Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I brought the other half of the grinder and fruit along with sour cream and blueberries. He had a full dinner and wasn’t hungry for the grinder, but he did eat the blueberries in sour cream and loved every bite.
Hmm……now I wonder if what I had was Covid. I sincerely thought it was a bug caused by the draft of the A/C in the ER. Hubby was tested for Covid, but thankfully it was a virus and that is why I assumed mine was the same. I found the cough syrup with Manuka honey worked well. I purchased it from Amazon. However, now with the sinus season upon us, I am still coughing and found that my chlor-tabs works well. Actually, it seems like within seconds the cough is no more and stays that way for quite a while. I am feeling better, but wish the energy would return. I still have kitchen chores to do and to unblock the entry way to the house as well as the kitchen bar to redo. Not to worry. I won’t overdo.
Now the big question. Why does hubby fall out of bed???? This is a toughy. He doesn’t fall on a cruise or on our way North. He is fine with a Queen size bed on the Cape and the King in Ct.. He is fine in rehab and was OK while in the hospital. Now I wonder if he sleeps on the edge because he is questioning the amount of space on my side of the bed. I am thinking of purchasing a new bed that is king sized along with new end tables and dresser. It’s a huge question and I am not sure of the outcome. His bed in the hospital and in rehab is just a tad larger than a twin. Spoke with one of the nurses this evening and hubby is doing real well. It’s just the catheter thing that is holding him in rehab. Should have an answer by the end of the week. He is able to go to the bathroom on his own for other things. Maybe he just needs some time.
Well, I think I will hit the sack. Busy day tomorrow. I need to do double the work load since I played lazy all weekend. I just saw the weather report for you as well as for my homes up North. Please be careful tonighT. There is a possibility of strong storms and severe weather your way. The cool down here was short lived. We are back to 80 something with a bit of humidity but no rain for now and we could sure use it. Sinus is at full speed because of the Oak pollen. Hope your neighbors are on the mend. Soup, hot tea with ginger and lemon and sandwiches not on toasted bread or rolls. Salad and fruit were helpful. Having no one able to prepare a meal while I was under the weather was difficult. Also baked potato, sour cream and cottage cheese were my mainstays this time around and of course chicken soup.
Try to have a great evening. Be careful when you are out and about. Sleep well and may you have sweet dreams. Good night.

Sheba, losing a pet is hard. I know you feel the loss.
Last night we had hail. Yup, hail. Little chunks of ice sometime around 9:30 pm. So maybe I am tarpee instead of taci since we have some tarps on the roof top to cover the leak. Yah, hubby went back up there. More rain is on the way.
It’s a new week tomorrow. Hope it a great week. -
@Sheba
Hello Sheba, how are you feeling health wise?
I read your post last night, and it brought tears to my eyes. And all I did was read about Charlie in your many posts about him. I know how you are feeling, it’s like a piece of oneself is missing.
This past Jun (2022) completed one year since our ex-neighbor moved and give away all her four cats. I still miss the gray cat that would come by during the day. He would visit, stay for his naps have a meal and rest. But as the Sun would go down he would be screaming to go out the door. I enjoyed our naps together, I miss him still.I hope your neighbors get over Covid-19 soon. It’s so hard to have such an illness and go through the loss of a pet that’s part of one’s family.
Sheba it’s going to take time, but this too shall pass. Take care of yourself and wear your mask everywhere.❤️❤️❤️🌻🌻🌻

With tears in my eyes, I am so sorry to hear the news about Charlie.😥 It is never easy when our fur babies leave us and, like you with Sheba, a day doesn’t go past that I don’t think of Jake. I guess we can now add Charlie to our memories.💔 Like xango said, it’s so hard to get another one when you remember the heartbreak. Saying prayers that you will eventually have peace with your love of Charlie.🙏😌💖 He is now united with Sheba and Jake.🐶💕🐈

I lost my dog Sheba in 2011 hence my HSN name.Thank you for your condolences on Charlie the Cat. ✨✨
I have to say not a day goes by that I don’t think of Sheba. 🌹

Hey thank you again for all you have done in support of Charlie. I may take some soup to
the neighbors and run like Taci said. I am so glad we talk on the phone as well.Oodie they sounded real bad coughing and all and to have Charlie pass on all that.
Dear lord this is a bit much.Take your time driving and yeah you have a whole lot going on. The rain is making it
dark and damp so I am being careful when I go out. ✨✨Oodie when you said your A/C was on I almost passed out. LOL!
I have been crying off and on and I did not sleep well so we shall see how the day goes
Poppy is by my side. 💕🌹✨ -
Yes, this too, shall pass. Remembering Charlie and his funny antics will always put a smile on your face from today and onward. I also feel so bad for his parents who not only must cope with the loss but need to recover from Covid. Soup is the best food source and anything that is light. Most importantly, they must walk around so it does not turn into pneumonia. I have a feeling that Charlie caught some illness and had a fever that caused the seizure. Mensch had FIV and he lived two years beyond what he was supposed to. He enjoyed riding to and from Ct. but meowed us to death at stop signs and traffic lights. He could not understand why we weren’t moving. If we were in a traffic jam, his siren would go off. Not sure if it was loud enough for the passengers in the car in front to hear him, but I have to say it drove us crazy. So, memories will creep in and the smiles will take the place of the frowns.
I ate something that totally disagreed with me and now I must make up for the time lost. I’m Ok now. I did leave you a note last night. Hubby loved his grinder and I will bring the other half with me. I will also bring some grapes and honeydew since those are now gone. I did purchase blueberries and will mix some with sour cream. I just wish he would drink more liquids. I left a full bottle of water along with black cherry soda with stevia. His dinner came while I was there and while he was enjoying the grinder. He had macaroni and cheese with tomato on the side. I think he had ham salad on the plate as well. I did try it and he saw my pout. It was really salty. He tried it as well and said no thank you. He also had unsweetened iced tea and another drink, but I had to ask for a straw. I left shortly before 7 pm so I wouldn’t have to look for someone to open the door. After 7pm I also cannot call in, he can call out. But for some reason, the phone was no where to be seen. I will check today when I’m there. I should know in a day or so the result of the blood test from Friday.
This will be another busy week. I have Terminix Tuesday morning and also a delivery of a swivel chair for the MB. The MB is no where near ready for the chair so it will go into the living room for now. I hope to be back in the MB either Tuesday or Wednesday. Still waiting for a phone call as to when the flooring will be installed. That should be either this week or next. And, oh yes, the roofer needs to return. Not sure if I mentioned that there is an opening on the lanai where the roof should have been extended. Could not figure out how I got mosquito bites. Now I know. They are aware of the problem. Just do not know when they will be coming to do the repairs. Oh, almost forgot. I have an hour and a half for myself on Thursday. Hair appointment for a trim. Just hope I will have the strength to go.
Guess I will now go into a shower and then will get the care package going for hubby. Hope to be on my way within an hour. I will check in later to see how you are doing.
