Good afternoon in sunny Florida. How is the family in Brazil? Xango Trivia was
interesting last night I thought the way Oodiebom did her opening was really
interesting. 💕

Hey it’s the weekend I hope you have a good one. Hubby and I will do some running around
once the rain stops. Guess what? We were up early and looking at our security camara
we saw the Black Cat and put food out for him as he was eating a Coyote suddenly appeared
and the cat’s instincts kicked in and he took off. Xango you would not believe what happened
next the possum came and the coyote was still heading to our house. My husband grabbed
the pellet gun not the real one to scare the Coyote away from the critters.

I was always concerned we would get a Coyote and it’s not the first time. I do live near
a wooded area. I love my critters but I am not feeding a Coyote.

Good afternoon Sheba 😊
Woke up and went to the kitchen for my usual coffee and bread. Got a pleasant surprise from hubby. A vase filled with beautiful orchids flowers and Swiss chocolates. He also took off this coming week to celebrate our anniversary, 37 years where does the time go.
Hubby and I were talking about how we both paid for our wedding back then was pretty reasonable. Our reception was held in Old Town Alexandria, VA.
It was suppose to be a small gathering, but his side of the family was large. So we had about 70 plus people by the time we invited close friends and family. The hotel included a limousine from the church to the reception and a one day stay. Which was perfect, we left the next day to honeymoon in the Poconos. It rained for most of the time and the weather is chilly. Towards the end of the week I came down with a really bad cold. We came back home and I had to start a brand new job sick. But we had fun, took bubbles baths in heart shaped tub, slept in a round bed, ate good food 😋.

Rosh Hashanah is a two-day observance and celebration that begins on the first day of Tishrei, which is the seventh month of the ecclesiastical year. In contrast to the ecclesiastical lunar new year on the first day of the first month Nisan, the spring Passover month which marks Israel’s exodus from Egypt, Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the civil year, according to the teachings of Judaism, and is the traditional anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman according to the Hebrew Bible, as well as the initiation of humanity’s role in God’s world.

Rosh Hashanah customs include sounding the shofar (a hollowed-out ram’s horn), as prescribed in the Torah, following the prescription of the Hebrew Bible to “raise a noise” on Yom Teruah. Its rabbinical customs include attending synagogue services and reciting special liturgy about teshuva, as well as enjoying festive meals. Eating symbolic foods, such as apples dipped in honey, hoping to evoke a sweet new year, is an ancient tradition recorded in the Talmud.

Wrote something earlier and it went poofed. Well, you have problems with recaptcha and I have one with the Arcade. Within minutes I get something from google and my virus software to close down because the site has viruses. Evidently in preparing the new Arcade, the techs have forgotten to do what needs to be done to make the site a good one.

I tried to get the Rosh Hashanah service online, but I was too late. Seems they started at 6:30 pm instead of 8 pm. My fault for not checking prior. The service from Park St. in NYC is beautiful and one we look forward to if we cannot go to ours.

Hubby is doing OK. We do have our moments. Today, the receptionist was laughing when I came through the door. She said my hubby came in and said he wanted to go outside. Seems he needed to get to Hartford, Ct.. I have no idea why. Turns out that he keeps trying to go outside and makes up any lame excuse. He thought b y saying he had to get to Hartford that it would mean he could go outside and wait for me. I mentioned this to him when I was in his room and he said, “Oh yeah, that.” “I wanted some fresh air.” I couldn’t understand why he wanted to be outside. No air quality, hot and extremely humid. Better to be on the lanai at rehab or out in their park like setting. Actually, I am happy that he is able to get around more and using his legs. He has gained a few pounds and is starting to look more like he used to. I can tell when he doesn’t eat well. The low sugar brings on the loss of memory.

Well, it is again early morning. I was asleep. The house is cool now. I have the A/C on and it is working at a very slow speed. However, the fan is circulating and that is a good thing. I have the overhead fan going in the MB and it keeps the area cool. I hope those techs return this week before we have any other problems. And, yes, I am looking at the hotels in our area. Not sure if I will make a reservation. We shall see.

You had a Coyote in your yard? They are all around in this area and quickly losing more land to those State ordered atrocities of mass buildings. This State is out of control.
We are looking to retire elsewhere. Came across Delaware and think I am in Love. Going to check it out in more detail. I am from MA and this would be like being back home a bit, and at least I could visit there with more ease. It’s one of the few places I can get excited about.

My son is still a bit under the weather. He is working a lot and while being busy is great for him, I think he needs to eat well and rest for a few days. He will meet up with us too.

Good evening my neighbor directly across the street is a breast cancer warrior like me.
This girl has had it twice and she goes like a bunny all day she told me next spring she
is going back to Greece and then some she travels all over the world.

I am glad she is back on her feet because to land in the Greece Airport and have a fall
that bad is heartbreaking she was happy to just learn how to walk again after nearly four
months in the hospital. Bells will ring when she goes through TSA that is how much rods
they put in her leg and ankle. Taci she is from CT. and a College Professor she is back to
teaching.

I hope your son feels right as rain soon. 💕Bobbi Ray Carter had a very interesting show
my mother and I watched it and when Frankie Avalon came on I was stunned because that
is a favorite artist of my mother. My mother is a year younger than him.

Hi Sheba, another nice day here. Hubs and I tackled some yard work this afternoon. I have to supervise because when he gets clippers in his hands he is a wild man. Cuts all my bushes and plants down to the size of golf balls.😲 Everything that is alive looks dead. Maybe that’s the macho way of doing it.💪

Sis is actually taking another cruise while home. Doing a Mexico one out of Cali. Not going for the ports, just going to relax.🛳 She won’t have to worry about mom on this one.

I am getting ready to make a stop at Costco and then from there to visit hubby. I have started Trivia and hope all goes well. Hubby is in good spirits. Last night I decided to make a stop at Sprouts. I was very disappointed that around 5 pm, there were only five people in the market besides myself. Their prices are high and I think that is the main reason. The Market is not for everyone. However, Hubby needed fruit and this place was just a stones throw from home. A very small detour to the Rehab.

Thank you for covering Rosh Hashanah. I did the same in Trivia. If services are over before the game comes to an end, I will say hello.

No A/C as yet and no phone call. It is very dishearteningly. I am now thinking of staying in a hotel next week to give my body a chance to recover from the humidity and heat in the house. I assume we will be in the same circumstances next week as rain is predicted which means another water issue under the house. But, at least, if I am curled up in a hotel room, they cannot say it is coming from a leak inside.

The Rehab is going downhill in that the front door buzzer isn’t working, the ladies room faucet is out of order, and hubby was given a bell to use when he needs help rather than a buzzer,. Seems that the Electricians and A/C people are shutting down areas that are being worked or or will be worked on shortly. I have no idea how the nurses or aides will know who is using the bells since no light will be on over their doorway.

Again, I am running late. Hope you three enjoy the evening.

Being Happy for Friends

It is important to be there for our friends during the good times, not just the difficult times.

When we are close friends with someone, we intuitively know when they need a hug, a helping hand, or a sympathetic ear. Likewise, when we are going through bleak periods in our lives, we count on friends to support us through loss, illness, and other setbacks, both big and small. And while part of being a good friend means being there when the other person needs us, it is just as important to be there for our friends so we can share in their joyous celebrations and triumphs.

After all, who else would our friends want to celebrate their promotions, graduations, marriages, and good news with than their loved ones and good friends. Yet depending on what is happening in our lives, it can sometimes be difficult to be there for our friends during the good times. We can become so busy with our own lives that we forget to make time. Or we may be so focused on our own problems that we may not feel like celebrating with our friends. We may even take their joyful moments for granted, assuming that as long as we’re there for our friends during the bad times that we are doing our jobs. Yet part of being a true friend means also being there during the good times. Success and happiness can feel empty without someone to share them with, and who better to join in our victory dances than our good friends.

Taking time from our busy lives to honor our friends’ happy moments is a wonderful way to show them that they matter. And in many ways, by wanting you around during their happy occasions, your friends are also honoring you. After all, it is the people we cherish that we want to sing at our birthdays, visit our newborn babies, and pop open that bottle of champagne when we reach a milestone moment. The next time a friend wants you to be there to celebrate with them, remember to feel honored that they thought of asking you. Together, you can celebrate their happiness and your rich friendship. AMEN! 😎😘
