Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@sheba2011, xango and TACI
Yes to you xango, the nurse was wearing PPE and when I returned home I went direct to the computer. What I found was interesting. I knew right away it wasn’t chicken pox but it did look like them. Then I delved further and found other things it could be. However there was one that stood out from the rest. That was “scabies.” This required extra precautions and though quite easy to remedy, the itch can last days and weeks following treatment. The part I didn’t like was that it is very catchy. Both hubby and his roommate have this. Once I read what it could be I needed to take preventive measures for myself. That is why the call to our primary care physician. Also, according to the write up, everything needs to be washed in hot water and dried hot. If he has this I will need to take everything apart in both closets, drawers and what about the mattress and box spring. This means everything including dishes and glassware, all utensils will need to be rewashed. Again, I will need to start from scratch. And, if this is the case, am I the one that brought in this thing. Hubby’s wing seems to be infected. This will mean that all rooms will need to be thoroughly cleaned and patients moved to other areas once they are no longer affected. What a mess. And if this is the case, I can be in the same boat within a month to six weeks. On top of eczema—-not good.

Oodie, Xango makes some excellent points. Does your husband have any allergies to detergent or latex? or possibly the meds? Hope it gets sorted out quickjly.
Take care! -
Hey Sheba. It’s supposed to rain most of the night. Things are getting nice and green and the flowers are blooming. I didn’t do much with some plants in the front yard and they are thriving. Must be all the rain. We are in the low 60’s but my room is colder.
Wonder when AL will have the last Choco Nuvo before summer hits.
Hope your week is off to a great start.
Hello to Poppy. -
First things first – please know I think of you and your husband every day and say prayers for you both every night.
I know you are doing your best but one of his doctors needs to take control of this and get him back home. And then maybe you can get in-home nursing to stop a couple times a week for checkups.
I have done what you suggested on a couple cruises. After going to the Caribbean so many times, I don’t do excursions anymore and go to the pool on those days. It’s like private swimming. Or I sit on a lounge in the shade and read a book without all the noise. I like the balcony in the morning with coffee or when pulling into a port but I don’t spend a lot of time in the room, I like to be out and about. Mom and sis are getting tired of the Caribbean at the moment so they are doing a cruise in August to Bermuda leaving from Baltimore. This one they can drive to and leave the car as you said. I sure hope you and your husband can take another one in the near future.

Hi, Happy Spring
I hope this finds you rested and well.
As I read your post it made me think of the following. Since you were told you couldn’t see your husband and his rash is 100 percent all over. Were the nurses wearing PPE going into the room, if not then they shouldn’t keep you from seeing you hubby. And was his room mate still in the room?
Not allowing you to see your husband to me, it’s a big light bulb going off. What is the name of this facility, Rehabilitation Center? If you don’t get results very soon, I suggest you speak with the director of the facility. I hope you can see you husband tomorrow.Last night was quite chilly, I think we dipped down to the mid forties. Tonight it’s going to be 44, weird weather.
Praying that things get better Oodie.
Sending hugs and Brazilian kisses.
Take care Oodie. -

everything she needs.Hubby and I are doing projects tis the season. Spring came on time but tomorrow
OZ will rain. -
Dear lord what? I can’t believe this all happened since you left yesterday.
I know he is not feeling this. Oodie can you talk to him? I hope they give him
something for the itch. I had a major itching problem due to some meds when
I was in the hospital a few years ago and it is not fun.How are you doing? I wish you had someone there to hold your hand and give you
a shoulder to lean on. This is concerning to me I think this is a bit much. Please let us know how things are going this evening. I am saying a prayer for you
and hubby.I really mean this.

Hello and Happy First Day of Spring
⚘️⚘️⚘️
⚘️⚘️⚘️
I hope you are your hubby had a great weekend. Hopefully your weather starts to warm up.
It was very chilly overnight, the house stayed cool all day. No need for air conditioning.Hubby is working from home this week also, it limits my noise in the kitchen
I talked with my cousin in Brazil, her beautiful yard got lots of rain. She has papaya and Pomegranate trees. Lemon tree, Plants from Yuca, lettuces, tomatoes, peppers, green beans and much more. The flowers are so beautiful, all kinds.
In 2009 when I visited her, she was still constructing her house. Now it’s a beautiful paradise.Take care Sheba.

Hi and a good afternoon to you. That cold just lingers and does not wish to leave any time soon. Not good when you feel kind of run down and need to tackle a few things.
I just wanted to give you a heads up on a cruise for mom and sis. Three years ago we took a cruise and had Covid. The best part of that cruise was the balcony where we could sit all day and read. We never made the necessary reservations for touring, but could do so on board even the day of. But hubby and I remarked that going up to the Lido deck when most were touring was the real good idea. No one in the pool or around that area. We had the food area almost to ourselves and best part was taking it down to our stateroom and enjoying the sights from the veranda (alias: balcony). If there is time before heading North, we may book something. That is, if hubby is also feeling up to it. There are busses from here to take you to the cruise on the day of. We will probably stay at a local motel overnight so we can leave the car. Take care, stay safe and don’t rush. Hope your team wins tonight.

I had Terminix here this am. All critters taken away. I have not heard from the contractor across the street so will make another call asap. I did drive to see hubby early this afternoon and was not permitted to see him. He has a rash that covers almost 100% of his body. The night nurse on Friday had mentioned that they took samples of the spots and also did a blood test. Meanwhile I was told not to touch him, though I did massage his toes. I did remain at the Rehab for two hours and after that I left for home. I did make a phone call to our primary care physician and left a message since they had left early for a meeting. Hopefully, they will return my call tomorrow. I need to have some answers and if it’s catching preventive methods for me. If it isn’t one thing then another.
Weather is still quite cool with temps in the low to mid 60s. No rain in sight for this week. Loads of sunshine. No clouds in sight. Temps tonight will be in the mid 40s. Unbelievable for this part of Florida. and towards the end of March. I’m ok with the temps. There is no humidity.
The kitchen is now finished minus washing the floor. I am now working on the breakfast bar. The new frig will be delivered a week from today. Not looking forward to emptying the old one, but will start the process Sunday night. I will empty the freezer prior to the delivery on Monday. I will get a four hour window. Dining area is next and then back to the Master bedroom and en suite bath. Enjoy your evening and walk with Poppy in the moonlight.
