Conversation – 22
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 22 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

To answer your question. In our area the Dollar Tree is no more $1. The prices went up a quarter and that is why I call it the dollar and a quarter store. New name. New image. But it’s still called the Dollar Tree. Go figure!!!!!!
Well, time to hit the sack again. It’s after 3 am here. Had to use the library and noticed the computer was still on for HSN. Heidi is on this week. I will probably miss part of it since hubby has an appointment around the time she is on. Oh well. I may take a sneak peek prior if I’m not pressed for time.
On Amazon, take a look at the recordings with Ella. Sometimes, towards the bottom of the CD. there is a list of the songs that are played and a way to hear it. You may have to go from one CD to another before encountering the listen area. She was one in a million and so was Louie Armstrong. People don’t sing like that anymore. I would say Sheba had to be quite a singer herself to be with the best of the best. I just wish we could hear her sing. Me, I am great at going off key. LOL
Have a great New Year, May it be healthy and happy. May you find new trails to circumvent.

Sheba, You must have been quite young to have worked with Ella Fitzgerald. Since you have posted her songs I looked her up and wow, what an amazing singer and career she had. You must have loved those days!
Happy New Year 2024! Hope your party was fun! Were you wearing any new Heidi by chance? Can’t believe it’s here but it is.
We picked up food and then had champagne at midnight. It tasted very good.
There are lots of people on the new hiking trail and no critters yet. My new loop is a bit longer and I am getting better at it. In the end, it’s a fun change.
Edit to add: you mentioned hoping I was sleeping. Yup, slept 12 hours. Yikes. -
Oodie, What is a Quarter Store? Is it like a Dollar Store?

Happy New Year⛄️
I watched to festivities on TV and saw the ball come down. Hubby went to bed just before 1AM and I stayed up watching the and listening to the music.
The neighborhood had lots of fireworks which started right after the Sun went down and continued until a little after 2AM.
Someone had to much to drink and decided to ride a motorcycle up and down the street in the community untill 5AM.
The day was nice, Sunshine and cool.
Here’s to a great start of the new year.
Take care Sheba 🌹 -
Happy New Year again!🎉 Hope you enjoyed your evening yesterday and all plans went smooth. I made it up until midnight but didn’t waste any time getting in bed. A few firecrackers around the neighborhood.🧨
Taking it easy today, pork, sauerkraut and an apple pie in the oven.🥧 Congrats on the game, so glad they won.👍 Hockey team won, too, hubs going to the game tomorrow with his friend.
Snow showers when I got up this morning, pretty chilly all week.🥶 Has Poppy had his booties on yet? Sending the first hugs of the year to you and the little man.🤗💖🐶

Sleeping too well. I’m off to the dollar and a quarter store and since the Farmer’s Market is next door will definitely go in and pick up my favorite fist (sea bass) and a few other things as well. I am hoping they have some hot soup ready and since lobster salad is on sale will pick that up also. Tomorrow hair appointment and looking forward to the end of the week with the orthopedist.
Hubby is making strides. I gave him some leg exercises that he can do in his wheelchair and also in bed. Got to get those muscles into working order. Told him to start with small things and then to work through the pain. I think the pain will be less as the muscles relax more. I will write more later. Oh, by the way, the moon was radiant and huge Saturday night. Too foggy last night to see anything. Made it home. Hubby ate up a storm. He loved the bar nuts I brought. Had to take it away so he would leave a few for me. Stay warm. I’m sure you are all sitting by the fire.

The Power of Staying Positive
Positive thinking dramatically increases your chances of success in any endeavor.
Our thoughts are not simply ethereal pieces of information that enter our minds and then disappear. The words and ideas that we think can shape our lives and drive us toward success and happiness or failure and distress. How you think and feel can have a profound effect on your ability to recognize opportunity, how well you perform, and the outcome of the goals that you’ve set for yourself. When you maintain an optimistic outlook and make an effort to harbor only positive thoughts, you begin to create the circumstances conducive to you achieving what you desire. You feel in control and few of life’s challenges seem truly overwhelming because it is in your nature to expect a positive conclusion. An optimistic mind is also an honest one. Staying positive does not mean that you ignore difficulties or disregard limitations. Instead, it means spending time focusing only on the thoughts that are conducive to your well-being and progress.Positive thinking dramatically increases your chances of success in any endeavor. When you’re sure that you are worthy and that achievement is within your grasp, you start to relax and look for solutions rather than dwelling on problems. You are more likely to imagine positive situations or outcomes and disregard the thoughts related to giving up, failure, or roadblocks. What the mind expects, it finds. If you anticipate joy, good health, happiness, and accomplishment, then you will experience each one. Thinking positively may sound like a simple shift in attention — and it is — but it is a mind-set that must be developed. Whenever a negative thought enters your mind, try immediately replacing it with a constructive or optimistic one. With persistence, you can condition your mind to judge fleeting, self-defeating thoughts as inconsequential and dismiss them.
It is within your power to become as happy, content, or successful as you make up your mind to be. Staying positive may not have an immediate effect on your situation, but it will likely have a profound and instantaneous effect on your mood and the quality of your experiences. In order for positive thinking to change your life, it must become your predominant mind-set. Once you are committed to embracing positive thinking, you’ll start believing that everything that you want is within your grasp. AMEN. 😉
