Conversation – 20
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 20 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Another watch the TV weather day. Seems never-ending this year with major events. I’m weary just watching let alone being part of it.😟 Saying lots of prayers.🙏 We are having a nice week but temps rising over the weekend, may hit 90’s by Monday.
Haven’t heard from mom and sis but probably tomorrow since they will be in port. I have a feeling they may have some rough waters on their return to Baltimore.😕
My neighbor across the road is having heart surgery on Friday so spent some time with him today on the pros and cons. Hope I made him feel better and offered a helping hand for whatever he and his wife may need.🤞
Hang in there, my friend. Prayers again for all our family and friends to our south.🙏💖🙏

I arrived at the hotel/motel around 2 pm after making a stop at the farmer’s market. Had a huge yen for a meatball grinder and it was on sale this week. Saw they also had a lobster sa!ad roll and could not resist. Happy person I am. Now have meals for two days. No cooking needed.😀😀😀
When I left home it was partly cloudy and continued to be that way when i arrived at the market.. As I exited the market a very light rain with dark clouds coming our way from the ocean. I had time to put everything in the car and be in the driver’s seat before the delugre. Good news it didn’t last long and I was able to see the road ahead without a problem.
Though the storm is following a similar path as ian, it does not carry the same punch. I do not expect any damage but one never knows until the return. It will be mainly a rain event. The wind will be no more than 50 mph at any given time. There will be storm surges along the coastline with some flooding. I signed up for two nights just in case. Using this time as a mini awaycation which I sorely need. Definitely will check the house tomorrow and may visit hubby if he has returned from Orlando.

@Sheba🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Hello and how are you doing?
Got good results yesterday from the doctor. I stopped in Walmart on the way home. Got some groceries and the Cuban bread I like a lot. Even though I bake bread, I can’t get that bread just right, it’s so fluffy and tastes great. I also had ordered from Kroger to be delivered today. I did modified the order and removed items I got in Walmart. The heavy items such as water, milk etc, I just left for it to be delivered.
I am getting ready for the hurricane, cooking and baking today. Getting the outside ready so nothing flies away. Hubby is in Minnesota visiting his mother. So it’s me and the hurricane, but I am used to this. Had many hurricanes by myself.
Not sure if the power will stay on once the high winds hit us. Last year we lost power.Take care Sheba 🌹

What Makes People Tick?
Many people are very different from ourselves and coming to a place of acceptance can make the road easier.
All people have their own way of being in the world. It is easiest to comprehend this basic yet profound fact when we consider that every human being on the planet occupies a distinct role in the universe. We grow up in different environments, affected by a unique range of influences. The preferences, values, and beliefs we embrace are frequently related intimately to our origins. And the need to individualize our experiences is instinctive, as doing so enables us to cope when we must face challenges on our own. Consequently, each of us has developed a perspective that is uniquely ours. Interacting peacefully and constructively with people from all walks of life is a matter of first understanding where they are coming from. Then we can adjust our expectations so that we avoid making undue assumptions about what they are about.
In the face of emerging interpersonal conflict, it is easy to assume that others are being difficult, unreasonable, or stubborn. We are apt to grow frustrated when someone in our environment does not share our opinions or feel compelled to support us in our endeavors. It is likely that the individual or individuals before us may simply possess differing notions with regard to what is and what is not important in this life. We can ease the tension that exists between us by reaffirming our belief in the fundamental right of all beings to determine their own destinies. To foster a harmonious relationship, we need to do our best to relate to the unique universes they inhabit. And as we discover what makes them tick, our ability to find a mode of interaction that is pleasing to both of us is enhanced.
When there are barriers keeping you from connecting with someone else, think of questions you can ask them to gain a more thorough understanding of their point of view. You may discover that in addition to the differences in perspective dividing you, they are subject to insecurities and other personal issues that influence their way of seeing the world. It is likely that you will never fully grasp the myriad complexities embodied by humanity, but you can go a long way toward encouraging mutually satisfying relations by reaching out to others in the spirit of sympathetic comprehension. AMEN! ✨✨
