Poppy is coming with us that why we are driving. I am not leaving Poppy. Dorothy took
Toto all the way to see the Wizard. LOL. Our son is coming to look out for the cats while
we are gone if things don’t work out to take Poppy our son will be here in the house to
look out for all the animals. 💕😎

Had a great doctor’s appointment this morning. Guess walking from the garage to the main entrance for the hospital and then another long walk to the elevators payed off. All tests were excellent. Next is the Mam. I have the paperwork for that and will make an appointment for October.

I arrived at the hospital around noon time. Made a stop at their cafeteria and brought it to the room. His lunch was already on the table, and when I asked if I should move his lunch closer his remark was, “I just had breakfast.” I met the Case Manager and he will return to the rehab sometime tomorrow afternoon. He was hoping for another place, but this will suffice. Physical Therapy evaluated this morning and they say there is no reason why he cannot start walking on his own again. So, no matter what, he will have PT at the Rehab. If for some reason they refuse, then I can contact his medical insurance and they will take over. For now they suggest that he go ahead with the surgery in November and then see how he does with the anesthesia. If OK then we can proceed on the reconstruction of the knee. He has not shown any sign of dementia while in the hospital. And, for later, we can eat in their cafeteria anytime. My lunch was superb.

Tomorrow I will try to make a couple of stops to check out a microwave and a dishwasher. They both are on the you know what. It could be an electrical problem, but will still purchase a new one. And, tomorrow will definitely start on the huge task of disinfecting the house. Super cleaning and more decluttering coming up. Tomorrow is the entry way, dining area and the kitchen bar. I will be getting rid of the chairs. I need two with arms, maybe a third one if the price is right. I am also looking at ottomans for the outdoor chairs. I found a couple to take a closer look at in Amazon. These are not only ottomans, but can be used as coffee tables and they have storage as well. I just have to take a measurement of the chairs to make sure it will be a good fit. If it rains, they can be used in our den area with the loveseat. Color is purrfect and carries the beach theme. I also will be contacting the person who redid part of the lanai and screens. I need to attach something to the bottom of our den door to keep the critters out. I may need to change out that door. Cannot wait to use “Clean Boss.” Oh, to have a home again will be fantastic.

Yesterday, as I pulled onto our street, I noticed a German shepherd sitting on the grass. It was raining and I do not think anyone in our area has this pooch. I opened the passenger window and started talking to him. He cocked his head. I then slowly got out of the car. and he took off. He seemed to be well fed and maybe his owner let him out. I don’t know. He didn’t have a collar. He wasn’t there today, so hopefully, he/she is home.

This week is going by all too fast. Tomorrow is when I get the recycle and the garbage together for Thursday. Not sure if I have enough. We shall see.

We are getting there, a tad better each day. Still have a cough but not constant, no temperature. I am going to test us both tomorrow. Not much else happening since I’ve been laying low.😔

Those pancakes are my husband’s favorite – IHOP red, white and blue.🥞 Most of their pancakes are like desserts now.
