Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sheba, Hello! Well it rained hard last night and all morning. I was able to get out late afternoon once the sun came out. It was a great hike, about 5 miles. People around here are tired of the rain but not me. I think it’s the most I have ever seen and I have lived in some stormy states.
Tonight should be in the high 40’s. Crazy.
Well the week is winding down. What have you been up to? -
Are you sure you are alright after that fall? I hope you keep your cell on you at all times.
This is concerning but you got up and keep it moving. So much on your plate Oodie and tomorrow is Friday I will leave it at that because that is
the least of your issues. I wish you could get to the North too.I hope you are able to find your flooring and all the things you need for your main bath.
Take it easy and do what you can do. Hubby comes first.

Indian Reservation
Song by Paul Revere & the RaidersThey took the whole Cherokee nation
Put us on this reservation
Took away our ways of life
The tomahawk and the bow and knife
Took away our native tongue
And taught their English to our young
And all the beads we made by hand
Are nowadays made in Japan
Cherokee people
Cherokee tribe
So proud to live
So proud to die
They took the whole Indian nation
Locked us on this reservation
Though I wear a shirt and tie
I’m still part redman deep inside
Cherokee people
Cherokee tribe
So proud to live
So proud to die
But maybe someday when they learn
Cherokee nation will return, will return
Will return, will return, will return -
Peace Out Peeps enjoy your evening remember to look up I’ll wave at ya.

Good evening. No humidity this evening, but the temps during the day with full sun felt more than the middle 80s. I never made it to costco or to Lowes. What I did do was a search of urologists in our area. There was one that supposedly had a good reputation, but after doing tons of research found out it was all wet behind the noodle. I was able to find recent reviews which told me that others were having the same problem reaching the physicians. For some reason the doctors do not have a receptionist and rely on voice or e-mail. The patients leave countless messages with no response. One case needed antibiotics and was told she could pick up the prescription on her way home. When she was able to get to the store and see the pharmacist, there was no prescription, so she made a phone call immediately. Reached voice mail instead. 3 months later, still no pills, but she has a new doctor and she is now happy. I must have read tons of reviews. There was not one thing positive. I then did some other research and found a beginning and spoke to the head nurse this evening. He will be making calls tomorrow. At least we are on a path. I will be happy with this as a start and to follow up in boston when we return. I am thinking about making a stop at John Hopkins in Baltimore ,MD, even though it means taking the I-95 corridor.
The last three days hubby has been awake when I arrive. He is having a lot of lower back and knee pain. The knee that was supposed to be reconstructed is OK. The other knee is quite swollen and he is having problems moving around. When the nurses enter to make him more comfortable he screams with pain. I mentioned that it would probably be better if they sit him in a chair or wheelchair when making the bed. They do give him a nightly sponge bath that also takes care of the itches. Also, today was the second time in a week that he wanted to go to the bathroom. I could not help him because of the catheter. Besides, I slipped on something in the kitchen and had a nasty fall. Thank goodness nothing broken. Was able to get up without a problem.
Definitely, Lowes tomorrow. That bathroom is a total disaster and hubby will not be able to return home until it is redone. I did find a few things online. There are a couple of vanities and a few linen closets to look at when I’m in the store. The waterproof flooring I will look at while there as well. Actually, this will be the first stop. The one I really liked requires glue. I would rather have interlocking. Oh yes, I have the ones I want to look at in a small notebook with their model numbers.
Did not see a moon this evening. May have rain on Sunday, but not holding my breath. Last night and tonight the sunset was pretty with a pink sky. No traffic on the return and made all the lights and the one stop sign. Was home in 10 minutes. Now will start getting ready for the frig delivery on Monday. Will first clean the freezer bags. Then will look for some missing paperwork for the taxes. Have a great evening and then some.

@Sheba
Hello Sheba, and Happy Easter week.
⚘️⚘️⚘️
In one week we will have Holy Thursday. I am looking into what to make for Thursday evening and for Good Friday.
How are you doing and how are your projects coming along?
We could use some gentle rain, none is in the forecast.I am starting the Ciabatta starter dough again. It’s not progressing the way it should. As I was mixing the dough I kept thinking I did something wrong. Then I thought, did I use the correct amount of water. I think I used the amount of water that goes to the second part of the dough and not the amount that goes to the first part.
Worst case, I end up with a little more bread. The Hibiscus are blooming away.
. The Sage has come back and are filled with growth.
I still couldn’t see the sky at night, somehow it’s cloudy during the night. All I could see was the illumination of the Moon trying to peek through.
Enjoy the rest of your day, have a wonderful walk with Poppy.

The Cycle of Life
Dealing with an aging parent is part of the challenges and blessings that are part of the cycle of life.
For most of us, a natural part of the cycle of life is when our roles as children start to shift from that into caretaking roles where our parents are concerned. This can be as major as moving a parent into a retirement facility, or coming to the realization that it’s necessary to check in with them more often than usual. Whatever the case, such a shift is momentous as it signals a time of confronting our own mortality as we confront that of our parents. In addition, it can bring up issues about how well they cared for us when we were young. We may also find ourselves consumed with fear at the thought of losing them, even if we’ve been on our own for a very long time.
Talking to other friends and family who are going through similar experiences can be a large source of support. They can help us look at both the unresolved past and the unfolding present, and we are free to talk only about ourselves. Sometimes we need the kind of undivided attention a friend can offer in order to deal with the material that comes up at this time of our lives.
In many ways, this time of life signals a rebirth as we examine our individual past, as well as our familial past. As our parents’ lives move toward completion, we are able to see what they did with their time on earth, what we have done so far with our time, and what we might want to do with the time we have left. These challenges and blessings are all part of the cycle of life. AMEN!
