Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@Sheba
Hello Sheba, having a good night’s sleep is quite wonderful. It provides much energy to the body and mind. I always feel lousy and can’t think straight if I don’t get enough sleep.
I think that your dream about Charlie was his spirit visiting you. Letting you know he will wait for you.
As I read your post you reminded me that I wanted to bake some bread today and completely forgot😀I had ordered several items from HSN, and this time they came in real fast. It originated from Piney Flats, TN and it arrived super fast.
Only thing is one of the items is incorrect, wrong size and color. This is my first time receiving wrong merchandise from HSN. And I personally absolutely dislike sending things back. I believe the last time I returned an item was many years ago. A very expensive pair of shoes from QVC that just didn’t fit.Waiting until mid-March to plant herbs and flowers. Making sure no extreme cold days will come this way. The Sage and Oregano kind of died back some. Still have some growing but not as much as the Summer.
Most likely Lowe’s will have all the herbs I want. And I will see what else they will have then.So glad your cold is better and almost gone.
Take care Sheba ❤️❤️❤️🌻🌻🌻 -
Good afternoon in Oz. The ‘burgh set another weather record for February. We only got 0.2 inches of snow for the whole month. Less than one inch, that is unheard of for us.😲 Last record was in 1909. My husband sure isn’t complaining, he has not had to start the snow blower yet this winter.😊
Took my SIL out for lunch today to get her out of the house for a few hours from helping her husband. We had a nice time and I know she appreciated it.💗
Hope Mike Sullivan has a good birthday with a win tonight. We have a two game winning streak, lol!😂 Long way to go yet.
Hope you continue to feel better.🤞 Lots of hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

Sheba, Happy Tuesday! Glad you slept well. Maybe it’s the cool weather and missing Charlie?
I barely slept.
Bought the Samantha Brown ts in black. Guess I was lucky to get it last night as it is sold out this morning. There were some colors calling but went with basic black. I had been looking for something like this for a while. Last trip I used a travel backpack for under the seat but it was hard to move around and find stuff. The zipper across style should be great plus it’s size is perfect. SB said isle seats have less space which I never knew before.
Yesterday a small younger coyote crossed the path to the houses along the trail and then came back through. I was walking with a friend who is rather oblivious so I am always on double awareness mode with her.
Glad Heidi is BACK! -
The dream with Charlie last night is to let you know that he is all right. I hope it helped. But, you will always miss this beautiful cat and the way he latched on to you and your hubby. This brings tears to my eyes as well.
I slept for a few hours last night and awoke around 3am. I decided to remove the boxes near the front door and thus moved them to the MB. Today I am finishing the kitchen area and then will do the breakfast bar. I will start the bedroom when this is done. Returned to bed about 4 am and Alexa woke me at 6:30 am. The people for laying the vinyl floor were here before 8:30am. The boudoir chair was delivered about the same time and I must admit I love it. It’s a beautiful shade of blue and will go with everything in the MD. So excited. Terminix was here at 11:30 am and there was nothing more that he could add. Just have to wait it out. I surmise he will do a vamoose when the frig is delivered next week. I still need to call the plumber and will do so after I catch up on some zzzzs. Not sure if I will visit hubby today. I told him yesterday that I may end up staying home.
I was really concerned with the vinyl floor. I could not recall what I picked out since the timing was at the beginning of the virus. But, as it turned out, it is really beautiful and offsets the other flooring really well. Some of the furniture is in the lanai area . These all need to me washed thoroughly before returning to the den. The couch and some of the furniture will look great when it all comes together. I’m really thrilled so far and one thing for sure there will be no more clutter in that room. Oh, one other thing. I had two vacuums out in our shed on shelving overhead. They got rained on during the two hurricanes. I thought for sure they would be dead in water (LOL), but I put one of them together this morning and plugged it in, and Lo and Behold, it works. I am beyond being ecstatic.
Lastly, I heard from our new health insurance company just a few minutes ago. I brought them up to date on my husband’s health issues and what he was exposed to while in the ER and finally when he was able to be moved to a private room. I also mentioned that if he needs to go to a hospital we will return to our number one pick and she understood. Rather than working against us, they now have the facts. I also mentioned that I did not know that the insurance would be dropping paying the rehab until 3 or 4 days after the fact when I saw the 5 page note on a table in my hubby’s room. He was very upset and I told him not to be, I would handle the situation. I guess I did.
The kitchen now beckons. I will relax after this is done. Then it will be the bar and following the MB. I need to declutter the desk so I can get the taxes started. Take care Sheba. I hope your virus is heading away from your system. All I can say is that it made me weak and there are times that I have to fight for strength. I now think you have what I had and it’s no fun. Have a great day and then some. It is nice and sunny here. Temp is in the mid 70s, low 80s. No humidity.

Avoiding the Center
Quiet time each day is so important, but many are so out of practice that it’s almost unnerving to be in stillness.
It’s funny to imagine our lives as something we spend a lot of time avoiding, because it seems like that would be impossible to do. Our lives consist of everything we engage in, from showering to sleeping, but also a lot of busy work that distracts us and keeps us from looking at our lives. Experiencing our life from the inside means taking time each day to simply be alone and quiet in the presence of our soul. Many of us are so out of practice that it’s almost unnerving to have a moment to ourselves. As a result, we may have stopped trying to carve out that time to take a seat at the center of our lives.
One of the reasons it can be uncomfortable to sit with ourselves is because when we do, we tend to open ourselves to an inner voice, which might question the way we’re living or some of the choices we’re making. Sometimes the voice reminds us of our secret, inner yearnings, dreams we thought we had forgotten. When we already feel overwhelmed by our busy schedules, the idea of hearing this voice can be exhausting. However, its reflections are the chords that connect us to our authentic selves, and they are the very things that make our lives worth living. When we continually avoid connecting with our life, we risk losing out on the very purpose of our existence.
To begin the process of being more present and less absent in your life, you might want to set aside just a few minutes each day to simply sit with yourself. This doesn’t mean watching a movie or reading a book, but taking time each day for self-examination to avoid the avoidance, to be with yourself in an open way. After a while, you may start to enjoy this part of the day so much that you make less busy work for yourself, so that you can spend more time at the center of your own life, rather than hovering like a planet around the sun. AMEN! ✨✨
