will unfold exactly the way it should. We are engaged in an ongoing relationship with a universe that responds to our thoughts and actions. AMEN! 😎

Good day in beautiful Florida I hope all is well with you and hubby. Xango I am doing
so much better. Xango I went through something strange yesterday. I was in a store
shopping and I looked up and saw two well dressed Nuns from the Catholic Church
the minute I saw them I felt like I was going to faint. My hands instantly did a cross
I smile at them and they smiled at me it was a wonderful feeling. Rare in Kansas do you
see Nuns in a store. 💕❤️Xango don’t tell anyone but I have mentioned it before during my high school years
my goal was to be a Nun. 💕 Well as you can see my plans changed but not my faith.Enjoy your day OZ is alright we have the sun. 😘
