Conversation – 22
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 22 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Sheba, Hello! We had rain last night and the night before. It rained hard for a short period of time and there was lightning too. We were lucky that the daylight hours were a mix of sunny and cloudy.
Christmas Eve is almost here and I am drawing a blank. Maybe we will dine-in with take away or go somewhere locally. Ideally I would find a place with food and music. I would also like to drive around and look at the lights. My son is off from work both days.
Hope you have lots of fun with your gathering. Do people where you live put up a lot of lights? Is your neighbor having a party or is that a New Year’s Party?
Got to check out a friend’s new remodel of her Kitchen, floors and lighting this afternoon. It was all original, at least 40 years old and a water leak is what started all of it. It looks so fresh and modern and airy. They did a great job. Took about 5-6 months. It was a lot to deal with it does look great.
You have so much loss at this time of year. It is sad to think of those who left us and those we miss. I know you will be thinking about them, especially your Father. How is the relative who is in hospice doing? -
I cannot believe that it takes me at least a half hour to drive 8 miles to and from the Rehab. One of these days I will time those traffic lights. I am home and unladed the vehicle with the goodies from Costco. So disappointed that the tin cookies sold out. On line they are $40 for two which includes shipping. So, I picked up some candy and they are almost out of that as well. I could try another Costso, but decided to purchase Christmas cookies from the Farmer’s Market tomorrow. They are all made on the premises along with cakes, pies, muffins, bread, etc..
Hubby was Ok tonight. When I left, he was digging into the cookie tin. Guess he didn’t like his dinner. He was eating cookies like they were going out of style. Tomorrow is another day. Think I will get some shut eye and do a couple of loads of laundry before venturing out and about.
By the way, I saw pitman on line a few weeks ago. Was nice to see his post. Have a great evening. It’s almost Christmas.

Good afternoon, my friend. Cool, cloudy day but at least it is not freezing. In fact, it will be near 60 on Christmas.☺ No problems driving anywhere Sunday or Monday.
Spent a few hours at mom’s today, all is well. Stopped for a few things to take to SIL’s on Christmas.🎄🎅 Not much else going on, staying in tomorrow. Don’t want to be stuck in traffic with last minute shoppers.😣 I’m sure all is organized in your house for your company.👍
Have a relaxing evening, hugs under the mistletoe for you and Poppy.🤗💖🎋

Hi @sheba2011
Taking some time out for me and will be heading to a shower and then on to Costco. I have a trunk full of donations and that will be my first stop. Also have Thermos in hand with hot soup for hubby. That dinner last night was awesome. I have ordered food from this restaurant often and “knock on wood.” we have enjoyed every meal. Last night was exceptional.
I’m not sure about Christmas Eve’s meals at rehab. Christmas Day will be wait and see. I think hubby was in this rehab last year during the holidays. The dinner meal was a takeout bought by the Administration. It was awful. I will wait and may order out.
Today I will be purchasing the holiday cookie tin for the nurses and the reception area. I will also be including the Head Nurse and the LPN who has helped hubby from the beginning. They share a bunch of laughs together. Laughter is good for the soul and for getting better. I may pick up the sea bass today since I will have the freezer bag with me. Then again, may wait until next week. By the way, speaking of sea bass, don’t overcook it. If you are baking it in the oven check it every few minutes. I like using Panko with my spices. I usually make mine on top of the stove with olive oil. That way I can check to see if the middle part is done. Of course you can do the same when baking. Just do not bake 35 minutes plus. You could lose the sweetness. I fell in love with this fish when we had a home on the bay side of a tiny island and our neighbor was a fisherman. This particular fish can be seen and caught in New England waters during a two week period in July. Today, fish is one of my favorites. My mom used to bake it to death and it was always hard to swallow. So be careful on this one.
Have a great day. I’m recharging the battery on Kindle and keeping fingers crossed that it will let me type this time. See you in Trivia. The thread is up and running.

Mary Did You Know (The Voice Performance)
Song by Jordan SmithMary, did you know
That your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
That your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
That your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
And this Child that you delivered will soon deliver you
Mary, did you know
That your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
That your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know
That your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?
Oh, Mary did you know
Mary did you know
Oh, the blind will see
The deaf will hear
The dead will live again
The lame will leap
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb
Mary, did you know
That your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
That your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know
That your Baby Boy is heaven’s perfect Lamb?
And the sleeping Child you’re holding is the Great, the Great, I Am
Mary did you know

Saying Yes to the Universe
Saying Yes to the universe opens the gate to receiving what your soul really wants.
The hardest thing about saying yes to the universe is that it means accepting everything life puts in front of us. Most of us have a habit of going through our days saying no to the things we don’t like and yes to the things we do, and yet, everything we encounter is our life. We may be afraid that if we say yes to the things we don’t like, we will be stuck with them forever, but really, it is only through acknowledging the existence of what’s not working for us that we can begin the process of change. So saying yes doesn’t mean indiscriminately accepting things that don’t work for us. It means conversing with the universe, and starting the conversation with a very powerful word — yes. When we say yes to the universe, we enter into a state of trust that whatever our situation is, we can work with it. We express confidence in ourselves, and the universe, and we also express a willingness to learn from whatever comes our way, rather than running and hiding when we don’t like what we see. The question we might ask ourselves is what it will take for us to get to the point of saying yes. For some of us, it takes coming up against something we can’t ignore, escape, or deny, and so we are left no choice but to say yes. For others, it just seems a natural progression of events that leads us to making the decision to say yes to life.
The first step to saying yes is realizing that in the end it is so much easier than the alternative. Once we understand this, we can begin examining the moments when we resist what is happening, and experiment with occasionally saying yes instead. It might be scary at first, and even painful at times, but if we continue to say yes to every moment through the process, we will discover the joy of being in a positive conversation with a force much bigger than ourselves.
