Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.

Hello to you on this Tuesday evening. I hope you are well and was able to see lots of butterflies 🦋.
All is good here, just a few hiccups came upon my way. Walking along and all of the sudden life happens.
We had some more rain, and now the grass is taller, greener and the plants look great.Have the baby Possum come back for more food? They are cute.

Hubby’s appointment from last week was postponed because the catheter was dirty and he had an infection. At that time a culture was taken and I received a phone call from Urology with the antibiotic that was necessary and that they recommended. However, I gave them the phone number for the head nurse/mgr with Rehab. This was Friday, early afternoon. en I arrived at the rehab I did meet with the Head Nurse and he stated that he had not received a phone call from Urology. This meant that hubby would not be able to take the antibiotic before Monday. I was livid. I did see hubby last night and looked for the Head Nurse who wasn’t around. So, this morning I again contacted Urology and all info had been received just moments prior to my phone call. Hubby’s next appointment for the procedure is a week from tomorrow. I am hoping that the antibiotic works in time.
Yesterday I worked outside going after the weeds around the Hibiscus bushes and the grass like weeds around the bushes in the front. There is a pickup for these on Wednesdays. I still have one more area to trim and that one is a huge debate. There is a weed like tree growing inside the area of the hibiscus. That weed cannot come out unless I get rid of that bush. It’s a huge decision since the flowers that bloom are huge and so beautiful. There is another bush near the driveway that I’m also debating. When that bush gets to be about waist high, you cannot see the traffic coming towards you. I will, most likely, have that one removed and in place, plant some flowers. Or, purchase something in a nice container from Lowes.
I did see hubby last night. I did not bring a care package this time. Usually the food is pretty good Mondays through Wednesdays. However, even though hubby was eating, he mentioned that the food was cold. This is not the first time he complained about this. Most of the time it’s the fault of the food cart and the nurses on the floor. The food cart stands for many minutes and later it is still there while the aides pour the drinks for each patient. as well as including desserts. I do not know how often I have reported this. The last time there was a special cart that kept the food warmed. I haven’t seen it since. Also, my back gave way yesterday. There were absolutely no chairs around. So I asked. Yep, they had one. One of those metal chairs that fold. I tried sitting on the edge of hubby’s bed to no avail. His roommate offered me his wheel chair which I did use. However, I left before 7:30pm and used the excuse to get the mail. I was really bent over and could not wait to get home. Luckily, the driver’s side in the van has a seat that is conducive. On a better note: Hubby was able to move more. He asked me to help him get to the middle of the bed. His left leg was dangling on the left side and the right knee was bent. He knew I was in pain, however, I decided to help. There was no one on the floor and I did not wish to wait. I have to admit that I held on to his right hand and with his left he was able to push himself to the center. AMAZING😃😃🌴🌴🌴😃😃. i can tell he is really trying.

If the medical staff gives your husband the antibiotic in his vein in a drip bag he should
be fine. I am stunned they have not started him on his meds. I don’t know how you do it.I won’t say more as I don’t want to upset you but that medicine is vital for an infection which

Stop Comparing Yourself to Others
There is nobody else like you in the world. So stop searching for faults and start celebrating your uniqueness.
You are unique. There is no one else like you in the entire universe. In honor of your unique self, it is good to acknowledge and embrace the special qualities that make you the person that you are. One way to do this is to not compare yourself with other people.
It is human nature to want to see how we measure up in comparison to others, especially if we think they are better than us or have more of something that we want. But it is not a good use of our time to compare ourselves with others because there is no one like us and this makes us incomparable. It is sometimes easier to feel like we are deficient in comparison to other people rather than taking responsibility for our own progress. It takes more courage to be self-referential and look at ourselves to see whether we are measuring up to our standards or meeting our full potential. Each of us has very special gifts, and we are here for very specific reasons. We each have a life purpose to fulfill and with this comes the lessons that we must learn and the circumstances that we must go through in order to evolve as spiritual beings. To compare our lives to other people’s lives when we have no idea of what they are here to learn or fulfill doesn’t benefit anyone — especially you.
Instead, if we can accept ourselves, appreciate the special talents and qualities that we alone possess, and realize that each of us is going through certain kinds of experiences for a reason, we are less likely to focus so much on what other people have or are doing. Realizing and valuing our uniqueness enables us to bring out the best in ourselves so we can get on with living, rather than preoccupying ourselves with meaningless comparisons. By no longer comparing yourself to others, you will see how much you have and how special you are. AMEN!

I went through some older items to clear out of the house.
Our parents generation had a lot of collections. They always thought these things would be of value some day but the younger generation is not like this and don’t collect.
We are still cool and overcast which is all good. -
