Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Very late doing this thread this evening. We are like 20 degrees.
I had to let Poppy out to run to the tree. ✨✨
I will see you in the morning light and Oodiebom did check in. Read her message.
Sweet dreams my friend. 🌹

I am half sleep but I am writing this to you late. I am glad your husband is doing better.
I don’t know how you do everything but you do. ✨We are cold and Poppy had to make a run to tree so I decided to check in before
going back to bed. This is a very cold night in OZ. I put out extra cat food for the cats.I don’t want them to be hungry I talked to Charlie’s people and he is fine. Charlie’s mother
said he look up when he heard my voice he knows my voice well you’d think after
eleven years he would know my voice. ✨✨Hey single digits here Charlie will not be outside for a while but I am going to their house
and sit by the fireplace with him. I don’t mind the two big dogs at all.Oodie check in tomorrow when you can. This too shall pass. I am concerned about FBN135
too I have known him a long time. I have always known his name. 🌹✨All we want is for him to get well so many missing people in our wonderful Community.
Hey sleep well see ya in Trivia someone can start it for you I am sure. 😎
Thank you for thinking of my cousin she still cannot walk and is in PT. This is the cousin who
just got back from Spain and France I am so glad she and her husband had that time.
May he RIP and may she make a full recovery. 🌹I have been on the phone long distance
with many relatives we have her back. ✨✨ -
I am finally home and had another bite of my grinder. Hubby is coughing up a storm, but mentioned the pills that I take which helps to make t he cough non existent. They put my sinus meds, which is over the counter, on his list of meds. I also mentioned Manuka honey and I was asked to bring it tomorrow. But, something hot to drink such as tea also helps to curtail the cough. A chest x-ray was taken at time of admission and everything was OK. No cancer and definitely not pneumonia. Wonder if it’s something else triggering the allergy.
I did stop for a washer and dryer and finally ordered one. I set a delivery date for the 31st. I should know tomorrow when the electrician will be here. Thankfully, I can do away with the liquid detergent.
Well, it’s supposed to be cold tonight. Not sure if cold is under 50, but will check before venturing out to cover the plants.
Hope you get rid of that cold. Hope your cousin is doing better. Having no hubby around here, makes things very lonely. Today was a good day.Tomorrow I will be stopping at Aldi’s and will purchase some orange juice with pulp and bring some in a water bottle to the hospital. All his food is now mush to see if that will stop the cough. Also will meet with a speech therapist to see if there is a way to do other swallowing techniques. I am now feeling tired, so will say good night to all and may you have pleasant dreams. Tomorrow is Trivia and right now, not sure if I will make it. No word yet from FBN. Wonder if his eyesight was affected by Covid. I sincerely hope he is OK.

So glad to hear your husband is better. Hope they are performing as many tests possible to find the cause of his problems. Continued prayers for you both.🙏 I’m sure the food lifted his spirits. Don’t do too much, take everything one day at a time. Hugs!🤗

My day sounds like yours, chilly, on and off snow showers and small projects around the house. Husband picked up hoagies for dinner so no cooking.🌯😊 How are your egg prices in Oz? Just spent $9.00 for two dozen and that was at the cheaper store.🥚😮
Finalized some plans with my nephew for Saturday. It will be so good to see him, he is like a son to us.💕 Another tough game tonight, our #1 goalie is out again.😣 They need to find someone with more stamina, he is always injured.🥅🩹
Still praying for your cousin, it will be ongoing just like her rehab. My heart breaks for her💔 and I am wishing for something good to give her confidence in the future.😌 Hope you are feeling better, I think mom has a cold.😤 Sending love to you and Poppy.🙌

Had time to do the kitchen and what is left is the sink area . Will do dishes later and the floor. Next is breakfast bar and dining area. Basically it’s progressing. Electrician phoned this morning. Just waiting on a few more items He will be here next week. Not sure which day, but will get a move on.
Hubby has improved. I think I arrived too late for case mgmt. I did pick an Italian grinder and a chicken Parma without the sauce. Both delicious. Hubby was happy. I included a banana., a diet Stevie soda, and a waffle from costco. At the moment he is sleeping. No twitching. He is calm today. Also brought toothpaste, brush and floss. May write more later.

@Sheba
Hello Sheba, yesterday we were warm, today it’s cool. Going to get down to 43 tonight or early in the morning. That means I will need to cover the herbs.
Brazil in the Southern regions is very hot. Their Winter was very cold and now Summer is extremely hot.
Hoping to hear some good news from Oodiebom about her husband. Hopefully he is in a room by now.
The Christmas or Thanksgiving Cactus are in full bloom. I have several and four of them are on the coffee table which gets the Sun from the patio door every day.
I water them with rice water, the water I wash my rice. And they are filled with flowers. So are the ones that don’t get Sun every day, those not so much flowers.Stay warm Sheba.

Disarming the Know-It-All
People that are know-it-alls are simply stuck in a pattern and may actually have feelings of low self worth.
Most of us have encountered a person in our lives who can accurately be referred to as a know-it-all. This person seems to know everything about anything that gets brought up and tends to dominate the conversation. They don’t take well to being questioned, and they have a hard time ever admitting that they were wrong.
Being around a know-it-all is inevitably tiring because there is no shared energy between the two of you. Rather, you become an audience member to this person’s need to be the center of attention. Attention and respect are probably the two things this person most longs for, and at some point in their lives, they learned that knowing it all was the way to get those needs met. Over time, they have become stuck in this pattern, regardless of the fact that it is no longer working. They may feel afraid of the experience of listening, being receptive, or learning something new, because it’s so unfamiliar.
On the one hand, when we see the childlike need underneath the know-it-all’s mask of confidence, we feel compassion for the person, and we may tolerate their one-sided approach to conversation out of a desire not to hurt their feelings. On the other hand, we may be feeling drained and tempted to avoid this person altogether. In the middle of these two possible ways of feeling, we may actually like this person and wish for a closer relationship. If we come from a place of kindness, we might attempt to bridge the gap that this person’s habitual way of relating creates. Simply expressing a desire to be closer may open their heart, and give you a chance to ask for what you need in the relationship—a chance to contribute. Amen! ✨✨
