I read both your posts and I am fuming and have been since yesterday. I was the one who completed the forms prior to his appointment on the day of. Seems the staff does not know what the right hand is doing and that also goes for the Rehab. They needed the authorization for the procedure and hubby is more than capable to sign his name. I completed the forms because I had done so weeks prior to the appointment. Those forms were returned to Rehab probably because I did them without proof. However, I did not have this info prior to his first appointment with the Urologist. I completed also an initial form prior to the day of appointment. At the time he was there and I had to do a redo, hubby did not have his glasses. Consequently, I just showed him the areas for his signature. It took over an hour to complete those forms, Either Monday or Tuesday, I answered the call from the Urologist Exam Center for the procedure. No mention was made of an authorization. However, they did try to reach me while he was there, but, I was on my way to the Rehab. There were no messages, just a call. Hubby was quite upset about not having this procedure and actually yelled at me for not being there. I explained why and his comment was” This is why I like living in New England and having our physicians there.” Why there was no one getting in touch with me prior to his appointment yesterday, is anyone’s guess. In Florida, the spouse does not have an authorization unless there is a paper that gives her “power of attorney.” In Ct., unless the law has changed, it is an automatic thing if the spouse is living and is capable of doing so. I did make a phone call and it went direct to an answer machine. I left a message. When I made it to Rehab, the Head Nurse was looking for me and so was everyone else. So I explained the situation and mentioned that hubby is fully capable to signing his own forms as long as someone reads the form to him and shows where to sign. He does not carry his glasses with him, rather leaves them on the night stand at Rehab. Oh,l I am so infuriated.

Yes, recycle and garbage have been picked up. Now I have to decide either what to make as a care package or where to go for take out. I’m looking at Asian takeout. Next week I will try the other Dim Sum. Back to KP.

Supporting And Inspiring

True leaders create an environment in which everyone can develop their potential.
When we call someone a leader, what we sometimes mean is that they are the best in their particular field; they are inspiring because of how much they accomplish. To be highly accomplished is impressive, but that isn’t what leadership is about. True leaders are not just high achievers; they also support the people around them to achieve, and, in certain cases, to become leaders themselves. In other words, true leaders do not create a static group of followers. Rather, they create an environment in which everyone can develop their potential. True leaders don’t get so caught up in the forward thrust of their own energy that they forget about others or the larger environment. They set an example with their actions, and they also support others to act. This is why true leadership is so rare.

Not everybody is cut out to be a leader, but most of us have the potential to serve in a leadership role at some point in our lives. When doing so, we might want to be inspired by the highest manifestation of leadership, remembering that we are meant to forward not only ourselves but a whole environment—an ideal, a plan, the people around us. While this won’t be easy, it is the true meaning of the job, and we can trust that we are capable of it. Otherwise, we probably wouldn’t find ourselves in the position to lead.

It’s also possible that we have determined that our gifts are best applied in a secondary position, supporting the efforts of a leader whose vision we admire. In this case, we can ensure that our energy is best applied by holding the person for whom we work to a high standard of leadership. In this way, we take responsibility for our own gifts by guaranteeing that they will be appreciated and developed in a way that best serves the whole. AMEN! ✨✨

So sorry they were not able to reach you yesterday in regards to your husband’s procedure.
I hope you are able to reschedule in a timely manner. Most of all I hope your husband
is comfortable.

This is a bit much but this too shall pass. I am glad you are helping his room mate too.
So thoughtful and I am sure he appreciates it.

I know you have different stores to go to just be safe out there. ✨If you are taking Thai Food
