Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi and a good afternoon to you. I am using the Clean Boss in the kitchen. I love the scent and so far I am pleased. I actually enjoy anything that is natural and has ingredients that you can read. It does the job and everything looks refreshed and new.
Today I will be making breaded veal as a stir fry with angel hair on the side with mixed veggies and pineapple. Not sure if I will add a sauce or just use sour cream to tie it together. I also tried to reach the Administrator and left a message of my concern with the food served. I let it be known that the food looked like dog or cat food that was mixed with gravy looking like Mush. This was done on voice mail since he had left the building (so they told me) for a few minutes. I also mentioned the care packages for both my hubby and his roommate. Yesterday was the first time I saw hubby really hungry in months (not weeks) and I was delighted that he could eat something and not go to bed hungry.
I’m not sure at this time about starting Trivia. Hubby knows that I play a game every Friday, but, I hesitate in leaving him and for that he is grateful. Though the trip is only 8 miles, it takes a good half hour to go back and forth because of the traffic lights. Some of them take forever to turn green or the first car falls asleep and wakes in time to make it through while the rest of us probably wish they had used their horn. However, with the car rage going on, I stay mute. I will see how the day goes. If anything, I will be there at some point.
I had no idea that part of the East coast received so much rain in a matter of hours. Ft. Lauderdale is near where the ships come in and is only about a 10 minute ride from that point to embarkation. Most ships have a shuttle from there, and it is quite costly going one way. Many opt to cab sharing. Hubby and I have been driving from our home to a motel/hotel in the vicinity that usually has a shuttle service and leaving t he vehicle at so much per day until we return. However, we found a parking area not far from either the airport or our hotel that is far less than a cab or leaving our vehicle in the hotel parking lot for two weeks. This facility also includes free shuttle service to and from. When we leave, we receive a card with their name and phone number and we contact them as soon as we are able once off the ship. The last time we used them was when we were sick with Covid. They had our vehicle running and then helped us load the van with our suitcases. One thing I did not do was ask for the nearest restaurant for breakfast. No billboards on the Everglades Highway. I surmise it was because of the snakes and alligators that hide in the grasses. Just thinking about it gives me the shivers. That was the time we ordered room service and it never came. We did not go to the Lido deck because it would be over crowded.
Well back to kitchen duties. The cleaning is fast and takes no time. No more soapy water and then a rinse and then spraying Lysol. This takes the place of everything.
Parts of the East Coast got the rain that we did not. Rain was in the forecast for today. So far I just see clouds. Hopefully, we will see something soon. Meanwhile our sunsets are beautiful and the sunshine everlasting. Temps are in the mid 80s with wind and some humidity.

Entering into Commitment
Many people have not witnessed a loving relationship between their parents, so they don’t know what it looks like.
Loving and committing to another person is a spiritual process whether it involves a wedding or any other type of commitment ceremony. Often when we enter into a relationship, we allow our emotions to lead us forward without thinking more deeply about what true commitment involves. If we can understand that sharing our lives with another person is not just based on love but also on the hard work of being able to compromise and enter into a dialogue with them, then we are much more likely to find the key to having a successful relationship with our partners. So many people have not experienced a loving relationship between their own parents and therefore have no role model of what love should feel like or look like.
Many of us have been exposed to the idea that love should be romantic and sweep us off our feet. While this is a natural part of any relationship, the true test of our love comes from our willingness to explore this world with another person; to not only share in the delights that we encounter but also to negotiate the bumps in the road together. Generally this often takes the form of a mutual exchange of ideas, but because any relationship is based on the needs and experiences of two people, we might also face a certain amount of misunderstanding. Learning to be open and receptive to our partners and to treat their wants and ideas with respect can help us navigate even the most difficult situations. One way to do this is to take a deep breath, holding our partner in a space of love, and allow ourselves to listen fully with our hearts to what they have to say. Should this become difficult to do, we can also turn toward people whose relationships we admire for advice or guidance. Knowing that there are resources out there to help us and being up for exploring them with our partner will only serve to deepen and strengthen our relationship.
Entering into a committed relationship is in fact a spiritual journey that we undertake with another person. By being able to love and care for someone else with an open heart, we will find that we can reach a greater level of personal transformation, evolving along our path and learning powerful lessons about ourselves that we might not otherwise be able to do on our own. AMEN! ✨✨
