Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I think FBN may have lost additional eye sight and though his machine can read what we say, he may be too heartbroken to answer. I do know that there is some headway being made on Macular Degeneration. And what I am also hearing is that no matter what stage you are in, that it will work for all.
I did see hubby today and the first thing I noticed was the empty bed in the room. Seems his roommate was given a house that is not far from the rehab. He doesn’t have a driver’s license, so not sure how he will be able to prepare anything to eat. Hubby was very talkative and was relieved that he was on his own. He is now in full charge of the remote.
Today I spent doing office chores. I had a long conversation with our Insurance Company and they do not understand why they are no longer paying. I will need to make copies of everything I needed to pay out of pocket. Spoke with the head nurse/unit mgr. and he suggested that I speak with Administration tomorrow after hubby’s procedure. He has started to move more in bed and though in tons of pain, is trying to move that leg and knee. It will be a huge upward battle. Today was a real good day.
And, speaking of Heidi. My hubby loves her pieces. I have no idea if she is still able to use the Swarovski crystals. About a year ago they stopped selling to vendors and wanted to keep everything in house. From articles I read at the time, this was a decision of the new President, who is a family member. I also read that the vendors had to sell off everything by a certain date. Items that were not sold had to be packed and shipped to the family. How true this is, is anyone’s guess, because I have seen their jewelry being sold as if nothing happened. Anyway, I’m hoping that Heidi is still using their stones for the many projects she has in the works. Her artistry really amazes me. I purchased the “Glamourous Gardenia” necklace. The first one had the middle portion being loose in the box. I returned it and another was sent and it is truly a beautiful piece and the stones look so real. I have been complimented wherever I go and that includes the Farmer’s Market. If I didn’t know better, I would say that the center stones look like Swiss Blue topaz. The pearls are breathtaking.
Speaking of the Farmer’s Market. The family comes from Lancaster, Pa. and the surrounding towns. The food is all homemade and for once I do not have to spend the time reading labels. They do try their best to keep the prices down and there are notes everywhere when they have no choice but to pass the cost on to the consumer. I have a feeling that some of them are the cousins to Ollie’s because the notes sound like the original owner. Ollie’s did get their start near Lancaster and when we head North we do stop at the original store. Gabes is another store we love. It used to be called Gabriel’s. The first store was in York and then they opened another one in Allentown. Like Ollie’s, they are spreading out more and we do stop at their other locations on the way North. I am hoping that they will eventually be in Florida. I used to think that TJ Maxx and Marshall”s along with Christmas Tree Shops were the lowest around. Not anymore. Gabes is a fun store. Like Ollie’s, Gabes purchases from Liquidation sales and keep the costs down as much as possible. I am always looking for a bargain.
Today is supposed to be rain. There is an 80% chance in the afternoon. Temperature at 4am is 76 degrees with humidity over that. Tampa and where xango lives, get more rain than us. I think xango is West of Tampa and we are more south. This time I am hoping that the weather people are right. We do need a good rain event and this could be one of them.
Take care Sheba and I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday. I will post later on hubby and the procedure. We will not have any results until the 8th. I am hoping that the catheter can come out. Both of us will be extremely happy. It’s good to see him smiling.
