Conversation – 19
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 19 out of the
series. I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

Good morning. Fell asleep when I returned home (in bed) and when I awoke just a few minutes ago posted in the Trivia thread from yesterday. Things did not go as planned yesterday. I did go to the Farmer’s Market and this time they had some food to try. They had Argentine shrimp on sale and one of the owner’s wives was baking some in a pan for everyone to try. The Argentine shrimp I always seemed to pass, but this time I decided to try a sample. As you said earlier to xango, “nothing like fresh fish on a hot summer day.” Well,l I did try it and it was delicious. I then went on to the dessert and bread section and picked up chocolate chip cookies for hubby. Two minutes later I was at checkout and then things started to happen. The inside of my mouth became extremely sore. The pain and the itch unbearable. I couldn’t wait to get to the van. I knew right away that this was an allergy attack from sulfites. The shrimp was the culprit. I realized, too late that there had to be preservatives in that frozen shrimp and that is why I never purchased it. So, before putting everything in the car I popped a chlortab and a Benadryl. Then I unloaded some things into a cooler that had an ice pak. The pain and itch started to go away. Phew, that was the end of that. By this time I was running late and so I went directly to rehab and brought the cooler with the cart. Hubby was in a wheelchair. Oh, forgot one thing. This is so funny. The receptionist mentioned that my hubby was in the wheelchair and made it to the front door and proceeded to want out. Said he wanted to go home. Hmm. Cute and sad at the sametime. But, there was a question. How was he going to get home when I wasn’t there yet???? He had no idea what the weather was outside. Thankfully, one of the aids brought him back to his room. I unpacked the goodies in his room. He couldn’t wait to try the cookies. I also brought two huge blueberry muffins, homemade by the Amish for breakfast. Since he ate dinner, he wasn’t hungry for the grinder. I purchased a lobster roll for my dinner. But before I could sit down, he had opened the chocolate chip cookies and he gave me a small piece to try. They were still warm from the oven and it melted in your mouth. Within seconds I realized that this was a huge mistake. This time the pain and itch returned with such vengeance I had to sit down immediately. The pain more than I ever had before. Hubby knew what was happening and asked if I had my pills and I nodded yes. He was able to get my purse and handed it to me. He had water on the cart. I proceeded to take one benadryl and two chlortabs. I had to pop two more benadryls before the pain and the itch subsided. I was able to say hello to everyone in Trivia and said I would be leaving shortly. That’s the last I remember. I awoke at 10:15 pm, grabbed my things and drove home. However, the head nurse/office mgr. was still there and hubby told him what happened. He gave me his cell phone number and asked that I call when I got home, which I did. I also remembered that I had left the grinder for hubby on the bureau and mentioned this to him. He said he would put it in their refrigerator and he will have it for lunch. And now you know the rest of the story. I awoke just a few minutes ago. Must have fallen asleep at the computer. I think I will get some more shuteye. This time in bed. No pain. No itch. The swelling on my jawline is gone. Happy person I am. Have not had an attack like this in years. Will write more either today or tomorrow. Take care and enjoy the day.
Let Poppy out back if you still have triple digits unless you get him some booties. The hot sun on the pavement not conducive to paws. You may want to purchase a kiddie pool for your backyard at night. The racoons love it and some cats enjoy the water as well. -
Sheba, hello. What plans do you have for the weekend?
Hopefully something fun.
Today I hiked late since it was so hot, a young coyote crossed my path. Everyone around here is so used to seeing them. It was interesting because I spoke with some regulars along the path. It was nice once set and dusk set in. Next time, I must remember the bug spray.
Yes, still feeling a bit sick but am hopeful it will be gone soon.Sounds like Mr. Oddie is doing better. Good news today.

Happy Friday to you. Up early today since I had a few places to stop on the way to mom’s. Her and sis are fine. Since it’s warm, I skipped the tea and had a soft drink🥤 and we sat and talked. Since it’s National Mac and Cheese day, one of my favorites, that’s what I’ll be making for dinner.🍲 To be honest, I never met a carbohydrate I didn’t like.😮
Hope your heat wave eases up, very humid here.🔥🤪 Saw the groundhog today and I have a deer who has jumped the fence three times this week.🦌 I must have some delicious weeds and bushes.
Love the puppy pics.😍 Hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

@Sheba🌺🌺🌺
Hello Sheba and happy Friday to you and your hubby. I hope this day finds you and Poppy doing well and enjoying Summer.
It’s a hot afternoon and the Sun is shining. The sky is a pretty blue and has huge fluffy white clouds. I love this time of year, but not so much the extreme high heat. I prefer the temperatures to feel in the eighties.
I am not sure what’s for dinner yet. Haven’t decided if cooking or having hubby pick something up. Perhaps fried cat fish and some fruit.
Here’s wishing you and your hubby a great weekend 🚴♀️ 🚵♂️
Take care Sheba 🌹

I will start the game off today before I leave the house. I may take the Kindle with me so I can enjoy part of the game unless I leave prior, which doesn’t happen too often. I just got off the phone where I purchased last night’s dinner and thanked them for a lovely meal. Last night really came in handy after finding everything on the floor with dishes and glasses shattered. I have no idea when that happened and why his roommate did not press the button for him. I did all that first thing when I was able to locate the buzzer. Also, thank goodness for the food I brought. He ate everything. Today I will be going to the Farmer’s Market and also will either stop at Costco or Culver’s for delicious ice cream.
I also placed a call to the Head Nurse/Unit Mgr to relay what happened yesterday. I do not get mad often, but today, I’m as mad as a hornet, as the saying goes. When the person in charge leaves for the day, the others use the “I don’t care attitude.” There are times when I wish I could change venues, and this is one of those days. No excuse not to change a patient’s position so they can eat. And, no excuse not to have something else on hand especially when accidents do occur. Thank goodness for restaurants nearby that I can go to in case something like this ever happens again.
By the way, speaking of Culver’s. Love their salads. And their homemade ice cream/custard, yum. Well, I am now on my way to a shower and hope to be on my way within the next half hour. Have a great day and hopefully, I will see you in Trivia tonight.
Hope you get some needed rain and those triple digits come down. We are at 90 something with high humidity. We are also in a terrible drought situation. This was predicted two years ago. See you soon.

The Importance of Seeing the Good in All
There is a perceptible energetic shift that takes place when we choose to see the good in all.
Our perception shapes the lives we lead because the universe adjusts itself almost instantly to our expectations. When we look for negativity, we are bound to come across it in abundance. Conversely, we create positive energy when we endeavor to see the goodness around us. As easy as it is to criticize the people and situations that frustrate or hurt us, we do ourselves a disservice in the process. It is important to see the good in all as there are blessings hiding in every aspect of our outer reality and the potential for grace exists in all human beings. When our lives are flooded with challenges, grief, and pain, we may be tempted to believe that some individuals or incidents are simply bad. But if we look for the good in all, good reveals itself to us, easing our doubts and reminding us that the universe is a place of balance.
There is a perceptible energetic shift that takes place when we choose to see the good. The unnecessary tension that comes from dwelling on negativity fades away and is replaced by sympathetic tolerance. Though loss still grieves us, we recognize the beginning of a new phase with fresh opportunities. Each new challenge becomes another chance to prove ourselves, and we learn to show great patience in the face of difficulty. There are few pleasures greater than gazing outward and seeing beauty, wisdom, and harmony. These are the attributes of the universe that help us to cope when we encounter their opposing forces. AMEN! 🌹✨
