Conversation – 20

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 20 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

I know you are in bed and sound asleep. I just happened to pop in. I will need to go to a hotel for the duration. I just hope that they do this during the week when the rates are less and it is easier to find a room. I will treat this as a mini awaycation. Before this happens, though, I need to know where the critters are coming from. The lanai area is done as far as tightening everything up. The holes near the house are gone and fully taken care of. I have a funny feeling that it is coming from the air conditioner area. The tech must have opened the crawl space under the house and neglected to put the chicken wire back. These guys will need to check that area. This is not the first time that the technician left everything opened. He knows better. So far the A/C is still not working and I suspect there is water in that area.
By the way, I love your bed. We have a Queen metal bed that hubby put together incorrectly. The directions were OK. The nails that came with the frame were not the right ones. The entire frame will need to come a part before hubby returns home. I will use just the mattress and store the box spring. This way, if hubby falls again, he will have 14″ instead of 21″. I am looking at air mattresses to go between the bed and the dresser. And, when not in use, under the bed. Hopefully, it will be a very soft landing and this way he can continue sleeping on that instead of the floor.
I do use linens and also quilts. Our quilts are light weight, but still take up some room in our washer. I usually do one at a time and before bringing them to the laundry room< I do a spot check while they are on the bed and spritz. I will be using three quilts. One tan/beige for sand and tIwo blue for the different colors of the ocean. It will be fun putting the bedroom together.

Well, it looks like I will need to be an early bird tomorrow morning. Terminix will be back and this time with another person. I need to be up anyway. It’s garbage and recycle day. A day later because of Labor Day. Gosh, it feels like Labor Day was weeks ago instead of 4 days out.
Hubby was asleep when I arrived, or, faking it. His dinner was on his tray and it smelled heavenly. He didn’t want it, so I proceeded to eat mine. I couldn’t get him interested. Then around 7:30 pm, the nurse happened to come in to take his blood pressure and I mentioned he was asleep. NO, she said, his eyes were opened. She then raised the bed to a sitting position and fed him dinner. He ate everything. Guess I will need to do that tomorrow. After eating he enjoyed watching Public TV. First time in ages that he actually watched a program. He also asked about the new hurricane, Lee. I told him that it could head for our homes in the Northeast and also mentioned that it may be necessary for me to fly out to assess any damage. He said he didn’t want me to return, but, we will wait and see. It’s still too early to make any decisions. I will admit that this storm is scary and has my attention. Praying it will be away from the coast.
I will be going to Costco. Hubby wants their chicken. Says he has a yen. I need other things as well. And, yes, will fill the tank of the van as well. Gas here has gone from $3.79 down to $3.65/gal. It goes up or down on Thursdays.
Guess I better get some shuteye. Hope you three have a great evening. Tomorrow is Trivia and I will get everyone ready before leaving. It was quite warm tonight, but the humidity was down a bit from this afternoon.
