Conversation – 20
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 20 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Good afternoon. I did see hubby yesterday and he was in real good spirits. I brought two full freezer bags with me just in case. Yes, I made it to the Farmer’s Market and spent some time looking (more than an hour). They had something new in apples and bought a plastic container full. These were very tiny, almost the size of a crabapple, and of course very hesitant in a purchase. That was, until the manager of the market came around and explained that it was truly an apple and sweet. I also bought two 20 0unce containers of cubed watermelon that were on sale along with a container of honeydew. Also purchased a small container of mixed fruit and two ready made salads for me and a lobster roll (sweet and delicious). That was the beginning. Oh, they had the hot hot mango salsa. I needed a fix. Also found an Italian grinder for hubby that was full to the brim. Once I was done and paid for everything I put the items that needed refrigeration into the coolers. Again, thankfully, I had D-Best with me. To carry the load would have been impossible.
Hubby’s eyes popped when he saw the huge assortment. First thing he tried was the small container of fresh fruit. He ate almost the whole thing. Then he took a few bites of the grinder. But the watermelon stood out. No, he had to try the small apples. He loved them. So I put a few in a paper bowl for whenever. He was on cloud nine. And, as it turned out, he passed on dinner. I did have Kindle with me, but he was too absorbed with food. So I will bring it today.
Yes, I am watching the tropics. I think it’s Franklin who is heading towards Bermuda. It just may pass that area, but there is still a possibility of high winds and flooding. I did warn shoelady60. If anything, they may be in port when this thing hits, or else the cruise ship will be going elsewhere to avoid the storm. These are the months that I do not go anywhere, unless I’m in New England. I learned that lesson the hard way last year. And I am still frustrated with the roofer I had last year. No replies on my last dozen or so e-mails pertaining to the downspout and overhang on one side of the lanai. The lanai person should be here prior to the storm to at least install a downspout or two. –
Hope you have a great day. Stay cool.

The Summer Knows
Song by Barbra StreisandThe summer smiles, the summer knows
And unashamed, she sheds her clothes
The summer smoothes the restless sky
And lovingly she warms the sand
On which you lie
The summer knows, the summer’s wise
She sees the doubts within your eyes
And so she takes her summertime
Tells the moon to wait and the sun to linger
Twists the world ’round her summer finger
Lets you see the wonder of it all
And if you’ve learned your lesson well
There’s little more for her to tell
One last caress
It’s time to dress
For fall
And if you’ve learned your lesson well
There’s little more for her to tell
One last caress
It’s time to dress
For fall
