Girls another glitch going on I don’t know what to do. I will be back later.

Hi Sheba. Hang in there. The problem could be the extreme heat and storms that most people in your area and beyond are experiencing. Also the sunspots could be the problem and if the two are coming together, hmm…..It could also be Spectrum or in HSN’s case the Satellites or Xfinity/Comcast. Both of these could be off the network due to storms or whatever. Just be patient and when these storms pass, you should be up and running.

Finally, Terminix showed up and left about an hour ago. Three huge holes in our yard that have been taken care of. Hopefully, this will all be over soon. Cannot clean anything until we are sure that the critters have been captured. By the way, Terminix gave a good thumbs up on the lanai. That area I will get into over the weekend and get it ready for hubby. I still have not unpacked the rugs for the lanai. They are in our living room still rolled up. Both are waterproofed and supposedly dry fast. I am watching the tropics like a hawk. Quite scary out there. I will definitely find some other place to stay and hopefully, that place will not wait until the last minute to say “OOPS.”

It is hot and humid on the Gulf. Fan in Master Bedroom going full speed. Hopefully, either tomorrow or Friday the A/C will be working. Sleeping has been sporadic because of the heat. Temp in the house has fluctuated between 83 and 92 degrees. Hubby has asked for me to stay at the rehab. So cute. But, the van has become my sanctuary when I need to “cool” off.

Thank you for your post. Yeah it is hot all over rarely do I get cranky for no reason.
Daughter is back on her feet been on meds for four days it is a five day course.

Daughter drove for a milkshake this kid is is perfect shape and eat well and she is
young with no pre existing condition I guess stuff happens when you are at a concert.

Oodie let me know how things goes with your husband visit I don’t know where this
post will land.

Love the gifs. I did not venture out to see hubby. Very tired, so will get much needed rest. Terminix will return in a few days. They need to wait on the ducts for the A/C. Then they will use the wire around the foundation. Hopefully, this will keep the critters out permanently. When I start the real cleaning process, will check all areas of t he house for holes or where the critters can come in. Unfortunately, I will need to redo all the cabinets and that includes the entire pantry area. All cabinets with pots and pans and covers need to be recleaned as all dishes and glassware. Tomorrow is garbage and recycle. Have quite a few things to put out.

Friday is Trivia. Have no idea what is happening with this week. It went all too fast. I will bring the Android with me and hopefully, will be able to start everyone off. I will be at the Rehab early to see how hubby faired with the eye exam and then maybe run to MV with all the info. His appointment is around 8 or 9 in the morning. Next week sometime I will see if the rehab can take him to the Optical place for new frames.

Take it easy with this heat and humidity. Our temp today was in the 90s and with the humidity it’s just another day of triple digits.

Hi and a good afternoon. We have a breeze this afternoon but it is still hot and humid. Triple digits for sure. I received t he outdoor furniture and I love it. The only thing it needs are some ottomans. Instead of cleaning indoors, spent some time outdoors so I can move the furniture from behind the van to a spot closer to the entrance of the house. Once situated I will take a picture, afterall, it is hubby’s birthday present and will show it to him on that day or the next. He has an eye exam on Friday.

Terminix is a no show. Since the ground is still saturated, the tech for the A/C will be here either Thursday or Friday. The lanai person was here and his work is outstanding. He will return to do the overhang and downspouts that were never completed by the people we contracted with.

It is now after 4 pm and I need to get a move on to the rehab. I will get changed and then leave. Not sure if he will need another dinner and since I was too busy to prepare anything, guess it will be: “Have van will travel.” I will move the furniture to an area before leaving.

Sheba, hello. there was lots of traffic on the way to the airport. Tons. At one point we had 14 miles to go and the maps stated 1 hour to get there. Honestly, I was glad my husband drove. Some of the terminal signs are in the Sunset so almost impossible to read. There may have been a baseball game going on as well. Well it is par for the course. My son arrived home with some fun adventures.

We are cooling down and I hope it continues. Your triple digits are intense. But won’t be here for much longer, hopefully. Hope your daughter is doing well with Covid.

I am keeping an eye on our daughter she is doing alright and on the right meds.
Daughter is being seen by her private doctor we don’t do home testing when you
have had a extensive hospital test. This is only day 3 of the meds. So far so good.

Hey enjoy your evening and your son being home. My mom is not happy about daughter
having covid-19. I told mom I will be careful coming to Colorado. I will be very careful.

You Are Not Crazy

Sometimes as adults, we just need a time out to refocus and gather ourselves before starting out again.

Most of us feel a little crazy from time to time. Periods of high stress can make us feel like we’re losing it, as can being surrounded by people whose values are very different from our own. Losing a significant relationship and moving into a new life situation are other events that can cause us to feel off kilter. Circumstances like these recur in our lives, and they naturally affect our mental stability. The symptoms of our state of mind can range from having no recollection of putting our car keys where we eventually find them, to wondering if we’re seeing things clearly when everyone around us seems to be in denial of what’s going on right in front of their eyes. For most of us, the key to survival at times like these is to step back, take a deep breath, and regain our composure. Then we can decide what course of action to take.

Sometimes a time-out does the trick. We take a day off from whatever is making us feel crazy and, like magic, we feel in our right mind again. Talking to an objective friend can also help. We begin to see what it is about the situation that destabilizes us, and we can make changes from there. At other times, if the situation is particularly sticky, we may need to seek professional help. Meeting with someone who understands the way the human mind reacts to stress, loss, and difficulty can make us feel less alone and more supported. A therapist or a spiritual counselor can give us techniques that help bring us back to a sane state of mind so that we can affect useful changes. They can also mirror our basic goodness, helping us to see that we are actually okay.

The main purpose of the wake-up call that feeling crazy provides is to let us know that something in our lives is out of balance. Confirm for yourself that you are capable of creating a sane and peaceful reality for yourself. Try to remember that most people have felt, at one time or another, that they are losing it. You deserve a life that helps you thrive. Try and take some steps today to help you achieve more balance and a little less crazy. AMEN! ✨✨

I am sorry to hear your daughter has Covid-19. It’s been going around, and it seems to be on the raise again. Something that we will need to live with and yet it scares me at the same time.

The heat is still horrendous, humidity high and today a hot wind.🌞

We spent the weekend with friends I haven’t seen since 2008. They live in Virginia, came down to Disney on vacation. They were best man and maid of honor at our wedding.
Since hubby worked in Virginia for five years after retiring from the Navy, he was able to see the often. While I stayed in Jacksonville while he worked in Virginia.
It was fun to get together, enjoy meals and good conversations.

I am just a concerned mom making sure our daughter is alright. Covid-19 can change
from day to day. So far she is like her parents and is fighting this beast. I still mask up when in
the general public and I keep my hands clean.

in a four pack and are washable these masks have kept me safe for years.

Very warm in OZ triple digits all week.

I am about to have a Perlier Shower and some ice cold watermelon we brought two at

I am glad your husband is improving in many areas. Oodie OZ is in triple digits as I type
this note to you.

Our youngest daughter has Covid-19 she is fully vaxxed and got it at an indoor Concert
in Georgia. We are zooming and she is working from home today. So far some mild coughing
and headache she seems to be coming out of it. I am making sure she eats and drinks
plenty of liquids she feels sleepy. My husband was sleepy when we had Covid-19 I was not.
So she is going to finish working do a quick run and she is going to take her meds and
lay down for a bit.

Trying to call my neighbor who lives in Palm Springs they are having some issues with
the weather. Well who is not having an issue with weather some are flooding and some
are just plain hot. ✨😎

Oodie Taci did post last night seems to be alright but today is another day. ✨

Today I expected the Lanai person who was a no show. The outdoor furniture was scheduled for delivery between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM.. Unfortunately he came while I was at the Lab. Luckily he phoned and will try tomorrow.

I have the overhead fan running in the bedroom. The Tech should be here tomorrow. Not sure when. Suffice to say I will be home all day. The lanai person phoned and apologized about today and will be here between 9 and 9:30 AM. Terminix said t hey will be at our home between 3 and 5 PM. L left a message that those hours are not conducive.

While waiting for the tech at the laboratory this morning I picked up a Health Magazine and started to read it. One of the articles was about knee reconstructive surgery. The article mentioned that most orthopedists say surgery is the best way to go. But after reading this article I’m not so sure. Seems there is a new medical thing in which they can rejuvenate the cartilage and surrounding tissue by using the person’s own blood. It’s not for everyone, but in my husband’s case may be worth a try. Within weeks the swelling is down and the person can walk. It’s not an overnight thing. It does take a few weeks. Sounds promising if it’s true. I will be researching this and the best part is the physician is in our area.

Looks like we had a bit of a rain event this afternoon. Still our temp and humidity means triple digits as well. I do use a refrigerator in the van and also our huge freezer bags from Costco. I also purchased through Amazon another type of freezer bag which sits on the D-Best without a problem. Loads of compartments, all zippered. Even a zipper area that makes this thing huge by another 2 or more inches. It’s been a life saver when bringing hubby a meal. You know those long take home food things at Costco. Fits inside this bag without a hitch. Was so surprised. May get another one.

So sorry to hear your youngest daughter has Covid. Florida is again being hard hit and so I have resorted to wearing a mask when out and about. I’ve had it twice and again it has no charm. Glad she is feeling better. I hope she is not overdoing it. Also, she should not return to work in an office until she gets the OK from her physician. It takes about a week to 10 days for the virus to leave your system. Also, some do go longer. Just because she is feeling better does not mean it’s over. She could still be a carrier to the next person. Best to take another Covid test to be sure.

Glad your niece is unharmd by the Tropical Storm. We really didn’t have much weather issues as the storm went West before arriving, we lucked out but PS not so much.
Lots of people around here hike. It’s popular because it’s so accessible with lots of options.
My sons flight out of Europe was cancelled, he was booked on another flight but now he’ll arrive in SD much later than expected. My hubs trip was also rescheduled so we can go together for the pick up. Yay!

Hot and humid today but not as hot as you! Don’t think we will reach triple digits.😩 As I type this, watching three deer in my yard eating the leaves on my bushes. Must be really tasty since they have to jump the fence to get in.🦌 Trees, weeds and woods all over but my yard is better.

Hope your daughter has a mild case.🤞 I guess it will never be gone, just another variant like the flu. My husband has had it twice already (that we know of). Need to get some new home tests.

Not too much planned this week. Hair cut appointment and meeting up with mom and sis before they leave on Saturday. Also stop to see my friend who had the surgery.

Our daughter had to have two Covid-19 tests one was a bit more detailed and that’s when
it came back positive with some issues for her. i.e. headaches and feeling very tired.
So far she is alright tonight but tomorrow is another day. Daughter has never had covid
and is fully vaxxed. I will be glad when this is over for her she is working from home so
that is very good. I told her turn off the computer and get some sleep.

Wishing you a nice evening I know our A/C bill will be insane along with many others
across these United States. I love the deer just want them to hop the fence and go back
into the woods. ✨Many schools are closing early all week due to the triple digits.

Completion

The period of completion, rather than being just an act of finality, is also one of transition.

Life is a collage of beginnings and endings that run together like still-wet paint. Yet before we can begin any new phase in life, we must sometimes first achieve closure to the current stage we are in. That’s because many of life’s experiences call for closure. Often, we cannot see the significance of an event or importance of a lesson until we have reached closure. Or, we may have completed a certain phase in life or path of learning and want to honor that ending. It is this sense of completion that frees us to open the door to new beginnings. Closure serves to tie up or sever loose ends, quiets the mind even when questions have been left unanswered, signifies the end of an experience, and acknowledges that a change has taken place.

The period of completion, rather than being just an act of finality, is also one of transition. When we seek closure, what we really want is an understanding of what has happened and an opportunity to derive what lessons we can from an experience. Without closure, there is no resolution and we are left to grieve, relive old memories to the point of frustration, or remain forever connected to people from our past. A sense of completion regarding a situation may also result when we accept that we have done our best. If you can’t officially achieve closure with someone, you can create completion by participating in a closure ritual. Write a farewell letter to that person and then burn your note during a ceremony. This ritual allows you to consciously honor and appreciate what has taken place between you and release the experience so you can move forward.

Closure can help you let go of feelings of anger or uncertainty regarding your past even as you honor your experience – whether good or bad – as a necessary step on your life’s path. Closure allows you to emotionally lay to rest issues and feelings that may be weighing down your spirit. When you create closure, you affirm that you have done what was needed, are wiser because of your experience, and are ready for whatever life wants to bring you next. AMEN! ✨🌹

The A/C is still not working. Have no idea when the tech will return. Suffice to say tomorrow is a very busy day. I have the lanai person coming in the morning. Lab test also in the AM.. I need to contact Motor Vehicle Department concerning a late fee because the Opthamologist will be at the rehab on the 25th. Funny, I had mentioned to the head nurse that hubby needed an eye exam and I was making an appointment with the Optical place we go to occasionally. At that point he mentioned why not use the one at rehab. I thought that was a great idea. I kept asking when and over a month later that person will be there on the 25th. I do not think hubby will be driving in the near future, but he can also ask for an ID. If there is a time when he will be able to sit behind the wheel, then he will need to be retested. Also, tomorrow, I have a three piece set being delivered for the front of our home. I’ve been looking for something for hubby. There are times that he would love nothing better than to relax outdoors before putting his feet up on the lanai. Oh, almost forgot. I need to contact the orthopedist to see if therapy may help with him being able to walk and stand on that leg. Need to do something if reconstruction of the knee is not possible.

Tuesday I have Terminix for most of the day. They will be doing some outdoor work and then will check indoors. They told me not to lift a finger or start/continue cleaning. I will start again after they leave.

I brought hubby a bagel with cream cheese, onion and lox. Loved it, though he left some for tomorrow. He is eating better. I am overjoyed that everything is working (kidneys, bladder and prostate). Just a non invasive thing on the bladder which will bring him above what he has been doing. The surgery one day and the next the catheter is removed. My only question is how he will be able to go to the bathroom on his own if he cannot walk. Or from a wheelchair to the commode. Me thinks that physical therapy may be the answer.

We had quite a storm this evening while I was visiting hubby. My back started to really hurt and I thought it would be a good move to return home. The nurse happened to come in and I mentioned that I was about to leave. She made we look out the window. Torrential rain. The driveway was flooded. I had no choice but to wait it out. Made it home about an hour later. Looks like we received the tail end of the storm that will be hitting Texas and Mexico sometime tomorrow or Tuesday. It was also quite windy.

On your electrical. Remember that the surge is usually between Noon and 5pm. I still have the A/C on, but put it at 80 degrees for those 5 hours or so. The A/C may still run, but at a slower pace. Have a great evening. No stars or moon tonight on our end. Hope xango is OK. Alco concerned with TACI and her family.

What have you decided about the Palm tree earrings?

Well, my understanding is the storm has moved along. 🙂 We had humidity (very muggie) and various rainfall from light to a brief downpour. No lightning, and no thunder.
Somewhere around Ojai, reported a 5.6 earthquake which we did not feel. You might want to check on your friend (prior neighbor) who moved to PS. I think they had a lot of rain and weather issues. No worries about the airport trip now unless the area has flooding. The airport has a lot of construction going on. That’s a whole other thing. haha.
