Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi and thanks for the update. Since hubby has so many things going on, will pass on the Secure for now. I have no intention to return the pkg, and will see how things go. I just wanted something to tie him over to the next meal and thus far the care packages seem to work. Right now I just wish the swelling in his left knee would go down. He was yelling today and I just happened to be sitting in a chair not even near him. I will contact the orthopedist once I know how the urinary track is doing. I’m taking it one step at a time.
This weather pattern for Florida usually brings a rain event daily. Seems like we are following a similar pattern to last year. I just hope we do not get the hurricanes again.
I have been working on the house a couple of hours each day. Unfortunately, my kitchen is a huge mess. Due to the fact we had a rodent problem, Terminix recommended that I take every cabinet apart and wash each shelf with a solution of vinegar and water. However, I decided to use Clean Boss instead since it gets rid of 99% of the bacteria as well as Covid. My lanai has been redone and all that is left to do is to move all the furnishings outside and to wash the floor. I am hoping that there will be a cool down over the weekend so I can tackle the area. I bought the small power washer that was a TS several weeks ago. I ordered rugs for the area almost a year ago and cannot wait to try them out. They are both different and depict the beach either by color or with a wave of color that makes it more interesting. If the measurements are incorrect I can always carry it to the Cape. I will keep you posted.
Again, thank you for your post. Though the house is topsy turvy, I am having fun redoing it. When everything is where it should be I will be contacting painters to redo the interior. Hopefully, it will be finished before hubby returns.

Oodie, do you ever wonder how you worked with so much going on and to do?
Glad your husband had his procedure and hope this can be wrapped up soon so he can get back home. Florida has certainly heated up.
fyi, I posted about my inquiry with customer service. They were informative and answered quickly. -
Sheba, Hello and hope you had a great day. Sounds like Oz and Fl are hot. We are still a bit cool and overcast. I’ll take it. The whole beware of crime, corruption, pick pockets in Spain is scary. Not that the US is much different these days. We are leaning towards September travels.
Regarding the AL Bars, I e-mailed their customer service and got some information. Apparently inulin is a fiber and may cause some gastric issues. Since 1 bar is 2 servings, the suggestion was to try smaller portions and build up some tolerance. I might try that at a later date. The bars expire in about a year so there is time. haha.
I sprayed the area around the plants with a vinegar, dish soap and water mixture but I hope to find out what is effective. -
The post I started last night went poof while I was writing. Have no idea why. Was too tired to start over.
I have had bad headaches all week and for some reason the meds are not hitting. I assume it is sinus due to lack of oxygen because of the heat and humidity. I will make a phone call to our primary physician tomorrow. It’s time for an appointment anyway.
Hubby had the procedure yesterday. The only problem was a phone call from the facility asking where I was. Mentioned that I was almost out the door when the phone rang. They expected me to be there half an hour early. Funny, no one mentioned this to me. As it turned out, I was only 15 minutes late and I just had one form to do for signature. When the test was over, they kept hubby for awhile to make sure there were no after affects. They helped him into his wheelchair, gave him an antibiotic and then we waited for his ride. I ran home to use the library and then went on to the Farmer’s Market where I picked up a garden salad for me and also a tuna salad sandwich. Hubby’s Italian grinder was on sale so purchased a whole one. I also picked up apricots and cubed watermelon and honeydew in a container and pink pineapple also cubed. All in all I was in and out within a half hour. Before loading the car, I separated everything that was going to hubby into a plastic bag from the market. The rest went into our refrigerated container.
It took longer than expected to reach the Rehab. There was an accident that included over 10 vehicles. As far as I could tell no one was hurt. Plenty of police cars surrounding the vehicles so I suspect there were other problems as well. By the time I reached hubby’s room, he was falling asleep in his wheelchair. The nurses did come by to help him undress and get into bed, but he refused. He wasn’t hungry for the grinder, but asked for the fruit. He loved the pink pineapple. I asked about the procedure. He said it was quite interesting. No, it didn’t hurt. We will get the results a week from Friday and that will also include the ultrasound. Hopefully, everything can be corrected with medication. He feels that the catheter will be there forever. I surely hope not.
Today was a ME day. Had a hair appointment and the cut was absolutely wonderful. Shorter hair never looked so good. It was beginning to look straggly due to the fact that my hair is naturally curly. She did a great job not only with the cut, but also with a new hair style. A new me. Made me feel great.
It is very hot hot and humid. The air you can cut it with a knife. With our temps in the 90s and the humidity at 96% it felt way over 100 degrees. Rain was in the forecast for tomorrow. Notice I said WAS. Now, no rain is expected. It gave us a 17% chance. What ever happened to the 95% chance I will never know.
By the way, some cats do get along with the possums. You just never know. Glad the mama had water and something to eat. Enjoy the rest of your evening. Yep, my A/C is on also.
