Conversation – 20

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 20 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Good afternoon in Florida I am still having problems posting.
I hope you are feeling better today. I hope this goes through.

-
@Sheba 🌻🌻🌻🍂🍂🍂
Good afternoon Sheba 😊, I hope you are well 😊.
Glad you were able to post. I don’t know if it’s the tablet or HSN, things look different now. But still able to get into this site, and that’s a good thing.
We had some rain yesterday, and the days before that it rained. The grass and plants were very happy 😊. -
I am doing fine just a little frustrated with the Recaptcha.
How are you? I know you were thinking of your mother the other day.
Keep those feelings I know she is looking out for you.I miss my dad too and I think of him often.

All my Critters are coming every night as OZ is much cooler in the past few days.
-
Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Oodie the system is seriously having an issue
with the Recaptcha. I am trying my best to deal with it.
Oodie how is your husband doing so far this week? I did enjoy Heidi Daus Visit.
-
Good Morning in S. California. I know you are getting busy and excited.
Taci thank you for posting on the Heidi Daus Thread. The world is full of
ugly people who don’t care what others think. I am a true believer that god
do not like ugly. Nuff said.Hey Happy and safe trails to you.

-
Sheba, I am packed & ready with the exception of a few items, we are carry-on only. I have been packing and unpacking and reworking my 2 bags. We will do laundry and leave behind the older items that we no longer want (but will wear on this last trip).
Too bad about the recaptcha issues.
Hike was nice since it has cooled down quite a bit. One snake sighting, non venomous. Lots of cute bunnies.
On the Heidi thread, people are all entitled to their opinions and everyone certainly has them but why be such a negative bitter poster? Not everything is for everyone. Heidi Daus is really lovely in her attitude, energy, and appearance. I’m sure she isn’t threatened in the least. :).
Have a great evening! -
Good afternoon in the ‘burgh. I am so glad your sister is safely traveling.
I know you feel alone right now just hang on she will be back.Oz is cooling down a bit at least no A/C is on and I am happy with that.
Enjoy your day i am still dealing with posting problems as you can see I am
still trying.Sending cool vibrations to you and Jake’s Canvas. How I miss Jake.
Lady I look after four cats now that Charlie is the cat is gone. All cats just seem to
come to me. LOL!

Feeling Lost
The beauty of being lost is the same thing that makes it scary — we must look within ourselves to find the way.
When we are lost, we typically look at a map to figure out where we are and how to get to our chosen destination. This works well, assuming there is a map of the territory in which we find ourselves and we know our destination. However, this is not always the case. At this time in human history, we are all venturing into uncharted territory, whether we know it or not. And as individuals, we may find ourselves covering ground that our predecessors never even knew existed. When we look to them for guidance, they often come up short. Not knowing exactly where we are, we find ourselves unsure of which way to go, and eventually the uneasy feeling that we are lost presents itself.
The beauty of being lost is the same thing that makes it scary — it asks us to look within ourselves to find the way. If we have no map, we must go on instinct, relying on our inner compass to show us which way to go. This can be scary because so much seems to be riding on it. We fear we might go too far in the wrong direction or become paralyzed and make no progress at all. Yet, this is the very challenge we need to develop our ability to trust ourselves. We are also learning to trust that the universe will support and guide us. We may believe this intellectually, but it is only through experience that it becomes knowledge of the heart. Learning to be okay with being lost and trusting that we will be guided, we begin our journey.
We can support ourselves by confirming that we don’t need to know exactly where we are going in order to take our first steps. We are learning to feel our own way, rather than following an established path, and in doing so we learn to trust ourselves. It is this trust that connects us to the universe and reminds us that no matter how lost we feel as we journey, on the inner level we are already home. AMEN!

@Sheba 🌻🌻🌻🌻🍂🍂
Hello Sheba, it’s nice to read your temperatures are starting to come down. And Fall is inching into the air. 🍂🍂🍂
Yesterday was two grand nieces birthday, one here in the USA and one in Brazil. The one here turned 20 years old and she is in the second year in college.
The one in Brazil turned 17 and in high school.
Hard to believe it’s 22 years ago 9/11 tragedy happened.
In December it’s 23 years since I lost my mother. Lately I find myself thinking of her. It’s almost overwhelming, I see something, I hear something, I feel something and the memories come back. The weather here continues to be extremely hot. Last night we had a huge thunderstorm. Lots of needed rains that lasted for more than one hour. The plants are very happy.
Take care Sheba 🌹 -
Good Afternoon Oodie I hope things are going good for you today. Pretty sure you are
super busy just let us know how you are. ✨🌹
-
Not super busy, but should be. Am super tired. That phone call should not have happened at that
hour. It could have waited until either after 6 or 7 am. . I am still reeling. Hubby was fine, though the nurses had to think of way to get him back to bed since he was unable to stand or walk. He had a new catheter inserted and he seemed OK during my visit. When I saw that the rehab was the one behind the call, I thought briefly of getting into the car and driving. After all, it is only 8 miles from door to door. But, I did listen to the voice mail and decided to call. Normally, the switchboard is closed after 7 pm, and when I placed the call, I managed to wake someone up and explained the reason. Evidently, he was able to contact the nurse and she in turn returned my call.Several thoughts went through my mind yesterday morning. I had left him with a couple of small apples and the thought that he had taken a huge bite and consequently it got lodged in his th roat came to mind. Maybe he fell out of bed. Was he rushed to ER??? Did he take another turn with the pneumonia??? These were several of the thoughts that were not explained. However, when the nurse phoned, she reassured me that hubby was OK.. But, it was the rule to notify me of what had occurred. At 3 am???? Could the call have waited for a later time??? Thankfully, he is OK. When I saw him yesterday, he remembered everything. The reason behind this was he was concerned with my hand and being able to drive home. He forgot that there was no way I could contact him. But, he could. As of now, the phone is on his tray. Will he use it…..only time will tell. Consequently, tomorrow I will meet with the head nurse/unit mgr to go over protocol.
I have been dozing on and off all day. Think I will t ry a wake up shower and get going to rehab. This time my bag will be empty, but as the saying goes, “have van, will travel.”
Have a wonderful afternoon. Looking forward to Heidi’s visit. Did you see the “Paris ” necklace. I also love the black cat with the Jack O Lantern. Should be a fun evening. Her laughter and smile is always catching. For once, I need this. I am just totally surprised that there are no markdowns or free shipping for the 29th. Maybe that will change later. I hope.
-
Good Morning in S. California hey never a dull moment in your neck of the woods.
Holy Smoke! Please have fun but be careful on those trails.
I get you about the headphones I sometimes wear Bose Headset and sometimes I just
enjoy the view Poppy is always with me never know what critter will come along.I can’t wait to see Heidi tonight and this is her 20th anniversary on HSN. ✨😎
Taci at least she is here for two days.Happy Trails To You. 🎶🎶I know you are getting excited about your upcoming trip.

-
Sheba, hello and I know who you are watching on HSN now.
Sounds like Oodie is eyeing the Paris necklace. So many lovely pieces.I’m pretty much packed except for just a few items. For me it’s a bit overwhelming.
The Covid vax’s won’t be offered here until mid October so not sure if I will wait or ask for it. Undecided.Do you use your phone for music or airbuds? Remember boom boxes, cassettes , 8 track tapes and stereo’s?
Have a great evening. -
Taci,
I don’t know if this will through the recaptcha is not letting me post.
This is a PITA.
I do wear Bose Headsets and I have an Ipod that has all my music.
I am enjoying Heidi Daus and Adam Freeman. 🌹😘

Good afternoon in the ‘burgh. Lady just relax and do your errands I understand you
will be super busy with Mom Friday and then some. Here you go please enjoy. 😎😘💕

Fear of the Future
Fear of the future can paralyze us, but we can allow it to unfold easily when we keep to the present moment.
Though much human fear is based on uncertainty, foreknowledge does not always ease the mind. It is often when our futures look brightest that our resolve crumbles and we veer off course. We can recognize that success is on the horizon, but we cannot discern how it will impact our lives. Because success can affect us in complex and unpredictable ways, taking us out of the status quo and pushing us into new circumstances that test our limits, the mere idea of attaining the life of our dreams can shake us to the core. Fear of the future is often closely intermingled with the fear that growing into your own potential will both change you irrevocably and force you to face situations for which you aren’t ready. It is normal to unconsciously project ahead into the future and see success as a great weight bearing down on you. It is important to remember, however, that all the life changes the future will bring will be implemented into your life slowly and gradually.
When we visualize the future, we tend to focus on outcomes rather than the steps we will take to reach those conclusions. Thus, we may forget that growth is progressive. Your soul longs to fulfill its purpose — a purpose you agreed to in the timelessness in which you existed before your birth. Because of this, neither you nor the universe will set any circumstance before you that you are not capable of handling. Fear of the future can paralyze you, preventing you from living in the moment and from working toward your goals in a mindful manner. The key to conquering this fear lies in awareness. When you can identify the irrational thoughts that frighten you, you can replace them with logical, self-affirming ideas. If you are afraid that you won’t be satisfied when you accomplish a certain goal, remember that no one achievement represents an end in and of itself. And if you fear recognition or feel unworthy, consider that even now you are deserving of praise.
Should fear of the future strike you as you strive to create, to excel, to grow, and to evolve, assert your courage. Assume that your fear is based on a false assumption and quell it with facts. Try to disregard past patterns and focus on the present by stilling the inner voice that comments critically on all you do. Tell yourself that the inevitability of your success is based not on luck or a universal mistake but on your already established talents, drive, imagination, and inner strength. Each time you overcome your fear of the future, you chip away at its very foundations. Eventually, you will clear a gap through which you can gaze upon the future with unhindered optimism.

Good Morning Peeps and welcome to a new week make this Monday a good one.
We Will Remember. 🌹 -

-

-

On the evening of September 10, 2001, 2977 people were going about their nightly routine, not knowing they were living the last hours of their life. They went to bed and held their loved ones while they slept for the last time.
On the morning of September 11, they woke up, had breakfast, and enjoyed the sunny morning of a promising summer day. They kissed their partners, said goodbye to their children, and went to work or boarded a plane and never came back.
Never in their wildest dreams would they have known the fate that awaited them. We take time to remember them and to acknowledge the many first responders who lost their lives in an effort to save them.

HI SHEBA JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW ALL IS GREAT .LOVE LOAF
-
Thank god I love you. 😘😎💕That is all I ever wanted to know. 💕
-
Good morning in Florida. How are things going for you today? This is a somber time for
our nation today. I remember that day all too well. 🌹Xango you and your hubby have a nice Monday. Oz is having some rain as I type and it is
dark outside. We need the rain it has not rained in over a month.
-
Good morning on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 💕😎🌹Oodie I did read your post from earlier
this morning I do hope you are sleeping and resting as I type this note. How is your hand doing today? Can you have it looked at in Urgent Care or your own Physician?
This is concerning you need both hands. Oodie when I burned my hand last week it was
annoying just using one hand. This made your husband get out of bed and try to see if you were alright. I hate they had
to put the catheter back in and I know it is not easy very uncomfortable. The A/C not being on in this weather is annoying too I would go with another company.
Oodie you are an older adult with some issues and they should make your home a priority. Please let me know how things go today and I am praying for all the best. ✨

-
Good Morning in S. California looks like the family is getting their groove back. 😎✨
Glad your son is on the mend and you are hiking at great lengths. ✨Nice view too.Heidi Daus will be on tomorrow and if I only hear her laughter like I have for 20 years
I will be happy. I will post the Heidi Daus Thread. ✨💕Taci I miss Fairemaiden I just wonder how her husband is doing. So many people have
just left the community due to health issues or spouses with health issues.Hey Happy Trails To You. 🎶🎶

Taci something I always wanted to ask do you listen to music with headphones during your
hikes? I love my music I can walk longer and it feel really good when those endorphins kick
in. 😎 -
Sheba, Hello! Tomorrow evening is the big Heidi Show. Hopefully, Fairmaiden will return sometime when it works for her. I recall both she and her husband were hit with some health issues ( as you mentioned). She was interesting and fun on the blogs. I love hearing from collectors and shoppers.
Regarding the Covid vax, I’m hearing it will be like the flu shot where they just best guess the strains.
Hope all is well in Oodie.
Hiked late because of the heat and humidity (left over from another Hurricane Jova apparently).
On the way out a Bobcat crossed my path, it was way up the path but the one I needed to leave, so I waited and it decided to sit down, and watch me. OK then i took another path, which was nearby and kept looking back and the cat was still watching, so I started to run out. The Coyotes were barking away too. Weird night. Hubs says that they aren’t usually dangerous. Lesson learned, now I know I can run more haha.
To answer your question, I don’t listen to music. Back in the day I always was plugged in and loved music, the louder the better. Techno and all. Since I’m hiking more places I need to hear what is going on around me. Plus, didn’t want to damage my hearing.
Have a great evening! -
Good day in the ‘burgh. 😎😘🌹Oz is having some light rain as I type. Very dark outside
and that is fine with me.Wishing you a great new week. I just remembered when do your sister leave to go back
to California? I hate to see her go what an angel. 🌹😘Hey the tennis games were amazing nothing was dull about that game.
I am sending cool vibes to you and Jake’s Canvas. 😘 Keep well my friend.
-
Good afternoon to you. I agree, the tennis match was good, I was hoping it would go a little longer just like the crowd.🎾 The women’s final was super!
Sis leaves on Wednesday so I will be a busy bee for six weeks.🐝 I know mom will be bored without someone there 24/7. Also puts a lot of stress on me because I worry that she is okay. She won’t move so have to do what I can.☹ Mom Fridays, here we come!
Another car appointment Thursday, mom on Friday, so trying to get all my errands done now. Only have two arms and two legs.😮 I think my bartender will be busy!!🍷 Hang in there with me – sending hugs to you, Poppy and black kitty.🤗💖
-
I totally understand I have many siblings who help our mother the only thing she does
not do is drive she can if she wants to but we prefer to help her I can’t wait to see her.Hey the channels our back my cable provider was down for the count on certain channels.
Somber day today being 911. We will remember.

Finding Joy in Meaningless Tasks
Finding joy and reason in mundane tasks can shift the flow, and make it not so bad afterall.
Spending an afternoon working on the car, gardening, or even cleaning the house can be fun when we have an interest in the project. Yet, we can also find joy in the chores and tasks we don’t especially like. All we need is a change of attitude, a different approach, a little music, or some help from friends, and the tasks or responsibilities that we perceive as tedious can become a source of pleasure.
Most of us tend to put off what it is that we don’t want to do. Yet, one of the best approaches to an unpleasant task or dull chore is to dive right in and be fully mindful of what it is that you are doing. You may not perceive washing the kitchen floor as enjoyable, but it can be if you view it as a loving act for both yourself and your family. Lose yourself in paying your bills, and thank the universe that you are able to receive the service you are writing that check for. Mending can become a treasure hunt to find the right button and matching thread. And, each morning, see how neatly you can make your bed and take pride in your results.
Playing your favorite music, dancing while you work, or creating a mental list of everything you are grateful for are just a few ways to turn an unexciting activity into a fun event. Ask a friend to help you clean out the basement or paint a room; provide some yummy snacks as an incentive. Look for joy in doing your mundane activities, and they’ll become a source of enjoyment rather than a tolerable duty. AMEN! 😘🌹

Good afternoon in sunny Florida. ✨😎🌹I was up with the black cat making sure he eats
last night. I love that cat but he will not come in the house nor will he let me touch him.The possums come every night it’s the racoons that I am not too fond of as they are greedy.
Xango I remember very well your husband’s surgery and I know it was concerning for you.
So glad you had extra hands to help you through that time. ✨So nice he does not have to get into heavy traffic every day.
Hubby and I did go bike riding yesterday the breeze felt really good. My husband is a show
off on the bike he can do all kinds of tricks not me I keep my hands on the bar. 😎Oz has nice temps today and I am a happy camper. Xango everything is high all over.
I mean some food prices is just too much. I hear gas is going up again. Covid is on the rise
in certain States well tell me about it. I keep wearing my mask and I never stopped. You and hubby enjoy some of that good food you make. 💕😘

-
Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida. ✨😎Oodie I am glad to hear of your
husband getting better and I hope it continues. I know he misses home I sure would.Glad you are having meals together that is a good thing and something he can look
forward to. 💕🌹I know your home will be together by the time he is home. I hope you are getting
some rest as well. Oodie when my dad got sick he just stop talking he had a good
appetite but few words. I had to ask him a direct question before he would talk.
I miss him every day. 💕🌹
I am in a Fall State Of Mind. 😎😘
-
It’s after 3 am. Actually, almost 4 am. I have a right hand that has tons of pain and so I have been driving with one hand for the past few days. I have no idea what happened, just awoke that way. The hand is swollen and hubby noticed it and was concerned how I would get home driving with one hand. I mentioned that he had a phone that was sitting above the light over his bed and to ask either a nurse or an aide to set it up for him so he could call me. Instead, I had a call from the rehab just a few minutes ago stating that my hubby had gotten out of bed on his own and crawled to the hallway. He needed to find a way to get home to see if I was all right. Cute, but at the same time he pulled the catheter out and they had to insert a new one. And yes, there is some bleeding. Not the first time this happened. Anyway, I explained to the nurse the reason why he left his room and to let him know that I am fine and will see him in the afternoon. If he is still concerned to have him call.
Today, I stopped at Costco and picked up a rotisserie chicken and shrimp plus a couple of books. I really needed water, but will return sometime this week for it and have someone put it into the carriage and then into the van. Hubby is doing better. When I arrived yesterday he was blocking the door so I had to ask him to move. He did so by using both legs and then I asked what he was trying to do. He said he was worried about me and wanted to go outside to take the bus. Well, there is a bus stop in front of the rehab, but I asked how he would take the bus without cash. He thought he could get a free ride home and would pay the driver when he got there. His wallet is home. Guess I need to really start working on the house.
Guess I will try to get some shut eye, though I am wide awake. Maybe starting a jigsaw will help using the Android. Our weather has turned to be very hot and humid and my A/C is still not working. Hopefully, the techs will try again sometime this week. It’s getting to the point where I may just contact someone else. I will keep you posted.
-
Good morning in S. California here is to a nice Sunday.
I hope your son is getting better every day have him keep testing.
Hey Heidi Daus will be here on September 12th I have posted the dates near the
top of this page and I have added new items to the Heidi Daus Thread. 🌹😎
Happy Trails To You. 🎶🎶😘
-
Sheba, thanks for the well wishes for my son. I think he’s back to normal and may test for a few more days. He is good about that type of thing and being responsible. I have a black and blue mark from my flu shot. No biggie.
Yay to Ms. Heidi being back. This place needs her fresh energy and awesome jewelry.
Her Halloween jewelry is so fun. Darn I will miss it this year.
Hiked myself today for about an hour 1/2 route. I loved it. Can’t really stop as it’s a circle of sorts.
Nice Ocean breezes in view at parts. -
Good afternoon in the ‘burgh. Hubby and I went bike riding yesterday and it felt so good.
The temps were just right and they are alright today. 😎Enjoy your day with the family I would not do too much of anything. I am going to make
a salad and some pasta and call it a day.
Sending Fall Vibes to you and Jake’s Canvas. 😘🌹💕
-
Happy Sunday to you. Our temps are perfect, no a/c, no fans, no furnace. That’s called a conserve energy day.😂
We are definitely on the same wavelength for dinner. Yesterday I made garlic buttered shrimp over spaghetti noodles.🍤 Told my husband this morning that we will have the leftovers with a nice salad.🥗 I want to watch the US Open men’s final and not cooking the whole time. What a match yesterday – congrats to Coco Gauff!👍✨🏆
Have a nice day walking, biking or relaxing.🚶♀️🚴♀️ Sending hugs to you, Poppy and the black cat.🤗💖

-
Good Morning in sunny Florida. 😎✨🌹How are you doing today?
OZ is very nice at the moment. Poppy and I had a nice walk around the way.Hubby is doing yard stuff and it is not too hot and humid. WE may go bike riding
I will see how the day goes. We have errands to run and you never know what
you will find along the way. ✨Trivia was fun last night I am sad it is winding down. I do enjoy the crowd Oodiebom
who have played for years like me. A lot of interesting people play Trivia and like
some will say they don’t post often in the Community. I have said this before when
HSN had the private message in the community many would write and tell me they
like my thread but they don’t post they just enjoy the pics and reading the thread
every day. ✨Xango there was a time in the past many people had threads and they were pretty good.
I don’t know what happened to change things but something did as for me I just kept
going. I have to say once Covid-19 came and of course my BC that was a game changer.Moving forward I am looking forward to the new Arcade. 🌹😎
I hope you and your husband have a nice Saturday. I am sending a big hello to
Brazil and may your family still be having a good time celebrating. ✨
-
@Sheba 🌻🌻🌻🍂🍂🍂
Good Saturday to you and your husband Sheba.
It’s a very hot day although temperatures are at 86, humidity is close to 60 percent.
Last night I saw the baby Opossum, haven’t seen the adult lately.A little over a year ago hubby had his triple bypass. While recovering at home he had an interview over the phone for a new position within the VA which he accepted. Eventually that position allowed him to work rotating a week at home and a week in his office and so on.
Not long ago he had another interview for another position within the VA and was offered that one. I believe this new position will allow him the work more days at home. Going to the office only one or two days a month, but I am not sure as of yet.Our community Facebook has another house for sell here in the community. People move in and people move out. The homeowners association dues are extremely high. The water is very high also, for this part of Polk County.
Florida has become outrageously high, that goes for housing, food, and homeowners insurance is through the roof. In some areas people can’t find a company to cover their homes. Many are moving out of Florida, going North to the Carolinas and Tennessee.Hubby and I don’t like snow and the cold anymore. So we will stay put in Florida, hopefully it will get better.
Here’s wishing you, your hubby and Poppy a wonderful weekend 🚴♀️🚴♂️ have a bike ride for me who don’t ride Sheba😀 .
Take Care 🌹 -
Xango, very interesting about Florida. It used to be known as a State to retire to since there is no State tax and had affordable housing. Didn’t a lot of New Yorkers move there during Covid and competed for housing, causing huge price increases? Have you heard of the villages? We have heard it is a huge place and costs are more affordable. However, I won’t be retiring to FL.
Have a great weekend! -
Good morning on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 😎✨🌹I hope you are getting some sleep.
Glad to hear that your husband had a good day yesterday. Oodie Trivia was fun last night
you had a good crowd. Many are open to keep meeting on Friday Nights. I want to see
what the new Arcade will look like.I hope you get all your shopping and errands done. Hubby and I will be in the wind
later today. 😎✨Oodie is your A/C fixed yet? We will turn the A/C off here in OZ by the end of the month.
The bill is super high due to the hot temps. I have to say the bill was worth it. ✨ In this
world you have to give for what you get.
Take it easy today. 😎✨

I agree that Trivia was fun, especially when everyone could join with me in the enthusiasm I felt when hubby was able to sit up in bed and dangle his feet over the edge and dress himself for the first time in months. And Saturday he used the bathroom facilities and it wasn’t for washing his hands. Above all, his appetite is coming back. I made a stop at Culvers rather than Costco. I picked up a fish sandwich for myself and a Reuben for hubby. Added FF and coleslaw and two hot fudge frozen custards. I splurged. Diet gone amiss for one day of celebration. So much to celebrate and hubby remembered the day prior. Short term memory coming back???? I don’t know. I will take it and be happy for the one day of excitement and will remember that day when others don’t come together quite right.
I am also looking forward to the new Arcade. Along with others who have responded and those who haven’t, I would love to see Trivia continue on Friday nights. I also remember the years that I read the posts in Community but was too shy to respond. I also felt that it may have been something that could go as spam. I think what happened is that I and about 20+ had an opportunity to join HSN behind the scenes and at the end to post a Hi and who I am in a note to Community. Found it was a delight to see people respond and the rest is history. Though we are incognito we have formed friendships across the board. It was so touching to see that my experiences are helping others through traumatic days and times. Hubby is the one who described his dementia like a fog you see over water or when you awake in the morning and cannot see the house next door or across the street. This fog kept him from seeing the sun. It was like a dark cloud that hung over his eyes. Well, that cloud is starting to lift. Not sure if he will ever attain the normalcy he once had, but I will forever be thankful for the days that aren’t so good that he can move around and speak and maybe know who I am. Yes, there have been days when I am there that he is looking for his wife, his bf and I am there, but he sees someone else. I have shed many tears at home over this and then I realize it’s the fog he so described.
And TACI, I agree with you on Florida. Hubby and I got tired shoveling snow. We got tired that our steps to the house and the walk to our vehicles became an ice skating rink because our home faces North. Hubby did not like the cold temps that also went minus something during the winter. I, on the other hand, loved watching the snow fall from my den window. I could sit there for hours. It was so peaceful. Then one day hubby wanted to go South for a few weeks. Back then we used the I-95 corridor and being that we both had retired we could come and go as we pleased and stay as long as we wanted. Well, that first visit to Florida was not warm by any means. We froze. Temps were no warmer than back North and so we cut our visit short that year. Then we had friends that spent the winters in Fl., and so we returned. I loved it. We decided to look around and found something we could afford, thus we are here during the winter and return North in the spring. Well, at least that’s the way it was until the pandemic hit us in 2020 while on a cruise. The rest is history.

Last night was a miracle. When I first arrived at Rehab, hubby was in a wheelchair and said he had not eaten since the food was horrible. I was getting ready to go out to get him something to eat when dinner arrived. He had some kind of soup that was lukewarm, but he liked it (I surmise he was famished). He had what I called a tablespoon of chicken salad on a bun that had not been toasted or heated and a skinny piece of cantaloupe for dessert. He saw what I was eating which was a tuna salad on a croissant from the Farmer’s Market. He ate my other half and insisted I buy him one next time. The tuna was just like the one I make, but minus the relish I add. He then tried the salsa which was hot hot hot. I forewarned him, but he insisted. Later he complained that he was in tons of pain. Not liking what I was hearing I pressed the button for the nurses. No one answered t he call, so I went down the hallway looking for anyone. Finally saw the RN and explained the situation. She put me at ease when she saw t he problem and explained it to me. Said she would be back. Meanwhile Trivia had started and then I left for a few minutes. When I returned a miracle happened. And now you know everything. Hubby was able to get himself into a sitting position and dress himself. It has been months since he tried. I had only a painful use of my right hand and wonder if that had anything to do with that miracle. I surmise he wanted to take the wheel of the van and drive me home. All I can say at this point is that would have been nice. Driving home with one hand was not as easy as I thought it would be even with power steering. TACi, you were right. Aspirin took awhile, but it finally helped. Still a bit of a twinge as I use the keyboard, but nothing like last night.
Now for a shower and on to Costco for just a few items. Hubby wants a hotdog and I will get the chicken on romaine. I was on the phone over an hour with the next door neighbor. Really two hours behind by original schedule.
-
Oodie, hope things for hubby are on track and he can get home.
Glad your hand is doing better. -
Good morning in S. California. Taci it was nice to see you in Trivia. 😎✨🌹
I do love the Marla Wynne Skirt I posted the other day. I have tops by Marla
that can go with it. I also wear my Heidi Daus pieces. Yes I get the looks and they
always love what I wear. I think my height and heels play a part in the look. LOL!Taci unreal what you had to go through returning an item. I don’t give up certain I.D.
just to return something I am sure it may have something to do with all the smash
and grab lately all over the place. Shizzle!I hope this is a fun day for you. I think your son needs to rest and a little TLC and he
will be right as rain. ✨
Happy Trails To You. 🎶🎶
-
Sheba, The skirt-pant is an elegant piece. You are right, your height helps. I couldn’t wear it and that’s ok. I would look overwhelmed. When I worked and wore suits to clients, before everything went in-house and business casual, had to be careful about the fit. The skirts were slightly above the knee and more fitted. Remember the store Petite Sophisticate? I loved getting my suits there back in the day and of course Macy’s.
My son is feeling ok but not too talkative about it. He brings home Covid tests every day and checks just in case.
Hiked today (with hubs) late and it cooled off but was still humid. Our weather has been hot, and the air quality has been fair and poor. Hopefully Fall will change all that around.
Have a great weekend. Did you get the bike ride with hubs? -
Good morning in the beautiful ‘burgh. ✨🌹How is your mom and sis doing after their
Cruise?Wishing you a nice weekend. Hubby and I will be out and about.
The temps are not bad at the moment in OZ. 😎🌹

Sending Fall Vibes to you and Jake’s Canvas. 😘✨🌹

Self-Care = Self-Love
Caring for yourself generates a positive, rejuvenating energy of self-love that you can take into the world.
Our true nature is to love ourselves, yet we forget. Like a muscle, it needs to be flexed and strengthened, and one of the most direct ways to do this is through acts of self-care.
When we tune into our body, mind, heart, and soul, we become fully present within ourselves — and to our needs. In other words, self-care is a catalyst for self-awareness, self-respect, and self-love.
But self-care can be hard to practice. It often seems much easier to think about other people’s needs before our own, to prioritize caring for our friends, family, spouse, children, pets — or even our possessions like a house or car— above our own care. Why is that?
The joy of making someone else happy is immensely rewarding. Taking care of our belongings can give us satisfaction. What we might not always remember is that self-care is not an indulgence but a necessity — how can we be there for those we love if we’re not taking care of ourselves?
If you’ve been feeling a little wobbly with self-care, try this simple practice: Take a moment to sit quietly and ask yourself: What’s one easy thing I can do now that would feel good? Maybe it’s staying seated and enjoying a moment of silence. Maybe it’s getting up and going for a stroll outside. Maybe it’s sipping a comforting cup of tea. Whatever it is, do it with your full acceptance and presence.
Think of self-care as an invitation to be kind to yourself and then take that positive, rejuvenating energy forward with you into your interactions and experiences. Start small and go from there, with little daily acts of self-love that will nourish your soul. AMEN! ✨🌹

Good afternoon in sunny Florida. ✨😎Oz is a bit cloudy today but alright.
Here is to a nice Friday. I am about to work on a project just me that I have put off

-
@Sheba 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Good afternoon Sheba 😊 Here’s wishing you success on your project.
I had forgotten that today is Friday, was reading your post and realized to myself. Perhaps I need another cup of coffee 😆.Getting catfish and making vegetables for dinner tonight 😋. I have a little of broccoli, green beans, snow peas, carrots and sweet potatoes. They way hubby will have left overs for lunch tomorrow.
Wishing you, your hubby and Poppy a beautiful cool weekend.
Take care Sheba 🌹 -
I will be over soon to have a meal with you. I can smell the fresh bread. 😎✨
-
Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Oodie I did read both your posts from I think
this morning. I am having problems with the recaptcha.I hope all your projects work out alright good to hear that your husband is improving. YAY!

-
Good morning in California the recaptcha is giving me a headache today. So hard to post.
I am going to wish you happy and safe trails today. 🎶🎶
I hope your son gets some rest this weekend and feels better. ✨

Sheba, Hello! I looked at the Marla W. Skirt and I think you will look fab in it. At 1st, I thought you posted shirt (not skirt) and was wondering how it would look like pants. That Skirt is awesome and very multi-functional.
Today I ran an errand (not TJ MAX will explain) and ended up at my Health care provider who was giving out the flu shots, so yup Just got mine. I didn’t see anything for Covid but I think a lot of people around here plan to skip it. The Nurses said they are hearing about people who have both Covid and Flu simultaneously.
OK, Last time I was at TJ Max, I returned items purchased the day before and returned them within 24 hours well within their return period. Anyways, the items didn’t work out for what I needed. The SA asked for my Drivers Lic. and I declined, she said it was the only way they would refund me as I they wanted to track if I returned too much. I told her to keep it and haven’t been back since. No need. That was my 1st time returning anything to them in years. I won’t be back anytime soon if ever. -
Very smart of you not to give out your DL the only time that may be required is
if it is cash and sometimes not. I have never heard of this one. Taci so much is
going on in the world people are smashing and grabbing and it’s insane.I hope you see this post as the recaptcha has been acting up all day.
-
Good day in the ‘burgh. The recaptcha is a problem today. sigh..

A little cooler and less humid today, I have windows and doors open. Next week should be very comfortable. Hope you are getting the same. Having my car serviced today and they just called so hubs and I need to run over and pick it up.🚗 Another car appt. next week – nothing’s easy.
Glad your hand is better, be careful!! Sometimes those burns take forever to heal. Sending hugs and love to you and Poppy.🤗💖 Now let’s see how long it will take me to send this to you, yikes!😣

Good afternoon in sunny Florida. Thank you for the advice on my hand I do have Aloe vera
I keep it for any emergency. My hand is much better this morning. I was taking a pot out of the
Oven and as I lifted the pot up I accidently burned the back of hand. This was small but
I felt it. All good now. 😎🌹So sorry to hear about your cousin’s son. I wish him a speedy recover and these things do
take time. What concerns me is she has company and I hope they understand. Hey family
is family please let me know how he does. My heart goes out to her about the cat. ✨Your meal sounds very good with Fall coming I tend to bake and cook more. I will be sure
to wear my kitchen mittens I have several. I think it is time to switch to fall colors for the
kitchen. 😎
-
@Sheba 🌻🌻🌻🌻
Hi, so glad your hand wasn’t burn much, and that is better now.
As for me, I’m a pro at burning myself in the kitchen 😀.
Almost every time I bake something, or cook in large pots. It could be as little as just leaning against or touching the side of a hot pot, or actually touch some parts of the oven. That’s why I have plenty Oleo Vera, both inside and outside of the house. It’s such a miracle plant, I also use for cuts and scraps even sores in the mouth is good for.
I will let you know how my cousin’s son is doing, pulling information out of him is like pulling teeth 😬.
Today it’s a holiday in Brazil, it’s their Independence Day.
The whole family is getting together to celebrate not only the holiday but also the cousin visiting from Portugal. They are having a huge barbecue, lots of food, music and laughter oh how I wish I could be there.Sheba that’s a lovely confy bed, I too have a king size bed. We first got a king size bed back in 1985 before getting married 😀. A bed room set and a car. It was a Scandinavian Teak wood platform bed. Then when we moved from Virginia to Florida we purchased our first single family home in 1989, that’s when interest rates were 7.5 for mortgages. We could only afford a 1,473 sqft. house build from the ground and I was able to select the flooring, kitchen, baths etc. Because we had a king bed the headboard would go from window to window left side and right side 😆 covering part of the windows. We retained that house until 2017, we had it as a rental property after 1993 when we moved to Orlando. Our plan was to rent an apartment for the three years hubby had duty in Orlando. But rent was extremely high for apartments, that we ended up buying a Spec house. Since it was already built I wasn’t able to pick the colors, kitchen and so on. But I made up for that, we built a house in Orlando in 1999 and decided to stay as I worked in SunTrust Bank and hubby commuting from Jacksonville when his ship came back to port.
I like Autumn 🍂, it’s a beautiful time of year. Kind of like what spring does after a harsh Winter. Autumn 🍂 gives a break from the heat to enjoy the outdoors. I miss Autumn, here in Florida where I live we don’t get to have it. Today the temperature is 94, the evenings in the mid seventies.Take Care Sheba 🌹
-
I can’t remember not having a pet or kid in the bed with me and hubby. LOL!
Our two youngest was always in our bed with their cats and of course I had Sheba. On cold snowy mornings there was no school the kids would grab the animals and when
I woke I had three cats and Sheba and two kids in our king size bed. We would then watch
classic Disney Movies all day on the snow day and weekends Our son did not want to get
in bed with his sisters so he would sit in the chair which was fine. Those were the good
ole days. How I miss them and the animals when hubby came home from trips and work
the kids always went back to their own rooms. The kids will come and lay in our bed
and watch movies with us when they come home and they still have their Queen Size Bed.I hope your family is having a great time in Brazil I bet it is a good party. 😎💕

Viva Brazil. ✨✨
-
Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 😎✨Thank you for the advice on my hand.
The Aloe worked very well. I do keep vaseline on hand as well. My hand is fine now.Oodie I read your post from last night and they put your husband on Lasix which is a ‘
diuretic which means he will have to go the a lot. Oodie that was not your fault it takes
more than a bag of chips to be put on this kind of medicine. My father had high blood pressure and let me tell you it was not fun. I hope he handles
this medicine well.Oodie did Terminix come early? I know you will off and running soon.
Let me know how your husband is doing today. Stay cool as you can. 😎✨ OZ is alright
today.
-
Terminix was here before 9am. We discussed the possibility of gassing the inside of the house including the lanai and our shed. It will be over a four day and 3 night period. It’s something I really did not want to do but it is a quick way out and they have people that could help me move furniture around etc.. I also need to get all the rooms wheelchair accessible. I am hoping that in the very near future he will get his knee replacement. That will certainly get him to stand upright and to walk. One step at a time. That is what I am trying to do.
Hubby had trouble breathing last night. He was very congested and I do have a nose spray that is saline solution that I use for my sinuses. It works. The nurse last night reminded me of a nurse friend that we met while in the Lion’s club. She was an amazing person. This nurse had the same hair cut, looked a bit like her and had a personality to make you laugh. My friend passed away abou t 4 or 5 years ago from a bleed in some scar tissue that could not be stopped. She was an Army nurse as well and is buried in Arlington. She was a joy to be around and I miss her terribly. Last night was very special and she had my hubby smiling and laughing. It was a special evening for both of us.
I decided not to go to Lowes. The microwave I was interested in is no longer on sale. I will wait until next week to see if it returns to a sale price again. Lowes has a way of taking appliances off and then putting them on again either at a lower price or a higher one. Thank goodness I wrote down the item/model number and the sale price.
The Lasik seems to be working. I was told last night that it is common with pneumonia especially when the patient isn’t walking and is confined to bed. Hopefully, he will be back in the wheelchair or sitting in my chair when I arrive. It will also be easier for him to eat his meals that way as well.
I checked his former room. Nothing has been started as yet, but I understand it will be happening very soon.
I am watching Hurricane Lee. Doesn’t look like it will come up the Gulf coast, but could do havoc to the East with the wind, though that can change. I hope your Stepmom is watching this storm. As of just a few minutes ago, it will go up the East Coast and could take a swipe at New England. I will surely hit the Cape. Our home there is about 2 1/2 miles from the ocean and
6 1/2 miles from the bay side. I could wind up flying into Boston or Providence following the storm and renting a car to check on the two homes. But that is neither here or there at this time.Glad your hand is feeling better and you are able to use it once again. I will now hit the shower and go see hubby. It’s back to summer here with high temps and humidity.
-
Well, it looks like I will need to be an early bird tomorrow morning. Terminix will be back and this time with another person. I need to be up anyway. It’s garbage and recycle day. A day later because of Labor Day. Gosh, it feels like Labor Day was weeks ago instead of 4 days out.
Hubby was asleep when I arrived, or, faking it. His dinner was on his tray and it smelled heavenly. He didn’t want it, so I proceeded to eat mine. I couldn’t get him interested. Then around 7:30 pm, the nurse happened to come in to take his blood pressure and I mentioned he was asleep. NO, she said, his eyes were opened. She then raised the bed to a sitting position and fed him dinner. He ate everything. Guess I will need to do that tomorrow. After eating he enjoyed watching Public TV. First time in ages that he actually watched a program. He also asked about the new hurricane, Lee. I told him that it could head for our homes in the Northeast and also mentioned that it may be necessary for me to fly out to assess any damage. He said he didn’t want me to return, but, we will wait and see. It’s still too early to make any decisions. I will admit that this storm is scary and has my attention. Praying it will be away from the coast.
I will be going to Costco. Hubby wants their chicken. Says he has a yen. I need other things as well. And, yes, will fill the tank of the van as well. Gas here has gone from $3.79 down to $3.65/gal. It goes up or down on Thursdays.
Guess I better get some shuteye. Hope you three have a great evening. Tomorrow is Trivia and I will get everyone ready before leaving. It was quite warm tonight, but the humidity was down a bit from this afternoon.
-
I hope you do get them to do it the right way and you could use the help.
Oodie would you have to stay in the house or go to a hotel for the duration? Our daughter had a great time in Boston and I guess P-Town near Cape Cod.
So much to see and do. Oodie what an interesting life you have had in the North. ✨✨I am glad your husband is improving god bless him. Wise of them to get the meds in
him quickly and hope they all work effectively. I would like to see him walk what a great
day that would be for you and we are cheering and praying for that day.Rest Oodie and I am glad you are remembering your friend. 💕🌹

-
I know you are in bed and sound asleep. I just happened to pop in. I will need to go to a hotel for the duration. I just hope that they do this during the week when the rates are less and it is easier to find a room. I will treat this as a mini awaycation. Before this happens, though, I need to know where the critters are coming from. The lanai area is done as far as tightening everything up. The holes near the house are gone and fully taken care of. I have a funny feeling that it is coming from the air conditioner area. The tech must have opened the crawl space under the house and neglected to put the chicken wire back. These guys will need to check that area. This is not the first time that the technician left everything opened. He knows better. So far the A/C is still not working and I suspect there is water in that area.
By the way, I love your bed. We have a Queen metal bed that hubby put together incorrectly. The directions were OK. The nails that came with the frame were not the right ones. The entire frame will need to come a part before hubby returns home. I will use just the mattress and store the box spring. This way, if hubby falls again, he will have 14″ instead of 21″. I am looking at air mattresses to go between the bed and the dresser. And, when not in use, under the bed. Hopefully, it will be a very soft landing and this way he can continue sleeping on that instead of the floor.
I do use linens and also quilts. Our quilts are light weight, but still take up some room in our washer. I usually do one at a time and before bringing them to the laundry room< I do a spot check while they are on the bed and spritz. I will be using three quilts. One tan/beige for sand and tIwo blue for the different colors of the ocean. It will be fun putting the bedroom together.
-
Good morning in S. California and may this be a great day for a hike. ✨😎
I have to say Oz is pretty nice today. Poppy had no issues walking I enjoy the
walk when humidity is low. ✨Taci I hope your son feels better soon. I still mask up when I am out in the general public.
My hand is so much better today I just have to careful how I take things out of the Oven.Taci I am going to show you what I have and like on my bed. We don’t have the king size
bed because of size it was because we had four kids and when hubby left for work everyone
would pile into the bed with me. 😘🌹 Hey even now when the kids come home they still
like to sleep with me plus we had cats all the animals would sleep with me. ✨When the time comes and we downsize it will be to a Queen Size Bed. ✨ I must have throw pillows that match
the comforter and shams. The other bedrooms have queen size beds.
I am the Linen Queen. 🌹😘Happy Trails To You. 🎶🎶
-
Sheba, A King is a great family bed! My son still managed to snuggle in quite often back in the day. Your bedroom looks lovely and calming! Lots of pillows too. My new favorites are the 2 Shams that match the comforter. The comforter is upstairs waiting for cooler weather.
Hubs went on today’s hike, probably because I told him a snake was out. Snakes and Coyotes will bring him out. It was fun and no critters other than birds and bunnies.Have a cool evening. Are you planning to watch Marla W. ? I recall you like her clothing.
Glad your hand is feeling better. Burns are not fun. I think most home cooks have burn marks from the years cooking, ha, so I hear. -
Good evening you are so right about Marla Wynne I have many pieces and I love her
clothes. I am checking out the pants that look like a skirt I love that look. 😎✨I would like to thank HSN for shipping all my Korres Stash with Free Shipping.
I got some really good lotions and potions from the Korres sale last week.
I am about to take them all up in my bathroom which has Perlier and Korres
it looks like a Spa and I love it. 💕🌹I buy extras to put in the kids bathrooms so they use Korres/Perlier as well.
I do miss all our kids and the fun we had on cold winter nights here in OZ.
WE always watched a good Disney Classic Movie. The girls always get in bed
when they come home to visit and Poppy is right there. LOL! ✨🌹 Our son
feels he is older now and sits in the chair or chaise lounge we have have in
our Master Bedroom. I do have a Smart TV and the whole family just have a good
time.Taci glad your husband went with you on the hike I do not like snakes. I respect them
as long as they keep it moving. ✨Here is to a nice evening in California.

-
Good afternoon in the ‘burgh. I hope today is cooler for you.
I would not do a thing today. My hand is better. ✨😎Oz is cooling off a bit and I am so thankful.
Yeah Game Night hubby will watch I only want to watch when things get really going.
Wishing you a nice day and blowing a cool breeze to you and Jake’s Canvas. ✨😘🌹

Grateful
There is always something to be grateful for, even when life is hard and times are tough.
Everyday is a blessing, and in each moment there are many things that we can be grateful for. The world opens up to us when we live in a space of gratitude. In essence, gratitude has a snowball effect. When we are appreciative and express that gratitude, the universe glows a bit brighter and showers us with even more blessings.
There is always something to be grateful for, even when life seems hard. When times are tough, whether we are having a bad day or stuck in what may feel like an endless rut, it can be difficult to take the time to feel grateful. Yet, that is when gratitude can be most important. If we can look at our lives, during periods of challenge, and find something to be grateful for, then we can transform our realities in an instant. There are blessings to be found everywhere. When we are focusing on what is negative, our abundance can be easy to miss. Instead, choosing to find what already exists in our lives that we can appreciate can change what we see in our world. We start to notice one blessing, and then another.
When we constantly choose to be grateful, we notice that every breath is a miracle and each smile becomes a gift. We begin to understand that difficulties are also invaluable lessons. The sun is always shining for us when we are grateful, even if it is hidden behind clouds on a rainy day. A simple sandwich becomes a feast, and a trinket is transformed into a treasure. Living in a state of gratitude allows us to spread our abundance because that is the energy that we emanate from our beings. Because the world reflects back to us what we embody, the additional blessings that inevitably flow our way give us even more to be grateful for. The universe wants to shower us with blessings. The more we appreciate life, the more life appreciates and bestows us with more goodness. AMEN! ✨🌹

Good morning in sunny Florida. ✨😎🌹How are things going for you and do you have
more appointments coming up this week?I hope no more storms for a while there in Florida. What’s for dinner? I love how you
go to your fridge and unfreeze your meals. I do that sometimes.I am very sorry about the Cat going to rainbow bridge. I am currently feeding four cats.
Charlie’s parents came by this morning walking their huge dogs and we had a really nice
chat and all miss Charlie the Cat. 💕 Oz is alright today we have the sun and the temps
are not as hot as last week and all summer.

@Sheba🌻🌻🌻
Good afternoon Sheba 😊
It’s a hot day here with a tiny breeze. We are still in the 90’s.Like everything it’s going to take a while for my cousin to get over her cat. However she has her hands extremely full right now. Her one and only son whom she had at an early age had a depression/anxiety attack. He is 46 years old was in the hospital for about 10 days then released stayed in his apartment a few days which is in another state. Then came home to my cousin to be taken care of, all he does is eat and sleep. He is on medication, at one point he is all over the place, at another he just collapses. He doesn’t want to talk about his illness and is hush-hush about it.
On top of that, my other cousin who lives in Portugal is there visiting.Making chicken stock, I’m on my third stock pot. Earlier I made lentils with Italian sausage. Using two small diced carrots, one large celery, onions and garlic and chicken stock. Also made black beans, and a pot of rice. Most likely will freeze a little of each, not the rice though. And of course the chicken stock will be frozen.
Take care Sheba 🌹

I would like to respond to your post. I had a slight accident I was taking a heavy pot out of
the oven and burned my hand so far so good but it does hurt a bit.I will write tomorrow I need to put something on it. ✨✨

@SHEBA
Oh, I so sorry, Sheba cut a Ole Vera in have and wrap it on your hand with what ever you have. Keep it on your hand as long as you can. -

Try Aloe on your hand. If you have the plant in your home, just cut a small stem or half a stem and then open it up. It has a great deal of soothing properties. If you do not have this plant , then try vaseline on it and keep it covered.
Today the temp was in the 90s, but even though the humidity was 85%, it felt like the beginning of fall. However, when I left Hubby at 10:45 pm, the heat and humidity struck me as I opened the door to the outside. The room hubby is in is better than his room at the rehab. There is A/C but it does not throw the cold air on his head or makes me want to go out to the car for a sweater and blanket/quilt) He is eating OK. I did purchase some fruit at the market, but took it home to keep it refrigerat ed. I will bring it tomorrow.
He is now on Lasik. I think it is my fault. Yesterday he had tortilla chips that was loaded with salt. I took a few bites and then stopped. Hubby kept on eating and his hand was still in the bag when I left. I let the nurse’s know that I may be the culprit. The bag is still in the room, but he cannot get to it unless he is able to get out of bed on his own and go to the other side of the room. The meds are working and though he felt congested, he said he was better. I sure hope so.
I still have not made it to Lowes. I will definitely try tomorrow. But first I will check to see what is on sale. I have an LG and would like to stay with this brand.
I think I will play a few games in the A rcade to relieve the anziety and then will get some sleep.
Terminix is expected tomorrow (Thursday) and I hope they show early.Watching the tropics. Lee is now a hurricane. Models have it going away from land, but will still cause rip currents all the way up the East Coast. It still bears watching along with another one using the Letter J.

Good morning in S. California I hope the air is better today. I like to change the linens on
our S&F King size bed. Taci it is not easy because everything is heavy but once done looks
beautiful on the bed. ✨🌹Getting the house ready for Fall and it is right around the corner.
Hey curl up with a good book and Happy Trails. 🎶🎶
I hope your son is feeling better todya. ✨

Sheba, A King sized bed is huge for us, we aren’t tall and a Queen is perfect. I like things easy so maybe that’s why i am on the fence about the comforter. I want to lift, and wash it easily. Washed it before putting it on my bed and it barely fit in the washer and dryer. My hubs has a friend with a CA King and it is huge. He is very tall, his wife is average and he wanted to be comfortable. What type of Linen do you love?
My son is working but still a bit sick.
Despite the fair air quality which isn’t great and it is still warmer than i would like, I did hike. A rattler was crossing the path at one point. I just backed up, the snake crossed, and then I moved forward. Yikes huh?
Sorry about your hand. Hope it feels better soon. -
Good day in the beautiful ‘burgh. I hope you are on your deck enjoying a nice drink with
a good book. 😎🌹Glad to hear your mother and sister had a good time on their Cruise.
I hope it is cooler today for you if not so glad your A/C is working. 💕😘
Hey sending cool vibes to you and Jake’s Canvas. 😘😎

Still quite warm today, should be in the 80’s tomorrow and 70’s by the weekend. After these few days, I will probably be wearing sweaters and sweats all weekend.🙍♀️
Wanted to give you a shout out for your team tomorrow.🏈📣👍 Super Bowl champs kicking off the season. I know you will be watching – here’s to a win!✨
Early start tomorrow running around all day. Hope Oz cools off for the game. Been watching the US Open players soaking their outfits.🔥🎾 Here’s a cool one from me and Jake.🍹💖

Thanks for the Game Shout Out. I had a little accident taking a heavy pot out of the oven
and burned my hand. Just hurts a bit so I am putting neosporin on it so it does not get
infected. Here is to a good evening and keep cool.

Existing In Bodies
We inhabit bodies for a reason — experiencing all the range of feelings and emotions that come with being present in a body.
The physical self can seem like an encumbrance at times. We have little control over its demands, we must monitor it consistently, and its relative fragility can be discomfiting. Many people, therefore, unconsciously long to escape the confinement of their bodies, and this longing can manifest itself as physical discomfort, difficulty adjusting to the rigors of day-to-day existence, or a tendency to shy away from all that is associated with the human earthly experience. Yet the lifetime of physical existence we each must endure represents a vital plateau in our progression as enlightened beings. We inhabit our bodies for a reason. There is much we can learn while coping with the challenges, sensations, and sensitivities of the human body that we could not have grasped had we remained in spirit form. When we leave our physical selves behind to return to our original state, we will enjoy a supreme sense of freedom—yet we will always value the time we spent on earth.
Being wholly present in your body can help you better understand how your time as a physical being is contributing to your development. There may be times when you feel that your consciousness is not grounded in your corporeal form. Your thoughts may seem scattered or spacey, or you may sense that your ethereal self is literally floating away. When this occurs, ask Mother Earth to ground you, or draw upon the potent grounding energy of mountains or trees. These powerful natural forces can help you reconnect with the earth by reminding you that living in a physical state can be a wholesome and enlightening experience. Wearing gemstones with grounding properties, bloodstone, for example, is another way to reaffirm your connection to the earthly plane.
Human beings are tied to the earth, but not wholly of the earth. We are each of us, for the time being, poised between the soil underneath our feet and the never-ending ethereal spaces around us. The unease we occasionally feel in our earthly bodies is merely a by-product of our innate understanding of our dual natures. But the time we spend in our physical bodies will not last and should thus be cherished. For one day, when our evolution is complete, we will return to the source of life to become beings of light once more. AMEN! ✨✨
