Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I did talk to my cousin just for a moment as she could not talk well. All she want is to
go home to her home. ✨I feel for her.Thank you for the prayers OZ is cold in the twenties.
Lisa Marie Presley passed away today at the tender age of 54. I am very upset
because this is hitting close to home for me may she RIP. -
If I Can Dream
Song by Elvis PresleyThere must be lights burning brighter somewhere
Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue
If I can dream of a better land
Where all my brothers walk hand in hand
Tell me why, oh why, oh why can’t my dream come true
Oh why
There must be peace and understanding sometime
Strong winds of promise that will blow away the doubt and fear
If I can dream of a warmer sun
Where hope keeps shining on everyone
Tell me why, oh why, oh why won’t that sun appear
We’re lost in a cloud
With too much rain
We’re trapped in a world
That’s troubled with pain
But as long as a man
Has the strength to dream
He can redeem his soul and fly
Deep in my heart there’s a trembling question
Still I am sure that the answer, answer’s gonna come somehow
Out there in the dark, there’s a beckoning candle, yeah
And while I can think, while I can talk
While I can stand, while I can walk
While I can dream
Oh, please let my dream
Come true
Right now
Let it come true right now
Oh yeah -
RIP Lisa Marie Presley 🌹

You have a packed schedule. Take it easy. I wish you had someone with you at home.
The babies are just cute and I had never seen a toddler like that. So cute.
Hey Lisa Marie Presley has passed from a heart attack at 54. My heart goes out
to her family. I have a lot of family in Memphis so this is hitting close to home. -
@Sheba 2011
Love the gifs of the cutest babes. Is that a hint to your girls??????😀😀😀😀
I forgot to mention that I received Heidi’s packages today. Yes, packages. I ordered two pins. Bought the horse on sale and it reminds me of the Oriental horse that we see at various stores. The other is the dancer. Both magnificently done and not one stone out of place or in the box. I was concerned with the horse. It was shipped from Seattle and every day there seemed to be a reason that it was backlogged. It took over two weeks to arrive. The dancer, two or three days. The dancer is unbelievable. She captured the movement brilliantly. Love both.
Just remembered. Another appointment with MV on the license. I hope they send me to the right building this time. Oh yes, tomorrow is Trivia. I should be there.

What a busy day. I was up early to continue working on the MB. Hubby not feeling well. Phone rang at 8am from the Electrician’s Office to confirm that we are keeping the appointment. I could not answer in time. Tripped over something in the middle of the floor. Twisted my right hip and saw stars. I am fine and returned the call. The electrician was not supposed to be here before noon. He was here at 10:30 AM. Did not like what he saw of the wiring in the lanai or in the shed. Took a look at our panel and went Yikes. So, guess we need a new panel. Told me not to use the den until he returns or if the roofer comes let them look at it structurally. He thinks the den is not sound, but will wait on the workers. Then the neighbor across the street came over. He said he had checked the wiring in the shed and he will be able to do some of the repairs. He is the one who owns his own construction business. I promised hubby that we would go out for lunch so I could rest. Tired is not a word I like to use, but, I am. Oh yes, our physician contacted us around 9:15 AM. It was the Assistant and I just love her. We made an appointment for hubby on Wednesday next week in the afternoon. She asked about the ER and how everything went. I gave her an earful. I was told there was valet parking. There was none. The hospital permanently got rid of this. I told her how many times I had to go around the parking lot before I actually found a spot. The EMT told me to go through the main doors of the outpatient area. I did so only to find out that I had to turn around and go through the main entrance to the outside and then walk to the ER which was equivalent to 4 or 5 blocks from where I was. Got to the ER and was given directions to hubby. There were no room numbers posted in the ER. Finally found where I was supposed to be. Hubby was discharged three or four hours later. There was a DR. no name tag, just a tag that said DR. For all I knew she could have been an imposter. There was no info regarding the discharge. Could he take his meds, what type of meal should I prepare. The list goes on and on. Oh yes, I was told to bring an overnight bag with a change of clothes. He was still in PJs. I did so. But he was discharged wearing a hospital gown. Guess we couldn’t go dancing…….They gave me a bag with his shoes.
Today he was looking for his shoes. They were still in the bag from the hospital. Found something of a discharge paper inside. No one said anything about it. Now our physician’s office know why we go five to eight miles out of our way to another hospital. Both hospitals are affiliated. The one we go to will not let us leave until I have all the info and know what to do. That’s the hospital where the knee surgery was to take place and where I go for my mams.Tonight we will sleep on our beachy theme. The mattress cover is on top of the bed getting some air to let it rise about two inches or more. Will put the new bottom sheet on and then will figure out how the bed rail will go. I have a neighbor two houses away that can help if I fail.
Because of the problem with hubby’s knee and some other problems, I’ve let the housework go on the back burner so to speak. Then came the visits with the orthopedist followed by 3 days of physical therapy for 3 months. Then the days for surgery and the prep prior. Now I am behind the eight ball and trying to make up for loss time. I’ve made progress. I am aiming for the end of February to head North. Normally, we would wait. But Easter and Passover are very early this year. The first Sunday in April is Easter and I think either one or two days prior is Passover. The migration of people heading North will begin the first week of March. Bumper to bumper traffic through our Interstate and also on I-95. Hotels are probably booked already in anticipation of getting from point A to B or whatever. I will not make any reservations until we know the weather. February is the worse month for snow and in some cases freezing temps. I also want this house in order before we leave in approximately 5 weeks. Oh my, I really could use an awaycation……….

@Sheba
Hello Sheba, how is your busy afternoon going?
Our temperatures have been good, not hot and not cold. That will change after tomorrow, and I will have to cover my plants. That chicken and noodles sure smells good. I am sure your hubby will walk into your home with a big smile.
Today I made some black beans, it’s a staple in Brazil but I don’t make it often. It’s a dish I can only eat twice and after that I don’t want it for a while. I made some Jasmine rice for and Cauliflower rice for hubby. How is your cousin progressing? I am sure it’s going to be a small step at a time. However she will get better, go forward and enjoy her life with time.
I remember reading your post a few days ago, you said Charlie visited you, that his weight is good and that the medication is working for him. That is real good news, Charlie sounds like such a happy cat.
Sending you prayers and hugs and tonyour cousin too. Take care Sheba.

So glad you are feeling better. I think I may have a slight cold or allergies, stuffed nose and sneezing last two days.🤧 Rainy day here, getting colder overnight with a dusting of snow.❄ The baby above is adorable and it looks like someone put eyeliner on her.
I also enjoy having fun with the wine images.🍷 Lord knows we all need some laughs these days.😄
We have a local bakery called Oakmont Bakery in the ‘burgh and they are the best in the area. My husband had lunch today with his sister and she gave him the most unusual cakes. Two 4″ layer cakes, one with chocolate icing and the layers inside are chocolate mousse and cheesecake. The other is an almond torte outside with white cake inside. OMG, I died and went to heaven!🎂🍰😇 Had two tiny slices of each and now too full to eat dinner.😝

How You Affect Others Daily
You never know whose life you are affecting, big or small.
As the pace and fullness of modern life serve to isolate us from one another, the contact we do share becomes vastly more significant. We unconsciously absorb each other’s energy, adopting the temperament of those with whom we share close quarters, and find ourselves changed after the briefest encounters. Everything we do or say has the potential to affect not only the individuals we live, work, and play with but also those we’ve just met. Though we may never know the impact we have had or the scope of our influence, accepting and understanding that our attitudes and choices will affect others can help us remember to conduct ourselves with grace at all times. When we seek always to be friendly, helpful, and responsive, we effortlessly create an atmosphere around ourselves that is both uplifting and inspiring.
Most people rarely give thought to the effect they have had or will have on others. When we take a few moments to contemplate how our individual modes of being affect the people we spend time with each day, we come one step closer to seeing ourselves through the eyes of others. By asking ourselves whether those we encounter walk away feeling appreciated, respected, and liked, we can heighten our awareness of the effect we ultimately have. Something as simple as a smile given freely can temporarily brighten a person’s entire world. Our value-driven conduct may inspire others to consider whether their own lives are reflective of their values. A word of advice can help others see life in an entirely new fashion. And small gestures of kindness can even prove to those embittered by the world that goodness still exists. By simply being ourselves, we influence other’s lives in both subtle and life-altering ways.
To ensure that the effect we have is positive, we must strive to stay true to ourselves while realizing that it is the demeanor we project and not the quality of our wondrous inner landscapes that people see. Thus, as we interact with others, how we behave can be as important as who we are. If we project our passion for life, our warmth, and our tolerance in our facial features, voice, and choice of words, every person who enters our circle of influence will leave our presence feeling at peace with themselves and with us. You never know whose life you are affecting, big or small. Try to remember this as you go out into the world each day.
AMEN! ✨✨

Good day in the ‘burgh. 😎Just do you today and have a great one. I am glad you don’t
have to cook. I know how you feel I do love to cook but sometimes it’s nice to eat something
someone else cooked. ✨We are cold and have snow in OZ. I am fine with that nothing too big just covering the
ground but it is nice to see falling from the sky. 🌹 The moon was beautiful last night and my
body was in sync with the moon. I slept very well. 😜My headache is easing up and that makes me happy.
Blowing a hug to you and Jake’s Canvas. 😜😘How is your mom and sister?
Hey thanks for being such a good sport when it comes to the wine images.
You are hilarious I never laughed so loud. Hubby always comes to see if I am alright. 😜😘 -
Good morning in S. California I love covering the Awards Shows you do see things
people do not wear everyday and that is what makes it fun. Taci having been in the
biz some of those outfits are just publicity for the designers and whatever the actor
is promoting. Taci you are right there where the action is and I am sure you have seen
a lot. 😜🌹Good luck with your organization of your spare room I know all too well how that feels. 😜
I am working on a project similar to yours. My cousin is alright today and she will be in
the hospital for some time. I worry because she has to have a service for her husband.Happy Trials To You. 🎶🎶
