Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Winter in the ‘burgh, we had snow/ice overnight, windy and cold today.
Only about a half inch but husband had to shovel because of the ice on top. Above freezing with sun tomorrow.
Ran to Hallmark today, love that store. Got a card and bought me a huge bar of honey almond soap, toasted walnut pralines and cherry almond wax melts. Me and the house will be smelling lovely!
Getting nails done with mom and sis on Thursday
and I’m sure lunch after.
A few tough hockey games this week, I’ll last as long as they last.
I hope you and Poppy enjoyed your sunshine walk. Sending hugs your way.

Bad Days
We all have bad days and within these days is usually a gem of a gift waiting to be opened.
We all have days from time to time when it feels like the world is against us or that the chaos we are experiencing will never end. One negative circumstance seems to lead to another. You may wonder, on a bad day, whether anything in your life will ever go right again. But a bad day, like any other day, can be a gift. Having a bad day can show you that it is time to slow down, change course, or lighten up. A bad day can help you glean wisdom you might otherwise have overlooked or discounted. Bad days can certainly cause you to experience uncomfortable feelings you would prefer to avoid, yet a bad day may also give you a potent means to learn about yourself.
You may consider a bad day to be one where you’ve missing an important meeting because your car stalled, the dryer broke, and you received a piece of very bad news earlier in the morning. Multiple misfortunes that take place one after the other can leave us feeling vulnerable and intensely cognizant of our fragility. But bad days can only have a long-term negative effect on us if we let them. It is better to ask yourself what you can learn from these kinds of days. The state of your bad day may be an indicator that you need to stay in and hibernate or let go of your growing negativity.
Bad days contribute to the people we become. Though we may feel discouraged and distressed on our bad days, a bad day can teach us patience and perseverance. It is important to remember that your attitude drives your destiny and that one negative experience does not have to be the beginning of an ongoing stroke of bad luck. A bad day is memorable because it is one day among many good days – otherwise, we wouldn’t even bother to acknowledge it as a bad day. Know too, that everybody has bad days, you are not alone, the world is not against you. Tomorrow is guaranteed to be a brighter day. AMEN!

Good afternoon in Florida.
Glad you got some rain. Oz has the sun today.
Xango I do spend time with a neighbor across the street from me she is a professor at
a University here in Kansas. We both mask up and we enjoy each other’s conversation.
I love visiting her she lives alone and has a huge house like mine. I leave Poppy at home. LOL!
The Professor is from the North and older than me and I am fine with that. We are going to
the Ozarks where she owns a cabin and this is something I have to plan once I visit my mother
and family in Colorado.I live on an eclectic block with a lot of interesting people. I don’t
have to go far for a good conversation.I have to say Covid-19 stop us from doing so much. We stood outside and from a safe
distance to talk to each other. I have a neighbor who is an Architect and travels to the
Rain Forest another who is an Attorney and many teachers and professionals. We are
all interesting people.I am missing the professor who moved to Palm Springs, California a few years ago we still
talk on the phone. I can tell his life is different from OZ he has a pool and it can get up into
the 100’s as far as temp goes. The professor loves it he could not take the cold we have.
I miss our morning conversation as he lived next door to me.Xango what’s for dinner I always like how you prepare your menu.
I hope everything is working out for you today and you get all your deliveries.
I am missing Charlie and my Cousin. -
