Conversation – 19
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 19 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

I got a few things done this morning. Garbage and recycle went out without a problem. Decided to relax and fell asleep, but managed to get one side of our front door done and will do the other tomorrow. It looked like rain most of the day, but, as usual, nothing happened. It was hot, but not as humid. The clouds were a gorgeous puffy white and the blue sky was just amazing.
Decided not to purchase an Italian grinder for hubby. After hearing what he weighed yesterday, I thought of doing a real good treat and so I went on line and took a look at different menus. After much thought went with the new Italian place near us and called in an order. Got hubby pork chops with linguini and for myself clams and shrimp with linguini. The food was hot and the bag was not that easy to carry because of the heat coming through it. I didn’t use the cart this time and just used the bag that the food was in. It was easy to carry even though I had to change the hands every so often.
Arrived in hubby’s room only to find that the cart had tipped over and his dinner was all over the place on the floor. Broken dishes everywhere. I almost fell as I slipped on soda and water that had gone every which way on the floor. I immediately rang for help and at the same time checked to make sure hubby was OK. He was. What must have happened is that the food was brought in and hubby was in a prone position in bed. No one thought to put him into a sitting position or to help him sit up. Consequently, eating was precarious. After the cleanup I had to ask for them to help hubby get into a good position to eat. I thought for sure they would have brought another plate, but they did not. Thank goodness I bought two meals. There were two pork chops and hubby ate the entire thing. My dinner was excellent. I do not know if I can top this. The food was awesome and they even threw in Italian homemade bread. I forgot to bring the battery operated candles. Definitely will not forget next time. And yes, I will be contacting the restaurant tomorrow to say thank you. Best of all, hubby had no shakes and was very coherent.
I was able to get in touch with the Urology Department and spoke to the Assistant. I explained the situation and that an appointment could be made when hubby is able to get out of the wheelchair and be able to lift himself on to the table. Otherwise I will have to find a medical group to drive him to Tampa for the hour and a half procedure. Not an easy feat when you are dealing with bumper to bumper traffic due to construction. She was amazed at what I was going through and said she would check on it and get back to me. She will leave a message if I am out and about. The rehab has people who can help hubby get out of the chair and on to the table. Right now I can h onestly say that hubby is doing better and is staying hydrated. However, I forgot to mention to the nurses that he needed water by the bedside and there was a bottle of water on the night stand that I forgot to leave on his cart. Shucks…….there is no way for me to call in. It’s after 7pm and everything is shut down phone wise.
It just dawned on me that the food stayed nice and hot from the time I picked it up until we could enjoy it about 45 minutes later. There is absolutely no excuse why the kitchen people cannot keep the food warm from the time it leaves the prep area until it reaches the patient. So glad I had the backup plan. It worked out well.
Have a great night and enjoy the moon. Stay cool.

The Warmth Of The Sun
Song by The Beach BoysWhat good is the dawn
That grows into day
The sunset at night
Or living this way
For I have the warmth of the sun
(Warmth of the sun)
Within me at night
(Within me at night)
The love of my life
She left me one day
I cried when she said
“I don’t feel the same way”
Still I have the warmth of the sun
(Warmth of the sun)
Within me tonight
(Within me tonight)
I’ll dreams of her arms
And though they’re not real
Just like she’s still there
The way that I feel
My love’s like the warmth of the sun
(Warmth of the sun)
It won’t ever die
(It won’t ever die) -
Summertime – Louie Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald
Summertime and the livin’ is easy
Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high
Oh, your daddy’s rich and your ma is good lookin’
So hush little baby, don’t you cry
One of these mornings
You’re goin’ to rise up singing
Then you’ll spread your wings
And you’ll take the sky
But till that morning
There’s a nothin’ can harm you, yeah
With daddy and mammy standin’ by
Summertime and the livin’ is easy
Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high
Oh, your daddy’s rich and your ma is good lookin’
So hush little baby, yeah don’t you cry, don’t cry
