Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sheba, oh, no sorry you had a bad headache. Don’t forget to drink water too. Sounds like you have it under control. Not sure I mentioned this before but I use Flonase everyday. Hubs has made it to the Balcony and is finishing up there, replacing some wood, painting and that kind of stuff. He and our son will take a 3 day backpacking hiking trip. Since I am not a good outdoor camper I was not invited. We will all be a lot happier. April is a busy month for me, tomorrow I will need to check in with JD. That passport still has not arrived.
Been trying to get in more steps so I hike on my own before my walk/hike with a friend. It’s working. It was overcast and cloudy and a tiny bit of drizzle. Perfect for me.
Take it easy Sheba. Have a great evening! -
I returned home about a half hour ago. Hubby was sleeping when I arrived. I found out through his roommate that he didn’t eat breakfast or lunch. The dinner tonight was on his tray next to the bed. It had not been touched. When he finally opened his eyes I asked what was wrong with the dinner. His answer “I’m not hungry.” Oh did I blast him. Dinner tonight was a good one. Veal with potato salad and cream of corn. Dessert was a lemon pudding. I tried the veal it was real good and the potato salad excellent. But, for some reason he just didn’t want it and so there it sat. I actually raised my voice stating that I surmise he just doesn’t want to come home. He also hasn’t been out of bed walking around. Blasted him again. I was real mad and I certainly let it be known. He did not eat his breakfast or lunch. For a care package I had brought a pizza that I had doctored from Aldi’s. I also had ham salad with a salad in a covered refrigerator glass dish, Around 8pm is when he started to taste the pizza and a few minutes later he wanted the ham salad with a salad. I gave him a honey crisp apple for dessert. He was eating the apple when I left at 9 pm. The nurses were delighted that he was finally eating.
I contacted a neighbor to let him know what I have been up against. He will try to see if there is anyone in the community that will be able to help. At least if the lanai area was repaired, then we would not have the mouse problem. But, now I have ordered new flooring along with a vanity. I will take the flooring, not sure about the vanity since it is really too heavy for me to lift. There is no delivery service, but there are people in the store that can load it into the van. I will start searching for people tomorrow, though I really need to get a move on on the cleaning process.
Speaking of cleaning. I did order Joy’s TS and I will start using it tomorrow. I will let you know how it is and the odor of thyme that some are complaining about.
Sorry about your whopper of a headache. That is due to the pollen. My next door neighbor is having the same issues. I’ve been taking my antihistamines and they have been keeping me sane for the most part. Weather has been very windy. We have had some sprinkles today, nothing to write home about. Temps were lower and no humidity, though it seems tonight that it is creeping back up. During the allergy season I take my pills daily and as needed. You should do the same. Or at least try.
Well, guess I’ll play a couple of games to quiet my nerves. Hope you and Poppy have a great walk. ……………………………………………………………………………..

@Sheba
Hello Sheba, it’s another very windy day here. Mostly cloudy, lots of wind and no rain.
I thought something was not right last night. I looked at your thread up to 2AM and said to myself something isn’t right.
Happy you are feeling better, having a headache is hard to concentrate and function.
Pollen is all over here too, I start sneezing in side the house. In the morning about 10 timesIf I go outside it’s even more, when watering my plants I sometimes wear a mask just not to get so much Pollen.
The cats are attracted to you, they must love being with you and hearing your voice, Leo
is a natural. I am sure Poppy does get a bit jealous.
I wish a cat would come around my house, around here but no luck. I would love to have one, two or three visiting me.Glad you are feeling better Sheba
Take care -
Another gorgeous day here and in Oz.
Had to get the lighter pj’s out for this week, cooler next week.
I was so disgusted with that game last night I quit watching.
They knew what they had to do and lost to one of the worst teams. The local newspaper destroyed them. Time for them to get the golf clubs out.
Hope you are feeling much better today. My husband has been sneezing away.
‘Tis the season. Sis gets back tomorrow.
When you and Poppy go out this evening, catch some warm breezes and the hugs from me and Jake.

Celebrating the In-Between Times
Real life most often happens during the in-between times, when we are not celebrating a special occasion.
While celebrations are intended to honor life’s more momentous occasions, much of real life tends to happen during the in-between times. While moving from one moment in time to the next is seldom considered a significant occurrence, it is during those in-between times that we are most in tune with life’s most profound, albeit simple joys. Between birth and death, triumph and sorrow, beginnings and endings, we enjoy innumerable experiences that often happen unnoticed. These times are just as worthy of celebration.
The in-between times are seldom about landmark moments. How you choose to celebrate them or which moments you choose to celebrate is up to you. You may want to celebrate the simple facts that you are alive and that every day is a chance to spend time with the people you care about or do the work that you love. Then again, when you look at the good that exists in your life, many reasons for celebrating the in-between times may become clear: a cup of your favorite tea, a beautiful sunrise, a good book, and the smell of fresh air can be reasons for celebration.
Celebrating the in-between times can be as easy as paying special attention to them when they do happen, rather than taking them for granted. It’s your focus of attention that can turn an in-between time into a celebration. You can also pay homage to the in-between times by slowing down and allowing yourself time to look around and allow your heart and mind to take in all of your life’s wonders. Far too often, we can let those simple moments of awe pass us by. The in-between times are when life happens to us between the pauses that we take to honor our milestones occasions. Without the in-between times, there would be no big moments to celebrate. AMEN!
