Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

It was sunny this morning but around 1 pm the dark clouds started to show. An hour later on my way to hubby’s appointment it started to drizzle. I arrived to the parking lot with 10 minutes to spare. The van from the Rehab was already there. There was no parking anywhere. It took me an extra 5 minutes to find parking quite a distance from the medical building. The ride he had r eturned to the Rehab. The waiting room was jammed packed. Hubby was in his wheelchair and gave me a huge smile when I arrived. I had to sign some authorization forms and then we waited about an hour before we were called. The first thing the nurses did was to take an urine sample. I t came back cloudy. They also could t ell that the catheter had not been changed in a while. As you know that has been my main cry. Hubby now has a memory and he said No, it had not been changed. That could be the reason why he tries to take it out. He mentioned that it was uncomfortable. It didn’t hurt. Just didn’t feel right. Anyway, the appointment was scratched and a new one will be made. I told them to contact the Rehab..
By the time the Rehab arrived to take hubby back, the rain was coming down real hard. No thunder or lightning, just a huge amount of rain. Leaving the parking lot from the 4th balcony (I am not exaggerating), I made several wrong turns and almost ended up in Tampa. Streets were flooded on both sides, but I was able to find my way an hour or so later.
Hubby was in the TV room when I arrived. He was by himself. He was quite worried and I told him about making several incorrect t urns. Dinner was served and it really looked good. However, it was cold and he didn’t want it. It always surprises me that they don’t offer an alternative, but then again, who knows???? So hubby didn’t eat breakfast and missed lunch. I did open his chocolat e drink in hopes te will drink it later. Tomorrow, he asked for Asian food.
That I know he will enjoy. Now to play catch up in the kitchen. Because of the holiday on Monday, regular garbage pickup was yesterday. So garbage and recycle will be Friday this week. I will just do the garbage and the rest will wait until next week.
More rain expected tomorrow. This is now a tropical depression that won’t amount to anything. However, this rain we do need. It won’t quelch the drought situation, but, for now, it is a good start. Have a nice walk with. Poppy. No moon or stars tonight. in our neck of the woods. This storm will head for the Atlantic and will go out to sea. Tomorrow is the first day of the hurricane season. Let’s hope that it won’t be as bad as last year.

@Sheba 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Hello Sheba, we are having a few drops of rain only. Had lots of thunder but no real rain.
The Hibiscus are again filled with buds. We had a day with lots of wind and Sun.Made me some chicken breasts cut into midium pieces. Dipped in a little flour, little breadcrumbs, little grated cheese, pinch of oregano, thyme and salt. Sautéed in olive oil and butter.
Diced potatoes in a cast iron skillet. And a small salad, Romain lettuce and tomatoes, oregano infused in olive oil.
Hubby had his usual diet food he makes on weekends. Which keeps his glucose on track.
I am glad you are back to normal and feeling good 😊.Take care Sheba 🌹 🙂 💕 💜 ❤️

Hi in Oz, hope you had a good day. Another sunny, warm one in the ‘burgh.🌞🔥 Ran around all day doing errands.🏃♀️ No matter which direction you go here there is road construction. ‘Tis the season. And if it’s not the roads, it’s pipelines, tree cutting, power lines, etc. I have one appointment tomorrow and hope to stay home after that.
Mom and sis are fine, mom just got a new window replaced and a new shrub planted. Never quiet at her house. Hubs either hitting the golf course or driving range, he golfs with the league this Sunday.🏌️♂️⛳
Your pics yesterday were so adorable, loved all the bunnies!🥰 Sending you and Poppy hugs and kisses.🤗🥰💖

Centering Ourselves
All too often, our lives can be spread too thin, and it becomes important to gather our thoughts and center ourselves to become whole again.
When our thoughts are scattered in several directions at once and we are no longer conscious of what we are doing or why, it is time to center ourselves. When we center ourselves, we begin by acknowledging that we have become spread too thin and we are no longer unified inside. Our thoughts might be out of sync with our feelings, and our actions may be out of sync with both. The main signs that we need to center ourselves are scattered thoughts and a feeling of disconnection or numbness, as if we are no longer able to take anything in. In addition, we may feel unfocused and not present in our bodies. Centering ourselves is a way of coming to terms with all the different energies within us and drawing them back into ourselves.
Centering yourself means that you are working from or being aware of the core of your being in the solar plexus area of your body. At first it may not make sense, but as you progress you will understand what this feels like. We naturally know how to center ourselves when we take a deep breath, for example, before making a big announcement or doing something big. Another way to center ourselves is to sit down and engage in breath meditation. We can start by simply getting into a comfortable upright position and noticing as our breath enters and leaves our bodies. Our breath flows into our center and out from our center, and this process can serve as a template for all of our interactions in the world. In conversations, we can take what our friends are saying into the center of our beings and respond from the center. Our whole lives mirror this ebb and flow of energy that begins and ends at the center of ourselves. If we follow this ebb and flow, we are in harmony with the universe, and when we find we are out of harmony, we can always come back into balance by sitting down and observing our breath.
When we sit down to center ourselves we can imagine that we are gathering our straying thoughts and energies back into ourselves, the way a mother duck gathers her babies around her. We can also visualize ourselves casting a net and pulling all the disparate parts of ourselves back to the center of our being, creating a sense of fluid integration. From this place of centeredness, we can begin again, directing ourselves outward in a more intentional way. AMEN! ✨✨
