Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@Sheba
Hello Sheba, how are you doing? It’s a partly cloudy day here and a warm day nevertheless with temperatures in mid eighties.
I don’t think you would need to fly as far as Brazil to reach some warm weather. Come to Florida, it’s warm and not getting cold until the end of the month.A high school friend of mine, who attended our wedding and still is our friend. Sends me good morning every day via WhatsApp by sending Gifs. He also sends it to me throughout the day, along with pictures of himself, his wife and grown son. He sent me one today that’s a man on top on a mountain looking at an even higher mountain with this saying. Sometimes you have to go through difficult roads to reach wonderful destinations. I thought of sharing this with you.
This friend of mine as I said attended our wedding, at that time he was dating a beautiful young girl. She was already blind due to Diabetes, but was otherwise alright managing it. As the years went by she became more and more sick, having to have kidney transplant. Then a wheelchair, still she was not able to stay on this Earth. My friend stood by her throughout all her suffering. Taking care of her. I remember going up to Virginia in 1993 on vacation. We met for dinner ahd she was so very sick. She didn’t like going through a bump on the road, so he would advise her in advance there is a bump coming up. Such as throughout the neighborhood or train tracks. That stuck with me all these years.
And when she passed away in the mid nineties he was so hurt. He couldn’t stay here anymore and went back to Ecuador. There he found someone to love and who loves him, and now he has a son who served in the Ecuadorian Navy and now is in college. My friend and I are the same age, his son I believe is in his twenties.Stay warm and take care Sheba.

Thanks for the update. Funny, I had checked on line Monday. Offices were closed, but the trash pickup remained the same. However, I didn’t believe what I read and it was only three days to the next pickup. Now, I will go out and bring in the barrels. Next is dinner and it’s one of those days where soup sounds awfully good. By the way, to change the subject for a minute. Try the hotdogs from Costco in the refrigerator section. They are delicious. We freeze the entire package and only take what we need. They are great in the microwave or you can let them thaw and grill or air fry. I find the taste better than the ones they make and they are the same.
Today was a beautiful day with sun and no humidity. Temps were in the low to mid 70s. But, it was windy and not a good day to wash some wicker and baskets along with the kitchen chart. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better and I will add the A/C filter to the list. More of our lanai ceiling came down. Have not gone into the den area but will check it tomorrow. Funny, the roof people phoned but did not leave a message. I sent an e-mail. So far no answer. I did mention that there is still no electrical working outside which may mean a longer wait.
Still researching washers and dryers. Well, first thing first. Dinner and bringing in the barrels. Hubby is sound asleep and that is what I don’t like. I will wait and see how things go the next couple of days. Our physician may receive another phone call next week. But, I will also check with the pharmacist on the one medication that I question.

Good afternoon in Oz. Pretty nice day here but we will be getting your cold and snow starting tomorrow through the weekend. Can’t complain, it is January.
Went out and looked at furniture yesterday, saw a few things I liked. Developed a headache last evening, didn’t even watch most of the hockey game. Took a couple pills and fell asleep.
I guess my brain was overworked from its normal state of “limbo”!
I feel fine today.
Did some cleaning around the house today so hubs ran out to pick up Chinese for dinner so I don’t have to cook.
Always works for me.
I will be watching on Saturday, PM will have his “A” game ready.
Stay warm inside with Poppy and Charlie, sending hugs to all in your house.

Don’t forget Monday was a Federal Holiday and your trash may be delayed for a day.
Oodie my trash and other bin will be picked up tomorrow. I will check back in later. -
Hi and yes I’m off and on looking at three appliances. Since we need a new panel, would be nice to have all three delivered at the same time. He will probably be here either next week or the following. I did find a couple of washers and dryers. However, I wish the pictures would show the panel of both. It’s funny, in a way, I kept thinking the washer wasn’t doing the job. Kept finding remnants of detergent and fabric softener embedded which meant to do another rinse cycle. Just happy that all the appliances went at the same time. I think the two hurricanes had something to do with this, and it will be hard to prove.
I did a recycle and garbage pickup this morning. So far no one has shown. Thats Ok. Gives me time to add a few more items.
Eggs are very expensive here. Picked up egg whites instead. Today I made an omelet with onion, ham and yellow peppers. I actually made too much and divided it for the two of us. Hubby liked it (which brings me to the cereal ad with Mikey.
I cannot thank you enough for the brithday gifs. The cake looked delicious and it was the best one which had 0 calories. Love when that happens
Well, now back to cleaning. Hubby is still in bed. Think I will tackle the dirty dishes and then some (there’s a cabinet door that won’t close. Hmm, wonder if there is a pan or a pot I can do without…….

Action and Effect
The principle of cause and effect is the truth that allows us to better ourselves and the world around us.
All motive and action affects the cosmos in some way. The principle of cause and effect is the truth that allows us to change ourselves and the world around us for the better. However, this same universal law is also at work when change is not at the forefront of our minds. Our intentions flow forever outward in the form of energy, affecting both the people closest to us and billions of individuals we will likely never meet. For that reason, we should strive always to speak, think, and behave with great thoughtfulness and compassion. The virtues we choose to embody can inspire joy and integrity in the lives of countless people, whether we touch their existence directly or not.
The influence we wield is infinite. In an effort to internalize our conscious understanding of the nature of cause and effect, we can never truly know how our thoughts, emotions, words, or actions will manifest themselves on the larger universal stage because it is likely that the farthest-reaching effects will fall outside the range of our perception. We can only look to the guidance of our conscience, which will help us determine whether each of our choices is contributing to humanity’s illumination or setting the stage for unintended troubles. When we are in doubt, we need only remember that the cultivation of altruism inevitably leads to a harvest of goodwill and grace. Motivated by a sincere desire to spread goodness, we will be naturally drawn to those choices that will help us express our commitment to universal well-being.
Nothing you do, however minor or mundane, is ever exempt from the rules of cause and effect. From the moment of your birth, you have served as an agent of change, setting forces beyond your comprehension into motion across the surface of the earth and beyond. You can exert conscious control over this transformative energy simply by examining your intentions and endeavoring always to promote peace, positive energy, and passion in your ideas and actions. While you may never fully comprehend the extent of your purposefully heartfelt influence, you can rest assured that it will be universally felt. Amen!

Good day in Florida here is to a warmer day. We are in the lower 30’s in OZ and we have
some snow on the way. Yikes!I hope your day is going well. I am drinking some warm tea and my bones feel real good.
One day at a time with all that is going on in my family.
Xango I have never said this before but on a cold day like this I would trade an afternoon
for a beach in Brazil.
