Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Arthur’s Theme – Burt F. Bacharach / Carole Bayer Sager / Christopher Cross / Paul Allen
SongOnce in your life, you find her
Someone that turns your heart around
The next thing you know, you’re closing down the town
Wake up and it’s still with you
Even though you left her way across town
Wondering to yourself, “Hey, what’ve I found?”
When you get caught between the Moon and New York City
I know it’s crazy, but it’s true
If you get caught between the Moon and New York City
The best that you can do
The best that you can do is fall in love
Arthur he does as he pleases
All of his life, he’s masked his choice and
Deep in his heart, he’s just, he’s just a boy
Living his life one day at a time
And showing himself a really good time
Laughing about the way they want him to be
When you get caught between the Moon and New York City
I know it’s crazy, but it’s true
If you get caught between the Moon and New York City
The best that you can do (the best that you can do)
The best that you can do is fall in love
When you get caught between the Moon and New York City
I know it’s crazy, but it’s true
If you get caught between the Moon and New York City
The best that you can do (the best that you can do)
The best that you can do is fall in love
When you get caught between the Moon and New York City
I know it’s crazy, but it’s true
If you get caught between the Moon and New York City
The best that you can do (the best that you can do)
The best that you can do is fall in love
If you get caught between the Moon and New York City
I know it’s crazy, hey, but it’s true -

I know how you feel I miss your sister already.
I know she has to return to California.
Took Poppy for a fast walk down the street we are frozen.
WE are in the teens in OZ.
Keep warm.

Good evening to you. Have one eye on the hockey game and the other on a magazine.
Not real into the game this evening, it’s turning into a blowout.
Yes, I sure will miss sis but she’ll be back in a month. So I will be doing double duty for a few weeks. Which means I better get some good night sleeps.
Hate to say it but mom has way her schedule than I do. I guess when you’re almost 93 you say yes to everything!
Cold here but no snow, wind chills tomorrow morning in the single digits.
Starting Monday it will warm up each day.
Tell Mr. Poppy to make it quick.
Sending hugs to you both.

@Sheba
Hello in chilly Oz, we have a cloudy and breeze day however warm and humid.
Trivia last night was fun, and glad that Oodie was able to join us.
I am making bread, hubby is making himself dessert. A recipe he found on YouTube we are both in the kitchen
.
Not sure if we will make it to Lowes this weekend. Hubby will be working from home this coming week also. Perhaps after he gets off 3:30, one of the days we can take a ride to Lowes in the afternoon there’s still lots of daylight.Have a great weekend you and your hubby with Poppy

The Danger of Repression
When negative thoughts arise, it is best to address them rather than pushing them down where they will surface again.
For the last several years, there has been a lot of focus on the power of positive thinking. Many people have come to misinterpret this wisdom to mean that it is not okay to have a bad mood or a negative thought or feeling. This can lend a kind of superficiality to their relationship with life and relationships with other people. It can also lead them to feel that if a negative thought or feeling comes up, in themselves or someone else, they must immediately block it out. When they do this, they are engaging in the act of repressing a part of themselves that needs to be seen, heard, and processed.
When we repress parts of ourselves, they don’t go away so much as they get buried deep within us, and they often come out when we least expect it. On the other hand, if we allow ourselves to be fully human, honoring all the thoughts, feelings, and moods that pass through us on a given day, we create a more conscious relationship with ourselves. Instead of blocking out thoughts and feelings that we label as negative, we can simply observe them and then let them go. They only get stuck when we react to them negatively, pushing them down and out of sight where they get lodged in our unconscious minds. A healthier solution might be to develop a practice of following any negative thought we may have with a positive thought. This works well because positive thoughts are many times more powerful than negative thoughts.
Rather than setting our minds up in such a way that we become fearful of the contents of our own consciousness, blocking out anything that is less than 100 percent positive, we might resolve to develop a friendlier attitude toward ourselves, trusting in our inherent goodness. When we recognize our true inner worth, a few dark clouds passing through our minds will not intimidate us. We will see them for what they are—small, dark figures passing through an expansive sky of well-being and truth. AMEN!
