Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@Sheba🌺🌺🌺🦋🦋🦋🦋
Hello Sheba, I did read your post in yesterday’s page.
We just had a thunderstorms, lots of thunder blasting and then the rain came. I can still hear it in the distance. The crickets are singing quite loud, there’s lots around. I haven’t heard the little tree frog yet. I am suprise it did alert me it was going to rain, it barks away when it’s to rain. That’s such a lovely table setting, thank you.
Publix is having a good sale this week. We took advantage of the fruits and shrimp. So for dinner I made shrimp two ways. For hubby sautéed with shallots, green peppers, diced tomatoes and roasted garlic in olive oil.
For me I coated in flour, breadcrumbs and a little corn starch and fried. Vegetables was broccoli and carrots. Dessert was much later, hubby and I had a bowl of beautiful delicious cherries 🍒.Take care Sheba 🌹 🌹🌹🌹🌹

Thank you for your post yesterday wishing my dad a happy birthday in heaven. My dad passed due to his heart not working 100%. If he was alive today, surgery would give him an extra 10 or more years as well as all the new medications. Dad past in his sleep on the 23rd of June, 1980. What actually happened is that I had an alarm set for 5 am in order to surprise him early that morning. I was planning on leaving around 6 am to beat the traffic. Instead, the phone rang and I just knew the news wasn’t good. Dad would have enjoyed all the new novelties: cellphones, computers, internet access, flat screen TVs, etc, etc.. His smile lighted up the world around him. I often reflect on the memories he made and all these years I have strived to be like him. That is, without his medical problems. Anyway, I just want to let you know that your thoughts yesterday touched me and did bring tears in a good way. I am positive that Dad saw your thoughtfulness and was smiling a thank you.
The rehab was just as hot inside as outdoors when I visited hubby. The A/C wasn’t working in the patient rooms. It was working a bit in the hallways, the nurse’s station, near the entry door and a little room off the reception area. Hubby’s roommate was in the hallway when I arrived yesterday. I am not entirely positive that hubby ate his dinner yesterday. However, I did make a chicken salad sandwich with lettuce and tomato and brought the cubed watermelon. Today, I will make a stop at Culver’s for ice cream. Not sure if I will add anything else. Usually Monday thru Wednesday, the meals are OK. After that, it becomes questionable.
We had rain on and off yesterday. On the way to see hubby the clouds were rolling in from the Gulf. I was hoping to make it to the rehab before the rain. I made it to the driveway and then the deluge. It poured. Rather than wait in the car for the storm to pass I went to the back of the van and took the cart out and for some reason the drops missed me. Someone “up there” must have had a huge umbrella. I stayed with hubby to way after 9pm. . When he starts getting sleepy is when I head out. He is getting stronger, though the leg is in pretty bad shape. The swelling is now the entire leg and I will be seeing the head nurse/mgr this evening. I will contact the orthopedist in the morning. He is able to stand a little with help.
I have the A/C fan running. If I put the A/C on we would be paying over $500/mo. This way, the house does remain cool and I am comfortable. When I leave it goes on humidistat. The cost here is crazy.
I did write a review on the Trolley. The one they seem to be using now is for the “AS Is.” Take a look at Item 827000.
Hope you three have a great afternoon and evening.

Good afternoon to you. Hot one in the ‘burgh today, A/C is running.🔥 Have dinner in the crock pot since I didn’t want to heat up the kitchen.
Glad your husband enjoyed his day. In my opinion, mother’s and father’s day is everyday and life long!🥰 We said our prayers for our families up above.🙏
Not too busy this week (I hope). Need to run to mom’s, the cleaner’s and probably a grocery store.🏃♀️ Guess I’ll be doing some cleaning around the house. Enjoy your evening, hugs to you, Poppy and your menagerie.🤗💖

Going Deep
To reach the depth we wish to access, we must dive below layers to the deepest parts of ourselves.
There are times when life urges us to seek more. Small changes may fail to alleviate stagnancy or frustration, and we may need to examine our lives and ourselves more deeply to find the right place to start. Everything we need for success and joy lies within. But so often, life’s debris accumulates, building layers around our core that make it difficult to access the truth that resides there. To reach what we wish to access, we must dive below these layers to the deepest parts of ourselves.
The first layer can be found in our minds. Our to-do lists and busywork are usually less important than we think, so we must look past them to examine the thoughts that matter most to us. The next layer can be found in our hearts, where past hurts and disappointments can sometimes cover up our vulnerabilities, as well as the truth of who and what really stirs the love within us. We can choose to go even deeper, to our center. If we can go beyond anything that has affected us to the point that it blocks us at the gut level, we can reconnect with our power, our raw instincts, our organic yeses. Here, at the core, lies our truth. Our core is our foundation that supports us and what we’d like to build our authentic life upon.
When we examine ourselves to these depths, we are able to find what we wish to bring to the surface and what we wish to let go. When we remember what lies beneath our layers, we can look at what was floating on the surface, causing blocks and pains, and understand the purpose that they served. Oftentimes, it is the built-up debris that causes us to go deeper, so we can search for the truth. Go deep, live life from your truth within, and watch your innate beauty manifest outward. AMEN! ✨✨
