Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Things are a bit better today. Our primary physician phoned today and now have more of a to do list. That will start tomorrow. I will also make time for Aldi’s and the Farmer’s Market. Depending on what I purchase will determine what I will bring as a care package. He absolutely adores this market and would love nothing better than to be with me. Hubby was better today but the food is another story. The roommate and hubby did not eat. You would think the presentation was good and it looked edible, but honestly, it was awful. This place needs to find a new chef/’cook. I tasted it. There was meat, potato and broccoli. All loaded with salt. Hubby has high blood pressure, renal problems and borderline diabetes. I am absolutely surprised that the meal is not geared to the patient. Anyway, hubby was in good spirits and his energy level is back. But without food, I dread tomorrow. I know he would love their Italian grinder, but I will wait a bit before bringing him one. I will be glad when he can return home.
Today, I did a walk around the house and everything is tight against our foundation. The only way we seem to be getting these rodents is through the screen door on our lanai. They must smell the food and come in through the openings that are not attached to the foundation. The contractor’s wife came over today and gave me the name of the person who has been helping everyone in our community. I will contact him tomorrow. He is currently working on my neighbor’s home next door. The contractor absolutely likes this man’s work. Very thoughtful.
I will be working on the MB tomorrow. I need to get up early. Doctor’s office said I must remove everything in and on the dresser. Even though hot water is recommended, I will be using warm to prevent shrinkage and also warm for drying. I normally would use low on the dryer for things I missed stain wise. I also must use a bug spray that not only kills the bugs, but the eggs as well. For that I will contact our exterminator for a better product. The head nurse in rehab recommended that all furniture should be brought outside for thorough spraying and cleaning .Guess I have additional work cut out for me. But now I am really concerned and worried. Hubby’s immune system isn’t where it should be. There is another bug attacking patients in hospitals, nursing homes and rehab centers. This one is more deadly than Covid and Florida is number 3 in numbers. Now I am in a real hurry to get hubby home. Cleaning starts tomorrow. I will not be taking any chances.

@Sheba
Hello Sheba, I hope your day is going well.
The day is sunny and very beautiful. Hubby had an appointment with his Cardiologist. Just a regular check up, and all is well. The black beans turned out awesome yesterday. Today I am baking French bread Vietnamese style. Got them proofing now, going to bake them after finishing this post.
How is Poppy doing? And your walks with Poppy?
Take care Sheba, hugs to you 🤗 😘 ❤️ ❤️🌷🌷🌷 -
Good afternoon to you. Warm but dreary day here, rain coming tomorrow for a couple days.🌧
Sis left yesterday and made it back to CA without any problems. Just glad she didn’t have any cancellations. Between the weather and the airlines, you just never know what to expect. Talked to her earlier and she was on her way to the garage to see if the car would start after four months.😕 On and off rain where she is located.
Up to mom’s on Friday to take her here and there. My days get so confused when sis leaves because I don’t go to visit on Friday’s when she is here.🤪 I keep thinking today is Thursday.
Yes, I miss This is Us, it was my favorite show. I have watched the new one with Milo, not too bad, but I still think of Jack when I see him.💗
Don’t work too hard, sending hugs and kisses to you and Poppy.🤗🥰💖

Bitterness
Bitter feelings allow us to become perfect victims, in that we no longer feel obliged to work toward healing.
It is natural to feel resentment or anger when life does not unfold as expected. We consciously or unconsciously anticipated one experience, and we grieve for the loss of it when the universe puts something else in our path. Most of the time, we work through these feelings and they pass. Occasionally, our anger and resentment do not fade and are instead transformed into bitterness. Bitter feelings allow us to become perfect victims in that we no longer feel obliged to work toward healing and choose instead to identify with our pain. Yet as unwholesome as bitterness can be, it is also a natural element of our emotional palette. When we acknowledge that it is okay to feel bitter, we reconnect with our hurt in a constructive way and can begin the process of working through it.
The nature of bitterness is rooted in the fact that the pain we feel provides us with a rationale. We may feel that we deserve to embrace our bitterness to its full extent. And to be bitter is, in essence, to cut ourselves off from all that is positive, hardening our hearts and vowing never to let go of our hurt. But just as bitter feelings can be self-defeating, so too can the release of bitterness be life-affirming in a way that few other emotional experiences are. When we decide that we no longer want to be bitter, we are reborn into a world filled with delight and fulfillment unlike any we knew while in the clutches of bitterness. The veil it cast over our lives is lifted, letting light and warmth touch our souls.
Divesting yourself of bitter feelings can be as simple as truly forgiving and moving on. Even when your bitterness has no concrete object, you can forgive situations too. Healing pain can be challenging but may be easier if you remind yourself that you are the only entity truly affected by your emotional state. In time, you will discover that letting go of your bitterness frees you to initiate the healing process and allows you to once again celebrate the possibility of the more wonderful life you deserve. AMEN! ✨✨
