Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours!!💖 Hope you had a lovely day. We didn’t go out so I just cooked some steaks for dinner.
A warm, sunny day in the ‘burgh, tomorrow the same.🌞 Another late game so I may only see the first period. That’s a good thing since the way they’ve been playing.☹
Have a warm, cozy evening. Valentine hugs and kisses to you and Poppy.🤗💕🥰

I would like to apologize for being thick headed. You were absolutely right that the rehab is near or on Rte. 64 and 20th. The Rehab Center sign is close enough to the street to be seen just prior to the two entrances. The outside is pretty run down which shocked me after viewing the video and getting some additional info from the Case Managers at the hospital. The interior could use a face lift as well and maybe some new paint on the walls. I was disheartened, yet, I must admit that hubby is getting rehab twice or more per day including the weekends. He was able to get out of the wheelchair and stand a couple of times while his friend and I were there. The only thing I didn’t like was that he had a catheter because he was having problems that way which I now wonder if the virus he had also attacked the kidneys. I know I had some problems also. Spoke to the head nurse on the floor and she noticed that he was able to get out of bed on his own today for the first time since he arrived a week ago. So we are making progress. I also mentioned that I brought some sneakers and clothing and where to locate them. I also saw that hubby was wearing a sweatshirt, so will bring a couple with me tomorrow.
Noticed also that he had no toothbrush and I did bring one along with floss and a brush for in between the teeth and his posts. I already packed a couple of small tubes of toothpaste. There was no washstand or bathroom. I surmise they have to go outside of the room to do most things. I expected more from the rehab. Though I was able to watch several videos the place still needed an uplift. The plus is that he is only 15 minutes from home and maybe more minutes with traffic. His beard is gone and his hair has been cut. He looked fantastic. The other side of the coin is that he is getting the much needed therapy two or more times per da y that includes the weekends. He is sharing the room with another gentleman. Not sure if he gets visitors. Tomorrow I will be ordering a pizza and hope they can deliver it. Again, thanks for being here for me. At least you knew where I was going.Happy Valentine’s Day to you, hubby and your family. Hope you have a great day and many more where this came from.

Just getting over a sinus migraine. Will not be going to the rehab today, but will tomorrow. Hubby wants a pizza and I just have to see if one can be delivered to the rehab. If I do it myself, it will be cold by the time I get there. Though the drive is no more than 15 minutes from home, the traffic makes it longer. The pizza I rodered was chicken cordon bleu and it was delicious. Well, it still is. I just wish I could get my energy back. This is not at all like me. I usually can bounce back in no time. Thank goodness for Andrew’s Energy & Metabolism vitamins. It helps with the thyroid.
I just spoke to the nurse on the floor at the rehab. Hubby is using a catheter and I wanted to know why. Seems he couldn’t go and now I wonder if the virus he had attacked the kidney. The nurse said they are monitoring him very carefully. Today she noticed he was able to get out of bed on his own and to walk a bit. I noticed last night that he was able to stand without a problem. He did that twice while I was with him. His memory was awesome and he did his Nixon imitation while his friend was there. I hope he will be home in time to celebrate our anniversary next month. If not, so we will celebrate later. No big deal. As long as he is healthy that is all that matters.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours. It’s not the gifts that count, but being together on this day as well as the others that are important. On one hand I enjoy this day, on the other, dread looking at the prices that supposedly makes this day special. For me, everyday is Valentine’s Day. Everyday is a celebration to life. .

Letting People Know You Love Them
Love exists to be expressed, not withheld.
It’s easy to take our feelings for granted and to assume that the people we care about know how we feel about them. But while those we love are often quite cognizant of our feelings, saying “I love you” is a gift we should give to our loved ones whenever we can. Letting people know you love them is an important part of nurturing any kind of loving relationship. Few people tire of being told they are loved, and saying “I love you” can make a world of difference in someone’s life, take a relationship to a new level, or reaffirm and strengthen a steady bond. Everyone needs to hear the words “I love you.” Three simple words – I – Love – You. When you declare your love for someone you admit to them that you care for them in the most significant way.
It can be difficult to express your love using words, particularly if you grew up around people that never expressed their affection verbally. But you should never be afraid to say “I love you” or worry that doing so will thrust you into a position of excessive vulnerability. It is important to share your feelings with those that matter to you. Part of the fulfillment that comes with loving someone is telling them that you love them. Besides, love exists to be expressed, not withheld.
If you love someone, let them know. Don’t be afraid of the strength of your emotions or worry that your loved one won’t feel the same way. Besides, the words “I love you” are often best said to another without expectation of a return investment. As each one of us is filled with an abundance of love, there is never any worry that you’ll run out of love if your expression of love isn’t said back to you. Saying “I love you” is a gift of the heart sent directly via words to the heart of a recipient. Even though it may not always look that way, love from the heart is an offering that is always unconditional and given without strings attached. That is the true essence of the gift of “I love you.” AMEN! 😘💕🌹
