Conversation – 22
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 22 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Sheba, Have you worn your mask to sleep in yet? I might try it. My son has the whole upstairs and is so sweet. Hubs is testing positive and my son is offering to bring a mattress into the living area or a futon or air mattress. So Sweet.
So far masking is making a difference for me.
Love how your Mom checks on you. You come from an awesome family. -
Oodie, Was this Dr in a hurry and just throwing out opinions. I know someone who had a total knee replacement and sometimes they can do other things to help. Your Dr. should have provided help or some direction towards what can be done and sounds a bit biased. OK I might not trust many Dr’s.
Well hubs is down now. He is testing positive and seems to be mild for now. He thought it was a flu or cold since he was testing negative yesterday. I’m masked up and testing negative. Sleeping elsewhere tonight but not sure where. I’m threatening to go find a Four Seasons. haha. -
TACI thanks for your concern and opinion. For both of you, hubby is able to move the left leg and is working alone in trying to get the muscles workable. My concern is that the Physical Therapist in Rehab may have written a dissertation stating that my husband had plateaued and at the same time stated he had fallen. Funny, I was not informed of this fall. The orthopedist also said that the knee is beyond repair due to the number of falls hubby had at home. There is an orthopedist off Cape Cod who has been getting tremendous reviews. I am looking for a second opinion. The nurses and aides at the Rehab cannot believe what the physician told us. Hubby has made great strides in the last few weeks and wants home so bad he can taste it. We are not giving up and we will continue to fight this. By the way, he is really practicing lifting each leg up and trying to work through the pain. I am giving him the weekend to rest and starting Monday we will begin the workout. And, if I find him confined to bed there will be you know what to pay. There is also some equipment that I am looking at that could be helpful. He also needs to be able to get in and out of a vehicle so we can head North at some point. He is moving his legs more and more. I am also thinking of a stationary bike pedals that will strengthen the muscles more. This is something we can both use while watching a movie or a program on TV. There are so many alternatives that are useful. I have confidence that this too shall pass and will teach both of us what perseverance can do. Prior to the bladder surgery on November 27th, hubby was not able to move his legs. Today, he is trying and proving everyone wrong. Prior to the surgery, the head nurse/unit manager asked me to cancel because the catheter had been in too long. I almost did and told hubby about that conversation. He said if he didn’t do the surgery he would never know if it would have worked. As it turned out that nurse was wet behind the noodle. Well, time for me to call it a day. Heidi will be on in a few hours and I could really use her sense of humor. Oh, yes, Sheba, I do carry the masks with me just in case and I do mask up in crowded situations .
