Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I am so glad your husband had a good medical report. My Step-Mother has diabetes
and I don’t think she weigh 100 pounds. Very tall and slim.Thank you for your heartfelt post I appreciate it. Well we are raining here in OZ.
I could not handle the cold wind so I sent Poppy to his spot in the back yard we have
a very large fenced in yard. I let him run to his heart’s content. Plus he has two girlfriends
who live next to our fence line. I did have Charlie the other day and he drank some water
and went upstairs and got into the soft bed he has three to chose from and went to sleep. ✨😎I could not love this cat if he were my own and I have had cats in my lifetime.💕
Glad you got out and I do hope you find your appliances and soon.
Now relax and enjoy the rest of your week and birthday. ✨✨✨

I’m so sorry that your cousin has to go through this especially when going through a recovery process from injuries suffered. It’s not easy, never is. I do not know if you ever read “The Five Stages of Grief” by Elizabeth Kubler Ross, but in a nutshell it includes the following: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. It’s not necessarily in that order. A person fluctuates between all five until acceptance. And, as you know, the grief is never ending especially when it comes to birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Right now, someone should be staying with your cousin through the night. She should not be alone. It’s difficult when you just get out of the hospital and you have your injuries to face. Not an easy task. I feel for you also going through the illnesses and deaths in your family. But, at the same time, through your grief, you are there along with the rest of the family. Call her often. Maybe do face time if that is all possible.
Our appointment with the physician went well. Hubby is off the diabetic meds for now. Most of his problems could be a sleeping disorder that could be caused by low blood sugar. We keep orange juice in the house all the time. I cannot drink the shelf ones due to the preservatives. He really enjoys Newman’s Own, which we cannot find anywhere in Florida. He has an appointment in a month and we will see how he is doing at that time. We were in the office over an hour. I still think there is one medication which makes him disoriented. But, will try this one first. After the appointment we headed for Costco for hotdogs. Neither one of us had eaten anything prior and the appointment was in the afternoon. It took us a long time on the interstate to reach our destination. Traffic was bumper to bumper heading North. Ocala is a little over three hours from our home, and I was thinking that would be our first stop. Now, not so sure. I am also looking at Kissimmee as an alternative. Traffic will be around Orlando, but there are many areas we could stop at to have fun and roam around before returning to the highway again. The route 4 corridor is always interesting. Christmas Tree Shops are off Exit 92 and from there it is a stones throw to 95, Daytona Flea Market and a few other stops along the way. This is what makes the trip so very interesting. I-75 is long and quite a bore, but I-10 has interesting foliage and is only 50 miles until we hit 295 and 95 for Georgia. I have decided that no matter what route taken, it will be more or less an awaycation.
Costco was busy, and I did walk around. Hubby stayed with his cart (the riding kind) at the food section. I was amazed that the book section was almost non existent. I think there were just two hardcovers and the rest were just one table of children’s books. People, like myself, were going up and down other aisles looking for cookbooks, softcovers, etc.. None. Guess I will try Sam’s and BJs. Not in love with BJs, but when we are North, that is all we have.
We missed the sale on the frig AGAIN. Both of us were tired to make a stop on the way home. Will try other places to see if they have restocked the one I would like to purchase. Hoping that President’s Day will bring some good sales, though I do not think our frig will last that long. And on top of everything our washer and dryer decided to stop working though I do not see a “On Strike” sign anywhere. C’est la vie. And as you always say, “This too, Shall Pass.”

Sheba, no words for all that you and your family are going through. Planning a funeral is difficult and it’s great your cousin has so much support.
Came home to find hubby on the roof. He replaced 2 tiles that slipped on one side of the house and the rest still in question as it’s near our solar panels. No water leaking through the house so all good there. Another rain is expected tomorrow. Then I think that is it. Hope your niece’s place was dry.
Hiked and some walkers said 3 coyotes just went by and up the hill I was planning to go up. I looked and sure enough one was on the hill looking at us. Yah, changed my plans… -
Keeping it warm. ✨✨🌹

@Sheba
Hello Sheba, no rain here only a partly cloudy day. But we did get to 76 degrees and I had the windows and patio door open again with a nice breeze.
I made rice and heated a container of oxtail from the freezer. Had that for lunch and dinner. Made hubby his usual and favorite, cauliflower rice shrimp and vegetables.
All prayers does help, I will continue to ask Saint Anthony to provide your cousin strength and courage. And to send your way some relief, to calm your nerves and bring you some peace things will get better. ❤️❤️
That cup of coffee smells wonderful, just in time for an afternoon cup of coffee.
Stay warm and take care Sheba. ❤️❤️❤️
