Conversation – 22
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 22 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

I fell asleep and just decided to pay a visit. No, I fell asleep in bed while working on a jigsaw puzzle in Kindle. Anyway, here is an update. Because I was busy doing other things, did not notice the time. It was after 5 pm and I was a bit hungry. Decided to order out and have it delivered to the Rehab. So glad I did this. Arrived at the Rehab and hubby’s room and found out he didn’t eat dinner. Big smile on his face when I told him what I did. There is a Pizzeria about 3 miles from the Rehab and I ordered two dinners. Hubby loves eggplant, and so I decided on that and for me I went overboard with mussels, clams and shrimp and what a surprise, they threw in calamari. Both came with a salad and rolls with the salad dressing on the side. My meal came with angel hair and hubby’s with spaghetti. Hubby had to be starved. When done he was taking his finger along the sides and bottom of the container to get up every morsel of the sauce. I also gave him some of my dinner to try. It was as if the guy had not eaten in months. Loved everything. “Oh no, I’m not hungry,” he said. Famous last words😀😀
Hubby is having a dither of a problem using his left foot due to swelling of the knee. I have a feeling that the orthopedist will recommend a cortisone shot. This works just for a few days. However, I’m thinking that a muscle relaxer may also help and will ask about that as well. Meanwhile he is asking to go out and since I’m driving a smaller vehicle, it may be something we can do. Though he is unable to walk and stand I think someone can help him into the car and on the return help him return to the wheelchair. He is dying for a visit to Costco. Not sure if going inside would be feasible, but could be doable if I had help. Going to work on that one.
The van will take up to two weeks to repair because of other cars ahead of us. I am actually not in a hurry, although there are lap blankets and quilts inside for the cold A/C days. I did purchase the sherpa blanket in Queen for him and his roommate and neither have complained about being cold since. Though the beds are just a tad over a twin, the blanket is easy to fold giving both the warmth they need. Since hubby is complaining about being itchy, I will be bringing the Shark vac with me again to do the mattress. I will also use Clean Boss following. The LPN should be there to help or to give hubby a shower while I’m cleaning his side of the room. Actually, he will help to remove the mattress and to unplug the bed so it can be moved. I want to do the underneath portion of the bed and the floor as well. I think the housekeeping staff leaves a lot to be desired. But it’s not only here but other rehab and convalescent homes as well. This could be the reason why so many become ill. I’m not a clean freak, but do like to take precautions.
Hope your evening went well. I just found some hot chocolate mix and it will be good at breakfast. The new mattress and box spring are a godsend. My back hasn’t felt this good in months. And, I took a measurement of our metal bed from the floor to the first rail and I can purchase up to a 6″ mattress. Well, I need to get some shut eye. Trivia tomorrow which I will set up very early. Not sure about DEFG since it’s Christmas weekend, but will give her the high sign.

Sheba, Hello. the gym would mainly be for winter with these short days. Like you, I love being outside.
The black out curtains are for the loft upstairs. We replaced the sliding glass doors (years ago) and the new door’s windows have the blinds inside. We did this downstairs and in our bedroom as well. Apparently light gets through it enough to reflect off computers and effect sleep.
My son, on his own, without my knowledge bought 3 stand alone screens to put in front and they don’t work at all plus they take up space, wobble and are an eyesore. Good try though. So, I bought these removable curtains and put them on the sliding glass door windows. The loft also has a smaller round window that the sun shines through, and a cut out. The hall light downstairs is just below the cutout and adds light upstairs. Now I guess we will have a dark room. All removable so we can adjust as needed.
Have a great evening. Glad all your appts are over and all went well. You must be so happy.
