Conversation – 22
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 22 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Good afternoon in Oz. Thanks for the well wishes, this has been a long one. I am feeling a little better and eating a little more. I haven’t done anything for at least a week because I have no energy.🙁 Decided to start drinking some OJ each day for some sugar and also one or two pieces of candy. So I did a few chores today – like starting from scratch.😕
The only thing that I felt like eating yesterday was Chicken McNuggets. It has been many, many years since I had those but they popped into my head. I just figured not too overpowering or heavy. Hubs went and got me some and they were delicious. So he went and got me more today. Have to try adding to my diet gradually. Did not go to the PCP. Tired of seeing people I don’t even know. Sure hope your daughter is getting a little better each day.🤞 I will say a prayer.🙏
Started watching the Grammy’s, saw about the first half, fell asleep😴, woke up around 11:00 and went to bed. Not too bad but I don’t know who half the people are. Guess that’s called old age.🤣
Going to get me some chicken pieces, warm hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

Noise as a Distraction
Distracting yourself with social media and television can become mind-numbing, if not taken in moderation.
Our lives are typically filled with noise. There are the noises from the outside world that we cannot control, and there are the noises we allow into our lives. These noises, from seemingly innocuous sources like the television and radio, can actually help us avoid dealing with uncomfortable thoughts and emotions. However, using noise as a distraction hurts more than it helps because you are numbing yourself to what may be internally bubbling up to the surface for you to look at and heal. Distracting yourself with social media, television, or other background noises can also prevent you from finding closure to issues that haunt you.
Noise as a distraction can affect us in many ways. It can help you stay numb to emotions that you don’t want to feel, allow you to avoid dealing with problems, distract you from having to think, and make it easier for you to forget reality. Drowning out the thoughts and emotions you find uncomfortable or overwhelming can complicate your issues because it allows them to fester. By tuning out noise and relishing silence, you create the space to experience and express what you are hiding. It is only then that self-exploration can begin in earnest and you can stare down frightening issues. In silence, it becomes easier to let your strongest feelings come forth, deal with them, and find new ways of resolving your problems.
When you go within without the veil of noise to shield you from yourself, you’ll be able to figure out what you need to heal. Embracing silence and introspection allows you to work through your thoughts and emotions and transmute them. Free of the need for noise, you can accept your pain, anger, and frustration as they come up and turn them into opportunities to evolve.

Hey no matter where he went in Spain I am sure he has stories to tell. Our son will be leaving at the end of February his stay was longer due to things happening.
I am so glad he works remote it is good to have him home. I am sure his girlfriend will be
waiting for him when he returns to GA. 💕🎈We had so much happen during his stay and I thank god he was able to come because
while we were in Colorado we had major snow and cold here I am thinking the cats.
Our son took care of them and even filmed them. If a pipe had burst we would have never
known it. I am glad Poppy was safe and at home. Well the fall on Ice I had did not help
so he said he will leave at the end of the month so we can Super Bowl together and celebrate
his birthday which is this month. Funny how things turned out to me it is a blessings.

Good afternoon in sunny Florida. 😎🎈I enjoyed the Grammy Award Show I think it
was well done. I was not surprised Taylor Swift won a big deal. Xango she was winning
way before she met Travis. I hope next week goes great for us.How are you feeling today? if your issues persist I would call your PC and just let them
know what is going on.Daughter is a bit better today. I was stressed out for the past few days wishing I was there
to help her. We have two other daughters that live there so she is being taken care of and
my sister lives there with her family not to mention cousins. Our son is here until the end of the month. This was not planned it just happened the
freezing weather had a bit to do with it but when I fell on the Ice he decided to be here
a bit longer. Son will go back at the end of the month. I have often said I wish all four of
our children could come back home. We miss them at the table or in the yards. 😘Oz is very cold today I am so glad I have jackets and coats to wear.
How is your niece doing? I don’t think Covid will ever go away. Sigh..

Ernest Miller Hemingway was born on July 21, 1899, in Oak Park, Illinois, to a well-educated and musically inclined family. His father was a physician, and his mother was a voice and music teacher. Growing up in a comfortable, upper-middle-class suburb, Hemingway developed a passion for outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and nature exploration, which would later influence his writing.
After high school, Hemingway worked as a reporter for The Kansas City Star before volunteering as an ambulance driver during World War I. His experiences during the war greatly impacted him and would become a recurring theme in his work.
Following the war, Hemingway settled in Paris, where he joined a community of expatriate writers and artists. It was there that he honed his distinctive writing style, characterized by concise language, understatement, and a focus on action and emotion. He published his first major work, “The Sun Also Rises,” in 1926, which solidified his reputation as a significant literary voice of the time.
Hemingway’s adventurous spirit took him to various parts of the world, which provided material for his writing. He reported on the Spanish Civil War and World War II, and his experiences formed the basis for his novel “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” which explores themes of honor, sacrifice, and love against the backdrop of the Spanish Civil War.
In addition to his novels, Hemingway wrote numerous short stories, including “The Snows of Kilimanjaro” and “The Old Man and the Sea,” which won him the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1953 and the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954. “The Old Man and the Sea” is often cited as one of his most enduring works, exemplifying his mastery of concise prose and profound storytelling.
Hemingway’s personal life was marked by adventure, creativity, and tumultuous relationships. He married four times and had a reputation for his larger-than-life persona. However, he also struggled with depression and health issues, and in 1961, he tragically took his own life at the age of 61.
Ernest Hemingway’s legacy as a writer endures, and his impact on American literature is immeasurable. He is celebrated for his economical and impactful writing style, his portrayal of the human condition, and his unflinching exploration of themes such as courage, love, and the struggle for meaning in a chaotic world. His contributions continue to influence generations of writers and readers around the world.
