Conversation – 19
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 19 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

National Brazilian Blowout Day is celebrated on August 21 every year. It is a celebration that commemorates the well-known hair straightening procedure. Do you know that getting a Brazilian blowout keeps your hair silky throughout the summer?

Father Figure” is a song that goes further than those composed for the album “Faith”. It’s an elaborate extended sigh, the snaps of the fingers, the acoustic guitar solo and that Middle Eastern synth riff make it a song with a strong impact not only musically, but emotionally. It’s a soul song that draws on gospel, in the chorus the vocals sound exactly like a gospel choir and George’s voice is whispery, sensual and controlled at the same time. It gets louder as the song evolves, never stretching too far and maintaining that signature whisper. “Father Figure” aims for emotional clarity, but is bold as well; yes, it is a love song, but it alludes to transgression, to the play of the respective roles. George sings about wanting to become the most important person in someone’s life, not really as a lover, but as a father figure, offering himself as a refuge for that person. It was time for star George Michael to take the man George Michael seriously, turning the language of pop music into a romantic ideal.
