Hi and good evening. This is my second note. The first went poofed while I was in the midst of writing. I saw hubby and again he surprised me near the entrance to the Rehab. He is also able to lift himself to a sitting position from laying in bed with his feet dangling over the side. He can now carry on a good conversation as if nothing happened. WOW!!!! He has made tons of progress in the last two weeks. Cannot wait to bring him home…...

Tomorrow we meet with the orthopedist. I will be at rehab late morning/early afternoon with clothing. We need to arrive a half hour prior to the appointment to complete some forms and hopefully, the Rehab will have a list of the medications. I have a feeling that they will take x-rays of his knee and may have to remove the water in the knee. Not sure if we will schedule reconstructive surgery at this point since we do not have all the answers from the urologist. I think this will determine when we will be able to head North. It will be 3 years in November that we have not seen our homes in Ct. & Ma.. On one hand I cannot wait to drive the 1350 miles, yet on the other, in all honesty, I am scared to death. I just want everything to be OK and have nothing go wrong on the drive. The last time we started out was two years ago and we ended up spending 6 wks in Savannah. As I said before, I won’t cross that bridge until we get the Ok from the physicians.

Hubby has asked for Asian food. So tomorrow, following his appointment I will be driving to the Dim Sum place, At least they have a menu on line, however, the prices are in Cantonese. It will be an interesting adventure. The place I am going to is less than a mile from the highway and two exits from the doctor’s office. The doctor’s office is on the same road as the Rehab and one mile from Costco.

I remembered not to hold my breath on the weather report for a rainy day. No rain. Saw stars on my way home. Maybe tomorrow. Again, I will not be holding my breath. Temps were close to 90 today and with humidity. Very windy.

Hope you three have a great evening. I know you are missing your dad. Remember his humor, but don’t remember the illness that took him. I am happy that you saw him short. ly before he passed. You should not have any regrets. Happy Birthday to your dad. RIP

Good afternoon to you and Poppy. I see you are having lots of work today. Here’s to a productive day

It’s a sunny day and the temperature is 89, nice and warm
No cooking today, eating leftovers. Hubby had another eye ap pointment today. Doctor wants to keep an eye on the scar in his eye.

We had some good rain. The Hibiscus are filled with buds again. And the butterflies are coming around. The bees prefer the purple flowers on the front bushes.
