Conversation – 20
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 20 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Bohemian Rhapsody
Song by QueenIs this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality
Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see
I’m just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I’m easy come, easy go, little high, little low
Any way the wind blows doesn’t really matter to me, to me
Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, now he’s dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I’ve gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooh, didn’t mean to make you cry
If I’m not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine, body’s aching all the time
Goodbye, everybody, I’ve got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, ooh (any way the wind blows)
I don’t wanna die
I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all
I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango?
Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening me
(Galileo) Galileo, (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro, magnifico
But I’m just a poor boy, nobody loves me
He’s just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come, easy go, will you let me go?
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ
No, we will not let you go (let him go)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ
We will not let you go (let him go)
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ
We will not let you go (let me go)
Will not let you go (let me go)
Never, never, never, never let me go
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh, mamma mia, mamma mia
Mamma mia, let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye?
So you think you can love me and leave me to die?
Oh, baby, can’t do this to me, baby
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here
Ooh
Ooh, yeah, ooh, yeah
Nothing really matters, anyone can see
Nothing really matters
Nothing really matters to me -
Killer Queen
Song by QueenShe keeps her Moët et Chandon
In her pretty cabinet
“Let them eat cake, ” she says
Just like Marie Antoinette
A built-in remedy
For Khrushchev and Kennedy
At anytime an invitation
You can’t decline
Caviar and cigarettes
Well versed in etiquette
Extraordinarily nice
She’s a Killer Queen
Gunpowder, gelatine
Dynamite with a laser beam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime
Recommended at the price
Insatiable an appetite
Wanna try?
To avoid complications
She never kept the same address
In conversation
She spoke just like a baroness
Met a man from China
Went down to Geisha Minor
Then again incidentally
If you’re that way inclined
Perfume came naturally from Paris (naturally)
For cars she couldn’t care less
Fastidious and precise
She’s a Killer Queen
Gunpowder, gelatine
Dynamite with a laser beam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime
Drop of a hat she’s as willing as
Playful as a cat
Then momentarily out of action
Temporarily out of gas
To absolutely drive you wild, wild
She’s out to get you
She’s a Killer Queen
Gunpowder, gelatine
Dynamite with a laser beam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime
Recommended at the price
Insatiable an appetite
Wanna try?
You wanna try -

Good evening rest my friend what a day. Oz is in the 50’s right now.
We will be in the 30’s in the morning. I am turning the fireplace on for a few. -
Good evening to you. Physically and mentally tired, I am ready for some orange wine!🍊 Ran back and forth for mom and then realized she hadn’t put her monthly deposits into her checking account ledger. Got all that figured out then cleaned up her house while she was at the salon. I miss sis!!!🤣 Taking care of two households is tough.
Tomorrow and most of the next week will be in the 40s and 50’s, sounds like Oz. Not complaining, nice to breathe in some fresh air. Leaves are turning and falling quick.🍁🍂
Going to put my feet up, have a relaxing evening. Lots of hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

I just started the thread for tonight. It will be a conversation with some input I hope. DEFG, hopefully, will join us and will help. It seems she has had experience with Trivia on line. I do miss FBN and remember the last response was he had Covid. With all his health problems, I am hoping that he recovered and is doing the best he can with the limited eyesight. I have not seen any posts from FBN since that time.
Hubby is not a happy camper at the Rehab. He wants home and I had to reiterate that he needs tp be able to get in and out of bed on his own and to be able to walk with or without a walker, though we do have a wheelchair if needed. He forgets that he is dead weight and I can no longer lift him out of a wheelchair into bed. The HOA here limits the amount of time that someone could stay the night. Actually, once the catheter is removed, he will need to be able to do things on his own. He will spend one night in the hospital following surgery because of the anesthesia. The next day the catheter will be permanently removed. I assume he will spend another night or two to make sure that everything is OK.
We are still experiencing summer on the Gulf coast. Yesterday the temps were in the low 90s with humidity. I had turned the fan off hours prior to the A//C and kept the overhead on. If the house heats up like it did yesterday, I will definitely make reservations somewhere. The techs will be here next Thursday. Hopefully, we will not have any major storms that will make the water back up.

Kindness
Kindness expands the light within us and reaches out to touch the light in others as well.
Kindness is an ideal that is easily accessible to all of us. We all know that a small kindness can make our journeys lighter and more enjoyable. Even bringing an instance of kindness to mind can put a smile on your face days or weeks later or perhaps even inspire you to share kindness with another. Though it may seem simple to the point of insignificance, many cultures throughout the world and history have recognized kindness as a powerful virtue. It may be the simplest way to experience and share all the grandest ideals of humanity. We can make the choice to act from the best place within ourselves at any time, while simultaneously recognizing the highest potential in another with the smallest of acts, nourishing the seed of hope in each soul we encounter.
In a way, kindness acts as the oil that makes the engine of our world move more smoothly and with less friction. We can still get where we are going but the ride is more pleasant, and those around us can share in the ideal world that we help to create. We are all fortunate that kindness is limitless in its supply and available to everyone. When we act in ways that confirm our ideals, we make the ideal our reality. Then, instead of affirming the experience of struggle and competition, we can shift our experience to the reality of ease and pleasurable camaraderie with the fellow citizens of the world.
Whether giving way to someone in traffic or letting someone go ahead of us in line, donating money or sharing our homes in a crisis, we actively create a universe of kindness and giving with every choice we make. The smallest gesture can bring a smile to light the shadow of an unpleasant situation or remove tension from a difficult task, but its effects can echo and extend far beyond the moment. We can be sure that we will receive kindness in return, but giving is its own reward. Kindness expands the light within us and reaches out to touch the light in others as well, giving us all a glimpse of the glow that has the power to enlighten our world. 🎈😎

National Orange Wine Day is celebrated every year on October 6 but it’s always a good day to pop open a bottle of orange wine. Now we know what you’re thinking — ‘Orange wine? Like wine made from oranges? That’s neat!’ Yes, it does sound neat. However, orange wine is not a wine made from oranges. It has nothing to do with oranges. It’s wine made of white wine grapes that are fermented with their skins on. This is what gives the finished product its distinct color. Although you may not have seen orange wine in a lot of places but trust us, that’s going to change soon!
HISTORY OF NATIONAL ORANGE WINE DAY
National Orange Wine Day was first established in 2018 by the “National Day Registry,” in an attempt to bring more awareness to this beautiful yet little-known wine. Now you may not have seen orange wine at your nearest liquor store or even your favorite watering hole, but this wine has roots tracing back thousands of years.
Wine scholars suggest that orange wine was first made in Georgia, Europe way back in 6000 B.C. What’s interesting is that Georgia is also thought to be the birthplace of wine. In the coming thousands of years, orange wine fell into obscurity. But a recent resurgence started around two decades ago when wine connoisseurs all over the world rediscovered this unusual type of wine.
The technical term for this wine style is ‘skin-contact wine’ because of the technique with which they are made. Just like all the other popular styles of wine — red, white, sparkling, and rose — orange wine is also made from pressing and fermenting grapes — white wine grapes to be specific.
To put it simply, white wine is made from grapes with their skins off, red wine is made from grapes with their skins on, while rose is made from grapes that have had their skin left on for a short period.
Orange wines, or skin-contact wines, are made with white grapes with their skins on. When the crushed grapes are fermenting, they take on a more tannic quality from their skins and pips, but also a deeper color. Most skin-contact wines are more of a golden yellow than a definite orange but many end up having a bright amber shade.
