Conversation – 19
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 19 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Sheba, the Switys must think the price tag is worth it. Hope the crowds were well behaved.
Read Oodie’s post and these places really need more over site from agency’s that care to do their jobs. All of them! It’s great Oodie can call and visit and bring food. Her presence makes a difference. Hope she uses her cell phone for any pictures.
Nice comment about the distance with the wildlife. These animals habitats are getting smaller and smaller.
Hope you had a good Sunday. Till tomorrow… -
This thing with the shakes really bothers me. As I said earlier, there is no reason for this to occur. He is fine during the week, that is, Monday thru Wednesday, when the food is better and pretty good. On Thursday and Friday, the head nurse/unit mgr watches what is going on and actually does the same the rest of the week. However, comes Saturday and Sunday, they are short staffed. But that is not an excuse to take food away from a patient who needs to eat. The staff Monday thru Friday knows my hubby may not eat the meal right away and keep it there until he decides one way or another. Sometimes he enjoys the sweetness of a dessert prior to eating the meal. Other times he is not that hungry, but may want it later. I will be going in person to speak with someone. Tonight he was almost OK. Thank goodness I did stop for Asian takeout. At first he wasn’t hungry, but when I mentioned they had made his favorite appetizer, that was all that was needed for him to start digging in. About a hour before leaving I started cleaning. I emptied the tray of all food and water. Of course that is when he needed something for thirst. Mentioned that I had forewarned him and now he had to wait. I washed everything with soap and water and then dried it with paper towels. Before moving everything back, I rang for the nurses to help move him into a better position, They were there within seconds and had to change his bedding . Not an easy feat when one leg cannot move the way it should. Anyway, they brought in clean sheets and other bedding. They were able to move him into a better position and I was able to quench his thirst. Anyway, the tray was back in place and I put some fruit in front along with a couple of drinks (water & sugar free soda). Hopefully, I will make a trip to the Farmer’s Market tomorrow, return home and then proceed on to the rehab. Still need to stop at Lowe’s. And, yes, I will rest before tackling any project. Tomorrow is garbage day, but I had a huge load on Friday. May wait until Thursday.

I have a concern I don’t like the fact your husband has the shakes from not eating.

it be for now. I would like to be a fly on the wall when you call. 😎Hey enjoy your evening and rest don’t forget trash day tomorrow.
Let me know how you are feeling. 🌹

Elton John
“Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me”I can’t light no more of your darkness
All my pictures seem to fade to black and white
I’m growing tired, and time stands still before me
Frozen here on the ladder of my lifeToo late to save myself from falling
I took a chance and changed your way of life
But you misread my meaning when I met you
Closed the door and left me blinded by the lightDon’t let the sun go down on me
Although I search myself, it’s always someone else I see
I’d just allow a fragment of your life to wander free
But losing everything is like the sun going down on meI can’t find, oh, the right romantic line
But see me once and see the way I feel
Don’t discard me just because you think I mean you harm
But these cuts I have, oh, they need love to help them healDon’t let the sun go down on me
(Don’t let the sun)
Although I search myself, it’s always someone else I see
I’d just allow a fragment of your life to wander free
(Don’t let the sun)
But losing everything is like the sun going down on meDon’t let the sun go down on me
(Don’t let the sun)
Although I search myself, it’s always someone else I see
I’d just allow a fragment of your life to wander free, yeah
(Don’t let the sun)
But losing everything is like the sun going down on me -

“Your Song”It’s a little bit funny, this feeling inside
I’m not one of those who can easily hide
I don’t have much money but, boy if I did
I’d buy a big house where, we both could liveIf I was a sculptor, but then again no
Or a man who makes potions in a traveling show
I know it’s not much but it’s the best I can doMy gift is my song and
And this one’s for you
And you can tell everybody, this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it’s done
I hope you don’t mind
I hope you don’t mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is, while you’re in the worldI sat on the roof and kicked, off the moss
Well a few, of the verses, well they’ve got me quite cross
But the sun’s been quite kind
While I wrote this song
It’s for people like you that oh
Keep it turned onSo excuse me forgetting
But these things I do
You see, I’ve forgotten
If they’re green or they’re blue
Anyway the thing is, what I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes oh I’ve ever seenAnd you can tell everybody that this is your song
It may be quite simple but
Now that it’s done
I hope you don’t mind
I hope you don’t mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you’re in the world
I hope you don’t mind
I hope you don’t mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you’re in the world -
Candle In The Wind
Song by Elton JohnGoodbye, Norma Jeane
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
They crawled out of the woodwork
And they whispered into your brain
They set you on the treadmill
And they made you change your name
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would’ve liked to know you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did
Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Hollywood created a superstar
And pain was the price you paid
Even when you died
Oh, the press still hounded you
All the papers had to say
Was that Marilyn was found in the nude
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would’ve liked to know you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did
Goodbye, Norma Jeane
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
Goodbye, Norma Jeane
From the young man in the twenty second row
Who sees you as something more than
More than just our Marilyn Monroe
And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would’ve liked to know you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did -
Philadelphia Freedom
Song by Elton JohnI used to be a rolling stone, you know
If a cause was right
I’d leave, to find the answer on the road
I used to be a heart beatin’ for someone
But the times have changed
The less I say, the more my work gets done
‘Cause I live and breathe this Philadelphia freedom
From the day that I was born, I’ve waved the flag
Philadelphia freedom took me knee-high to a man, yeah
Gave me peace of mind my daddy never had
Oh, Philadelphia freedom
Shine on me, I love ya
Shine a light through the eyes of the ones left behind
Shine a light, shine the light
Shine the light, won’t you shine the light?
Philadelphia freedom, I love ya
Yes, I do
If you choose to you can live your life alone
Some people choose the city (some people choose the city)
Some others choose the good old family home
(Some others choose the good old family home)
I like living easy without family ties (’cause it’s easy)
‘Til the whip or will of freedom zapped me, right between the eyes
‘Cause I live and breathe this Philadelphia freedom
From the day that I was born, I’ve waved the flag
Philadelphia freedom took me knee-high to a man, mmh-mmh
Gave me peace of mind my daddy never had
Oh, Philadelphia freedom
Shine on me, I love ya
Shine a light through the eyes of the ones left behind
Shine a light, shine the light
Shine the light, won’t you shine the light?
Philadelphia freedom, I love ya
Yes, I do
Oh, Philadelphia freedom
Shine on me, I love ya
Shine a light through the eyes of the ones left behind, mmh
Shine a light, shine the light
Shine the light, won’t you shine the light?
Philadelphia freedom, I love ya
You know, I love you, yeah
You know, I love you
Yes, I do! (Philadelphia freedom)
I love you, yes I do!
(Philadelphia freedom) you know that I love you
Yes, I do! (Philadelphia) oh (freedom)
Don’t you know that I love you?
Yes, I do! (Philadelphia freedom)
Don’t you know that I love you?
Yes, I do! (Philadelphia) oh, oh (freedom)
Don’t you know that I love you? -
Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting
Song by Elton JohnIt’s getting late have you seen my mates
Ma tell me when the boys get here
It’s seven o’clock and I want to rock
Want to get a belly full of beer
My old man’s drunker than a barrel full of monkeys
And my old lady she don’t care
My sister looks cute in her braces and boots
A handful of grease in her hair
Oh, don’t give us none of your aggravation
We had it with your discipline
Oh, Saturday night’s alright for fighting
Get a little action in
Get about as oiled as a diesel train
Gonna set this dance alight
‘Cause Saturday night’s the night I like
Saturday night’s alright alright alright, ooh
Well they’re packed pretty tight in here tonight
I’m looking for a dolly who’ll see me right
I may use a little muscle to get what I need
I may sink a little drink and shout out she’s with me
A couple of the sounds that I really like
Are the sounds of a switchblade and a motorbike
I’m a juvenile product of the working class
Whose best friend floats in the bottom of a glass, oh
Don’t give us none of your aggravation
We had it with your discipline
Saturday night’s alright for fighting
Get a little action in
Get about as oiled as a diesel train
Gonna set this dance alight
‘Cause Saturday night’s the night I like
Saturday night’s alright alright alright, ooh
Oh, don’t give us none of your aggravation
We had it with your discipline
Saturday night’s alright for fighting
Get a little action in
Get about as oiled as a diesel train
Gonna set this dance alight
‘Cause Saturday night’s the night I like
Saturday night’s alright alright alright, ooh
Saturday, Saturday, Saturday
Saturday, Saturday, Saturday
Saturday, Saturday,
Saturday night’s alright
Saturday, Saturday, Saturday
Saturday, Saturday, Saturday
Saturday, Saturday,
Saturday night’s alright
Saturday, Saturday, Saturday
Saturday, Saturday, Saturday
Saturday, Saturday,
Saturday night’s alright, ooh
