Sheba, Hello! Tomorrow evening is the big Heidi Show. Hopefully, Fairmaiden will return sometime when it works for her. I recall both she and her husband were hit with some health issues ( as you mentioned). She was interesting and fun on the blogs. I love hearing from collectors and shoppers.
Regarding the Covid vax, I’m hearing it will be like the flu shot where they just best guess the strains.
Hope all is well in Oodie.
Hiked late because of the heat and humidity (left over from another Hurricane Jova apparently).
On the way out a Bobcat crossed my path, it was way up the path but the one I needed to leave, so I waited and it decided to sit down, and watch me. OK then i took another path, which was nearby and kept looking back and the cat was still watching, so I started to run out. The Coyotes were barking away too. Weird night. Hubs says that they aren’t usually dangerous. Lesson learned, now I know I can run more haha.
To answer your question, I don’t listen to music. Back in the day I always was plugged in and loved music, the louder the better. Techno and all. Since I’m hiking more places I need to hear what is going on around me. Plus, didn’t want to damage my hearing.

I totally understand I have many siblings who help our mother the only thing she does
not do is drive she can if she wants to but we prefer to help her I can’t wait to see her.

Good afternoon to you. I agree, the tennis match was good, I was hoping it would go a little longer just like the crowd.🎾 The women’s final was super!

Sis leaves on Wednesday so I will be a busy bee for six weeks.🐝 I know mom will be bored without someone there 24/7. Also puts a lot of stress on me because I worry that she is okay. She won’t move so have to do what I can.☹ Mom Fridays, here we come!

Another car appointment Thursday, mom on Friday, so trying to get all my errands done now. Only have two arms and two legs.😮 I think my bartender will be busy!!🍷 Hang in there with me – sending hugs to you, Poppy and black kitty.🤗💖

Finding Joy in Meaningless Tasks

Finding joy and reason in mundane tasks can shift the flow, and make it not so bad afterall.

Spending an afternoon working on the car, gardening, or even cleaning the house can be fun when we have an interest in the project. Yet, we can also find joy in the chores and tasks we don’t especially like. All we need is a change of attitude, a different approach, a little music, or some help from friends, and the tasks or responsibilities that we perceive as tedious can become a source of pleasure.

Most of us tend to put off what it is that we don’t want to do. Yet, one of the best approaches to an unpleasant task or dull chore is to dive right in and be fully mindful of what it is that you are doing. You may not perceive washing the kitchen floor as enjoyable, but it can be if you view it as a loving act for both yourself and your family. Lose yourself in paying your bills, and thank the universe that you are able to receive the service you are writing that check for. Mending can become a treasure hunt to find the right button and matching thread. And, each morning, see how neatly you can make your bed and take pride in your results.

Playing your favorite music, dancing while you work, or creating a mental list of everything you are grateful for are just a few ways to turn an unexciting activity into a fun event. Ask a friend to help you clean out the basement or paint a room; provide some yummy snacks as an incentive. Look for joy in doing your mundane activities, and they’ll become a source of enjoyment rather than a tolerable duty. AMEN! 😘🌹

How is your hand doing today? Can you have it looked at in Urgent Care or your own Physician?

This is concerning you need both hands. Oodie when I burned my hand last week it was
annoying just using one hand.

This made your husband get out of bed and try to see if you were alright. I hate they had
to put the catheter back in and I know it is not easy very uncomfortable.

The A/C not being on in this weather is annoying too I would go with another company.
Oodie you are an older adult with some issues and they should make your home a priority.
