Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. โœจ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

    @taci,

    I forgot to add this to my post above it seems I read years ago Carol Burnett would pull
    her ear to say goodnight and I love you to her kids.

    Sadly she lost her daughter Carrie some years ago I feel she looked great in the
    TV 90th birthday special it was so cool to see Cher and Julie Andrews. ๐Ÿ˜Žโœจ

    That’s a nice picture from the Carnival this year, the floats were so beautiful. YouTube this year had lots to see, since the news doesn’t show as much anymore.

    No cooking today, I have leftovers.
    Hubby asked me to make a Flan (Creme Caramel) for Friday. His work is having a Cinco de Mayo lunch.
    Our day is full of Sunshine, it’s 85 degrees right now.

    Take care Sheba ๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒน

    May Day and Beltane

    Celebrate May Day by giving flowers or baskets of flowers to friends and neighbors.

    Throughout history, humankind has celebrated the transition from season to season. The festival of May Day takes place on May 1 at the halfway point between the beginning of spring and the start of summer and originated in ancient times as a celebration of fertility, life, sexuality, and natureโ€™s renewal. Still observed by many people today, May Day has many colorful and unique customs associated with it and is intimately bound to the Gaelic and pagan fire festival of Beltane. Both celebratory rites take place on the same day and are believed to have originated from the ancient Roman feast of Floralia, which honored Flora, the goddess of spring and flowers, as she returned to the earth to bring the fields back to life with her touch.

    Traditionally, May Day celebrations began on April 30, when men and women spent the whole night in the woods where they would dance and play games. On the morning of May 1, they would emerge carrying freshly budded green boughs and flowers that were in bloom. A tree was felled and resurrected as the May Pole around which young people would twine ribbons in the hope of becoming entwined with a new love. Houses were decorated with freshly cut foliage to attract the blessings of earth spirits that were said to walk the land on the first of May. A May King and May Queen were chosen to represent fertility gods and goddesses. Beltane, while also a festival of fertility and sensuality, remains primarily a festival of fire. The Beltane bonfire fire not only blesses the coming season, but also invites luck into oneโ€™s life. Jumping over a Beltane fire, walking between two fires, or burning sacred wood and dried herbs in a fire guarantees an auspicious season. Often, people would put out their fires and rekindle their hearth using a flame taken from the bonfire.

    Both May Day and Beltane can be observed to celebrate the return of passion and vitality that we feel as the weather grows warmer and the world grows greener. You can celebrate these festivals by decorating your home with flowers, blessing your garden, or filling baskets with fresh produce and giving them to loved ones. Each festival represents a wonderful opportunity to mark the end of winterโ€™s darkness and ruminate on what the light-filled days of the coming months may bring. AMEN! ๐Ÿ˜Žโœจ๐Ÿ’•

    blown away no worries I can fly I would have went after my baby. ๐Ÿ’•

      @sheba2011

      Well, found out tonight that hubby is not only stubborn but also obstinate. The swelling in and around the left knee has kept him from walking. So today the swelling is down and he thought he could just get out of bed and go for a little hike. And so he fell. Thank goodness for his roommate. He was able to help him up and get into bed and than contacted the nurses for help. I arrived after the fact and when I heard what happened, I let him have it with both barrels, but in a nice way. I realize he wants home in the worse way, but not the way he is trying to get there. I don’t know if I made sense, but hopefully, he listened.

      No shopping today. Will try again tomorrow. Seems I slept through breakfast and was on time for brunch. So I did some laundry instead. Hubby asked for a pizza and that place is across the street from Lowes. Last week I had order their specialty 18″ pizza where I had one slice and hubby ate the rest. He left nothing for his roommate. Guess his appetite has exploded. That’s good news for me. It will certainly help with his mental and physical health.

      Wind has died down. We had warnings all weekend on riptides. I never made it to the beach. When I left hubby, the sunset was still happening and it was pretty with purple and pink clouds all around. By the time I arrived home it was dark and you could actually see the stars. No moon as yet, but I know it’s there. Somewhere…..
