Brrrr and BRRR…….I had to go out to the shed this afternoon to check on a few things. I timed the visit. Two minutes. I returned to the house before the buzzer went off. All I can say it was freezing cold. The temp was in the low 40s. I decided to leave the plants covered. Stuck my nose out the front door just a few seconds ago. Seems a bit warmer.

I should be hearing from the electrician sometime this week for an appointment to do the necessary repairs. The roof will probably start sometime this week. Hubby is doing better and sleeping less. He has to take the prescripts, but I make him eat first. That seems to be working. He is also more coherent (knock on wood). I started putting two and two together after this last visit to the ER. There is one pill he takes that could make him drowsy and a bit light headed. I hate the side effects of prescription drugs and this is one of them. Three days ago I started giving him the morning meds after eating. There is a huge difference. He has a doctor’s appointment on Wednesday and I will mention this. This med was a requirement prior to the surgery. By the time we arrived for check in he was in a sleep mode, though his eyes were opened. Once the check in was over and done with, we had quite a walk to the out patient area and the waiting room where I had to pick up a phone and let the nurses know we were there. He was in a stupor. Who knew it could have been this one med. Dementia???? Not sure.
The jury is still out on this one, though all tests say normal brain activity.

I took a look at xango’s video. Sounds OK. However, I do find that using the saline solution nose spray does help. They even have one with an antihistamine. It helps along with a warm shower.

Before I forget. Love hot cereal when it’s cold. However, sometimes I get tired of Oatmeal and Cream of Wheat. The Oriental’s use rice. They add hot water to rice to make it a bit thick and then add one or more of the following: cooked fish, pork, chicken, beef and nuts. Sometimes chick peas. It’s called Congee. When we were in Hong Kong, our hotel had this as a breakfast item. I thought it was eel and it wasn’t until our waiter came over and brought a bowl that I found out it wasn’t eel at all. Great taste with scallions (include the greens). Hmm….I just made myself hungry. Congee for breakfast.
