Conversation – 21

Good Day Peeps in our Wonderful Community this is Thread number 21 of the Conversation Series. 😎😉
I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Hi. Just read your post and I have an idea. Why not use take out for Turkey day. That way you can be a “lady” of leisure. You won’t have to be in a crowded situation. And, lastly, no snow in the forecast as far as I can tell for California. I have friends who do this every year and the turkey has been juicy. I will be picking our turkey up next week (probably Tuesday). I do not purchase a frozen one because it takes longer to cook. I like the fresh and will be using the Farmer’s Market for this. I will pick up the stuffing at Costco and will add all kinds of ingredients such as carrots, chestnuts, bok choy, onions, etc.. The market makes their own cranberry and orange sauce which I hate to admit, is better than mine. Not sure if I will purchase sweet potatoes or go with the Asian one, or I may do both. For the two of us, I usually purchase a 15-18 lb. turkey. Anything smaller is less meat. Leftovers either go in the freezer or will make a wonderful soup. Ok, now that I made you hungry, why not check out turkey to go from your favorite restaurant. It will make things a lot easier especially when you are still fighting with that bug.
Now, go rest and try to get rid of that bug. Dr. Oodie’s orders.

Make sure the weather is in your favor at least 10 days. I don’t think you and hubby would want to drive in snow or freezing rain. I hope you have safe travels. Good time to be with family and for hubby a week off including the holiday. As for Covid. It is the fastest thing to catch. Less than 5 minutes with a person who has it or is about to have it. To think that a hotel room gave us both Covid the first time just hours before our cruise. I had never felt so sick and so vulnerable. Thank goodness for MSNBC on the cruise which gave me the signs of Covid and most importantly, not to stay in bed but to move around. And on that cruise I kept away from people and the cruise physician. And to think that our vitamins helped. Most importantly, the Immune ones.
Oh how I hate autumn. First off those oak leaves and my sinuses and then the yellow or brown leaves. Most beautiful of course are the maples. Though the colors are magnificent, it’s the change in weather. Of course, you know, I like the winter first and then spring. I do miss the snow, but not the shoveling. I hate and dread the raking of leaves and of course, we have none of that in Florida.
On your trip, just remember to pack some snacks and maybe something for lunch. Since you may be driving, bring some heavy coats just in case with boots. I will never forget about returning home from the Caribbean in a blizzard. My boots were in the closet with the rest of our wintry wear. Trudging through knee deep snow in shoes meant for the indoors or for warmer climate was not an easy feat. Why we left the warm climate of the Caribbean instead of waiting for the next day to travel is still beyond me. I felt real sorry for the bus driver who had a flimsy bus and hearing his expletives did not help our morale. We were real lucky that we made it home in one piece. Anyway, watch the weather.
Take care and get some rest. I have the plumber Monday morning and when he is done I will be driving to hubby’s urologist to give them the co-pay. If it’s early enough will go to Costco for gas and to walk around the warehouse. I will be picking up some items for the nurses and reception area. The Christmas decorations are already up and I must admit they are real pretty.
I will make a turkey at home and will bring it to the Rehab with all the fixings. Not sure if I will carve it at home or at the rehab. The D-Best cart has been very useful. It is serving me well and really helps my back. Take care and have a wonderful Monday. -

Good evening I hope you feel better soon. If all goes well I will be in Colorado and no
I will not be cooking there are at least 20 good cooks there. 💕😉 I will tell more as the
date gets closer. My one and only things is covid and how did I get covid a few months
ago? My brother and his wife they in my home for 45 minutes. I managed to keep safe
during my cancer treatment which took weeks and during surgery it’s covid that is stealing
joy from people. Taci I still mask up and I will mask up around my family.I am taking my laptop so as I sit somewhere away from the crowd I will still do my thread.
I will be gone around a week and that is due to the weather. I may go up in the mountains
but I am not skiing I have great bones and I intend to keep them that way. 😎Taci what people don’t know is I have done this thread from Colorado I just never said anything it was
no big deal this was before cancer and covid. Prayers Up for a safe trip.
Taci our son is coming here until after Christmas he works remotely and will return to Atlanta after Christmas.
Son is fine taking care of Poppy and he knows about the cats. 😉😎 I am covering everything. -

Sheba, Still sick here. I have good and better days. My son is still sick too. It wasn’t Covid and we had flu shots. It’s hot here during the day, in the low 80’s. Going to bed soon.
I don’t know what to do for Thanksgiving. I would love a nice place to go out to but after the last few years of going out, the places were overly crowded and gross, I ‘ll probably cook. At least it will be easier and relaxing.
Are you cooking? I don’t want to ask too many questions. 🙂 -
Good afternoon in busy Oz. Mom and sis were a little tired from the wedding so I stayed home today. Will visit in the next couple days.
I did see Kelce made it to Argentina and I did see she finally made it public with the “kiss seen around the world.”🥰💗🙌 Also changed a few lyrics in her songs for him. Cute couple, I wish them all the best.🤗🤞
Hubs had a nice time and I made it through the games last night. Although when he came home, I was sitting up in bed with my book in hand and dozing off.😴 Never even heard the garage door.
Hope you have a good Sunday, thanks for the bluetini.🍸 Relax tonight, hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

I was told that hubby ate his entire dinner including dessert. However, he still had room for the fish soup, beef with mixed vegetables and kung pao tofu. There wasn’t one thing on this menu that wasn’t delicious. Hubby ate as if he hadn’t had dinner. Ok, now for the full story. I was running very late due to a phone conversation. I actually didn’t order anything until 5:45pm and then had to wait another 10 minutes before the food was ready. I can say wholeheartedly It was worth the wait time.
I arrived at the Rehab about 6:45pm with food in hand. Signed in and then went to hubby’s room. The front wheels of his chair were sticking out from the door in anticipation of my arrival. His eyes popped when he spied the paperbag with the plastic bag over it. He was like a little kid in a candy store. He had over 2 helpings of the soup and enjoyed the two entrees. There is still some left of the entrees for dinner tonight along with a container of white rice. So happy that I decided on Asian food.
Well, one cabinet is entirely emptied and I was able to use Clean Boss. This bottle did have a heavy odor, but not enough to toss. Returning home that area smelled clean and I was able to begin putting some things away. Loaded the dishwasher with more things and will start on that
section when I return from rehab. I need to empty the glassware cabinet next. I was able to clean two drawers for utensils last night.I am happy to note that it’s been two days without seeing or hearing a varmint. Sleeping through the night never felt so good. Tomorrow the painter returns to finish the work and I also will see the plumber. Hubby has an urologist appointment tomorrow. I didn’t find out until yesterday and it’s too late to cancel the plumber. Contacted the head nurse and asked if he knew about the appointment. He forgot to tell me. On my way to see hubby tomorrow, I will stop at that office to give them the co-pay and to obtain the information. Hubby’s surgery is two weeks from tomorrow. To say I am scared, concerned, worried is an understatement.
Well, guess your time for seeing your mom is just around the corner. I am hoping for you to be there in time for Thanksgiving or Christmas. What a wonderful time of year to celebrate and be in an area you so long for. By the way, I loved your new bedroom ideas. My favorite was your 2nd choice. Nothing like having a roaring fire going just prior to bedtime. I hope you can have that home and then some. You have much to look forward to when the time is right.
Enjoy the day. Remember to take your sinus meds after working outside and raking those leaves. Have a wonderful Sunday.
