Oodie, hope you get some answers soon. Maybe your hubs has low blood sugar between meals and needs steady snacks or boost type drinks. I know you have it covered.

Sheba, I love watching people walking or hiking with their dogs and seeing how much they love them. Those little booties sound so adorable.
I have seen the warnings about the heat on pavement burning paws.
It makes me laugh when the dogs stop so we hikers can say hello and pet them. Some people bring treats. I never know if people want me to pet the dog or if they are training the dog not to stop. Guess this is a dog area.
We were hot today and I hiked early to attempt to go somewhere at 5pm but things came up and I didn’t get there, then I sort of napped since I am still a tad off with a slight cold or something,

I decided to venture to Aldi’s instead of the Farmer’s Market. I was able to find cut up watermelon and pineapple and also strawberries. Picked up some cookies that I know hubby likes and a salad for me. I was in Aldi’s all of 15 minutes and then packed everything into a market bag and slid it into the dbest pouch. I ordered a pizza while in the parking lot and it was ready by the time I arrived. Hubby’s dinner was on his table. The food had not been touched. He was in bed and not sitting up. His knee was giving him pain and I could sympathize because my left ankle was giving me a problem and a half. It is just as swollen as his knee. Anyway, his dinner consisted of a nice portion of ham with macaroni and cheese and over cooked broccoli. For dessert he had a small container of canned pineapple with juice. Even though I had the pizza, his dinner didn’t look all that bad. I cut up the ham and then dipped it into the pineapple juice and added a pineapple to the fork. He loved the combo. Didn’t like the macaroni and cheese (it was overdone) and hated the broccoli. Why the nurses didn’t help him to sit up a bit is beyond me. His position was awful and the pain in his knee was unbearable. Anyway, a little later he tried the pizza and his comment was that I didn’t go to our newest place. Had to remind him that the new place was closed. He was right, the pizza was not as good as the other one. But, at least he ate one huge slice and I was happy. Washed the fruit and left it on his table to he can enjoy it during the early morning hours. I stayed until after 10 pm.

We had rain twice yesterday. The first storm was around 5 pm and the second one after 8pm. Both were hard hitters. We need the rain so it was a no fuss no bother thing. Rain was in the forecast for early evening. Nothing happened. Rain is predicted for tomorrow. I hope to get some work done on the house. I found a rather large box and have no idea what is in it. It will be like Chanukah in July. LOL. Yes, I did do some shopping at Amazon. Bought light bulbs. Sorely needed. Saw a small crockpot that is a plug in and thought it was a good idea and then changed my mind when I realized it was on the small size. There was another model that looked good. I will sleep on it tonight. It could come in handy while traveling (if we ever get to that point), and awesome for reheating a meal in the room. I was thinking it could hold my winter melon soup and some other items as well. Nothing like a home cooked meal from time to time.

Think I will now sit back and relax. May play a game or two in the Arcade. Have a great evening and try to stay cool, It’s on the cloudy side here. No stars or moon seen.

Good evening our heat index will be well over 100 tomorrow. My cousin
is doing alright I spoke to her a couple days ago. Cousin is walking still
talks about her husband who passed in that accident. Thank you for thinking
of her and your prayers. 💕

My we are in the dog days of summer here in OZ I am dreaming of fall I mean real
fall the kind that last for months not weeks. 😎

Hi in hades🔥. We are very warm today and tomorrow but don’t think as hot as you. Upper 80s rest of the week. Staying inside with the A/C. Have some errands to run in the morning. Need to stop and see mom and sis by the end of the week. Mom has a picnic at a country club on Sunday so sis is taking her to get her nails done.💅

Sheba, how is your cousin who was in the accident doing? I hope she is making progress and I wish her peace and happiness down the road.💗

I went to rehab without food and found hubby finishing dinner. Then he became shaky and I asked him if he missed any meals and he said breakfast and lunch. He told the staff he wasn’t hungry so they took the food away. An hour later he said he wanted a pizza. I had the cell and decided to check and found all the good ones were closed both Monday and Tuesday. The only place opened was Culver’s and he didn’t want a sandwich or a salad. So today I will cover all the bases. First to the Farmer’s Market and then Culver’s for their ice cream. I will not purchase anything for the house today since I will be going straight to rehab with one extra stop. The head nurse/unit mgr was not there and Administration’s offices are closed for the week. I also tried to contact the urologist and guess their offices are also closed. And then I really need to see our physician and guess what, their offices were closed last week and this week. Guess I will resort to the walk in if things get worse. The doctor’s offices did have someone covering the phones, but that was it. I am very concerned with the shaking and it does disappear after eating and then the brain is there as if nothing happens. I will be buying quite a few things in fruit and also a salad for both of us. Now to check on another place for pizza and if open, will put an order in while still in the parking lot of the Farmer’s Market.

Fighting Against Our Gifts

Continually fighting against your gifts may bring about a louder knock at your door that you won’t welcome.

We often have a tendency to fight against using our natural gifts. Many stories of success start with an individual who is ignoring the call of his or her inborn abilities. There are many possible reasons for this resistance, from fear that the calling will be too difficult to a disbelief in the very work one is being asked to do. We may feel too small, too distracted by other people’s ideas about what we should do, or too uninformed. Whatever the case, the resistance to actualizing ourselves has very concrete consequences, and many of us have been called out of hiding by an illness or a twist of fate that unequivocally dismantled our resistance. In other words, the universe knocks, and if we don’t answer, it knocks louder.

For example, if you are meant to be a healer and are trying to be a lawyer, you may have trouble getting or keeping a job. This doesn’t mean that you can’t still be a lawyer, but perhaps integrating your gifts into your work is what is calling you. On the other hand, you may simply feel an underlying anxiety that you are not on the right path. Pay attention to this feeling, and ask for guidance from the universe, being open to all its communications, from subtle internal yearnings to powerful dreams. As you begin to risk opening the door to your natural gifts, your life situation may shift in a powerful way. However, you may find that small steps in the right direction, such as taking a class or setting aside one night a week to paint or write is enough for now.

The first step on the journey to our calling in life is to listen to our internal voice and respond to the universe knocking at the door. As we do, the symptoms and anxieties that have haunted us will fade into the background, replaced by opportunities, both big and small, to open the door to what we are truly here to do. AMEN! ✨

Good Morning in S. California here is to a cooler day where you are. OZ is hot period.

I took Poppy out extra early you will not believe what I saw yesterday right in front of my
house there was a lady walking her huge dog and that dog had the cutest dog shoes
I have ever seen she was smart to put shoes on the dog because the pavement is hot.

Poppy has a cute pair I put on him when it is super hot like this even in the back yard. 😎✨
