What an exciting game last night. Happy for all in Denver.🎉🎆 Tonight will be the last hockey game if Vegas wins. Like the Nuggets, neither team has ever won a Stanley Cup so I will be happy for either one.😊

Today was nice in the morning and afternoon. Now we are getting showers off and on into tomorrow morning.🌧 Looks like the CA weather will be pretty good for the US Open this week.⛳ Found out today that the younger niece won her tournament yesterday and was quoted in the local paper.👏 The older one came in second in her age group.👏

I think it’s cute that you have a possum.🦡 Hopefully it will keep the bears away, lol!🐻 Hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

I just got off the phone with the Head Nurse. Hubby’s appointment is not until 4pm, which means I will fetch the grinder for him. Tomorrow is the last day of the sale. I will also look at the fruit. I'[m actually not sure if he will be eating. He will have an early breakfast and after that no food, just in case he needs anesthesia. I may pick up some soup just in case. Then again, I could make chicken soup with some stuff in it since I now have a handy Thermos. I’ll make the decision when I am up and about.

I just read xango’s post and I will second it by saying it is hot hot hot. Though the humidity is low, it still feels warmer than 92 degrees. No rain for today. Tomorrow is up in the air.

Guess the baby told the mom that you are something special. I surmise you have another visitor. They do like fruits and veggies along with cat food. Some people have them as pets along with ferrets. I don’t think I want one in the house. Also hope you had that chat with the neighbor who lets the cats out all night. Not good. They can get all kinds of diseases, especially if they fight with others.

Guess I will get ready to see hubby. Need to shower and dress. Maybe someday I will have a 4 legged friend. Take care and hope you are having a great day.

Good afternoon Sheba😊, it’s a hot, hot day here. It’s 91 degrees, humidity 53% and it feels like 98. I looked outside and my plants were so very dry. After I finished changing the bed, I had to go out and water the plants. Didn’t want to lose any to that heat and dryness.
I just came back in and guzzler down a whole bottle of water with electrolytes. 😄

The grass cutting people were here again early this morning, woke me up with all the noise.
I rolled over and went back to sleep. Woke up about an hour and a half later and got up.

Being June 13th, it’s St. Anthony Day. I always take about St. Anthony to my family. I have a cousin who lives in Portugal. She is Brazilian, sister of my cousin in Brazil whom I talk with every day. This cousin moved to Portugal a few years back. She had been studying for the driver’s test , I believe it’s to obtain a permit. And she would do well at home on the computer answering the questions, but would become extremely nervous when it came to take the test in the department office. She had tried several items and failed. So I told her to ask Saint Anthony, and the very first time after asking Saint Anthony She passed. 😊

Might bake some bread today, not sure if I will have the energy ☺️

Rethinking Complaining

When we spend all of our time complaining, we are in constant “destroy” mode, instead of “building” mode.

We all know someone who has elevated the process of complaining to a high art. Sometimes funny, sometimes exhausting, these people have the ability to find a problem just about anywhere. In its more evolved form, complaining is simply the ability to see what’s not working, in one’s own life or in the external world, and it can be quite useful if followed to its natural conclusion — finding a solution and applying it. However, many of us don’t get that far, and we find that complaining has become an end in itself. In small doses, this is not a big problem, but if complaining has become a huge part of our identities, it may be time to take a good look at how we are spending our energy.

Complaining is a person’s way of acknowledging that they are not happy with the way things are. In a metaphorical way, when we complain or criticize, we are tearing down an undesirable structure in order to make room for something new. But if all we do is tear down, never bothering to summon the creative energy required to create something new, we are not fulfilling the process. In fact, we are at risk of becoming a stagnant and destructive force in our own lives and in the lives of the people we love. Another issue with complaining is that we sometimes tend to focus on other people, whom we can’t change, as a way of deflecting attention from the one person we can change — ourselves. So transforming complaining into something useful is a twofold process that begins with turning our critical eye to look at things we can actually do something about and then taking positive action.

When we find ourselves complaining, the last thing we need to do is get down on ourselves. Instead, we can begin by noticing that we are in the mode of wanting to make some changes. But rather than lashing out at somebody or an organization, we can look for an appropriate place to channel this energy — not our neighbor’s house but possibly parts of our own. Finally, we can ask ourselves the positive question: What would I like to create in the place of whatever it is I want to tear down? When we do this, we channel a negative habit into a creative process, thus using our energy to change the world around us in a positive way. AMEN! ✨✨

What I was asking about I-95 is this seems to be a long highway I hear Oodie talk
about it all the time. I think this is how she gets from Florida to the North.
News have it that it will take a long time to fix and I am glad you are not

Oz is alright today that three day of rain was great. I am glad the fire has let up for
the Cities that were affected I have never seen anything like that.

Very busy day here in OZ and it is a nice morning. Mr. Poppy has already been around
the way. We will go again later in the day. I now have a mommy Possum visiting me
late at night she is after water she is a big one too. YIKES! I guess as long as I don’t get
a bear I am alright. 😎
