Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sheba, hello! Yes, happy they are back safe but I did clean a lot while they were gone. Went to another meeting thingy today so was gone for 5 hours and was tired once back. Yes, the picture look familiar , memories….. we walked the whole area and took the subways also. One day when hubs wasn’t feeling well, I walked to a mall and back. We did get hubs tested for covid in Paris and it was negative. When is your turn for some travel? I can’t wait to hear all about it.
Enjoy the rain. It was cloudy and overcast so great here. -
@Sheba🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Hello Sheba, how was your day?
It’s been one of those days I find myself trying to catch up on things.
Just came out of the shower, couldn’t decide which one of my Nakery Beauty SkinRestore Body + Hand Wash to use, I love the Rosé & Romance, the Sparkling Celebrations and Tropical Therapy. Though I have them all, so far I tried the ones above and they are wonderful. We had rain today, a good amount that got everything soaked. The plants and trees are happy. Saw the small bunny today, he certainly likes our backyard.
Made short ribs in the oven today. First I made a broth, then I did all the prep. work to cook it. Cooked it in the dutch oven I had gotten to make bread in. Cooked it a little on top of the stove, then in the oven for two hours. Came out really good, baked sweet potatoes and sautéed broccoli 🥦 with Olive oil and garlic. Had strawberry yogurt with sliced fresh strawberries for dessert. I do enjoy the vanilla flavor yogurt from Publix with fresh sliced strawberries, it’s delicious.
Take Care Sheba 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 -

Butterfly
Song by Mariah CareyWhen you love someone so deeply
They become your life
It’s easy to succumb to overwhelming fears inside
Blindly I imagined I could
Keep you under glass
Now I understand to hold you
I must open up my hands
And watch you rise
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly, oh
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
I have learned that beauty
Has to flourish in the light
Wild horses run unbridled
Or their spirit dies
You have given me the courage
To be all that I can
And I truly feel your heart will
Lead you back to me when you’re
Ready to land
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly, oh
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were ment to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly, butterfly
I can’t pretend these tears
Aren’t over flowing steadily
I can’t prevent this hurt from
Almost overtaking me
But I will stand and say goodbye
For you’ll never be mine
Until you know the way it feels to fly
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly, oh
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly, oh
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
So flutter through the sky
Butterfly
Fly
Spread your wings and fly

Papa, Can You Hear Me?
Song by Barbra StreisandGod – our heavenly Father
Oh God – and my father
Who is also in heaven
May the light
Of this flickering candle
Illuminates the night the way
Your spirit illuminates my soul
Papa, can you hear me?
Papa, can you see me?
Papa, can you find me in the night?
Papa, are you near me?
Papa, can you hear me?
Papa, can you help me not be
Frightened?
Looking at the skies
I seem to see a million eyes
Which ones are yours?
Where are you now that yersterday
Has waved goodbye
And closed its doors?
The night is so much darker.
The wind is so much colder
The world I see is so much bigger
Now that I’m alone
Papa, please forgive me
Try to understand me
Papa, don’t you know I had no choice?
Can you hear me praying
Anything I’m saying
Even though the night is filled
With voices?
I remember ev’rything you thaught me
Every book I’ve ever read
Can all the words in all the books
Help me to face what lies ahead?
The trees are so much taller
And I feel so much smaller
The moon is twice as lonely
And the stars are half as bright
Papa, how I love you.
Papa, how I need you.
Papa, how I miss you
Kissing me goodnight -
Thank you, thank you for the delicious pics – I’ll have to get the screen cleaner out again!👅
Tomorrow is mom’s big day. We will have our early dinner and go back to her house for coffee and/or drinks and cake.☕🍷 Mom’s favorite is cheesecake.🍰
Nice day in the ‘burgh. Husband’s golf league starts Sunday and they are calling for rain.🌧 That is one thing he won’t do, golf in the rain. Maybe it will be scattered. Was looking forward to a Sunday by myself.😕
Happy Birthday to your dad in heaven.💖🙏💖

Happy Birthday tomorrow to both your mother and to my beloved father in heaven.
Daddy passed away just three years ago and not a day goes by that I don’t miss him.
I was the last family member to see him and I was dressed in PP Gear because it was
during covid-19. I was willing to risk it all just to see him one last time in Hospice. 😘🌹💕Enjoy your mother tomorrow and your sister. 🌹💕

The one good thing about yesterday is that Lowes do have people that can do the job. It’s the cost factor that may need to be addressed. But at least, if hired, the work will get done.
Hubby had an accident this afternoon. He was in a wheelchair and had a fall when trying to return to the bed. He is very impatient and at the same time wants to do things himself. We will get to that stage, but it will take time. The nurse who phoned said he wasn’t hurt. Yet, I am very concerned. I am dropping everything and getting out of work clothes and heading down there as I type. And right now, I am very itchy. This episode has given me the hives big time. Will take the antihistamine to offset it. I will write more later.
-
I stayed later than I anticipated due to hubby’s coughing spell from too big of a bite from an apple. He is OK. No injuries from the fall. Actually, what happened, the aide did not lock the wheelchair and as he got up, the chair moved. He was able to take hold of the bed and made it to a sitting position on the floor. I say we were lucky on that one, but I did rush down to make sure he was all right.
Hubby is more alert now. Seems the head nurse took him off a medication that was making him drowsy. He said my telling him about the surgeries that were cancelled and what I thought caused it made him take a second look at the meds. The dementia is almost non existent. He still has some problems with short term memory and every once in a while thinks he is in Ct., rather than Florida. I can live with this because he eventually realizes where he is. Just takes a bit longer to figure it out.
Today is garbage and recycle. Not enough to put anything out. Our next garbage pick up is Monday. Guess I will do a load of laundry and continue working on the kitchen. Clean Boss is a life saver. I can skip the soap and rinse on the countertops and also using Clorox. My Kitchen never looked so good. Everything sparkles like brand new. And the odor is something that I can live with. No problem. I am so glad that I purchased it along with the microfiber towels.
Tomorrow hubby has an appointment with the Orthopedist. I will be bringing a choice of
clothes in the morning and then will help him dress. He has asked for Asian food for tomorrow night. There is a Dim Sum restaurant not too far from where we will be. Only problem, no menu on line and the ones they do have are written in Cantonese. So, the decision will be made when I arrive. Oh, and speaking of food. He ate the entire dinner last night. He had no choice. I left too early to prepare something. But he forgets that he needs to take small bites because his esophagus is very narrow and has been that way since birth.Well, time for me to do some work. Hope you have a great day. We are expecting some thuner and lightning today but, I will not be holding my breath……..LOL

Finding Gifts in All
Before bed each night, take the time to review your day and review the gifts you received.
When we have good days, we often find ourselves going over the details later, enjoying them a second and third time as we feel the joy of our good fortune. When we have bad days, we may find ourselves poring over the details of our misfortunes. However, we can reframe those bad days by making it a daily practice to spend some time before going to bed each night to review the gifts we received that day. Regardless of our evaluation of the day—good, bad, mediocre—we can call forth the many blessings that were present. This practice transforms our consciousness as it reveals the fullness at the heart of our lives.
Some days it’s easy to recount the gifts we’ve received; on other days, we have to look harder for the offerings of the day, but once we do, we will find there are always quite a few. We can keep it simple and be grateful for the fact that we have a roof over our head, nature, food, and our health. Once we have fully experienced these gifts, we can move outward to the gifts that may require a little more thought such as the gifts of forgiveness, tolerance and acceptance that we may have learned that day. We can also always be grateful for the people in our lives who support us, no matter how bad our day may have been.
Just reviewing the many positive offerings in our lives provides a context for our difficulties that puts them in proper perspective, but we can also make an effort to see the gifts even in adverse circumstances. This can be challenging and may require some practice before it feels authentic, but we have all had the experience of a disappointment or loss leading to a surprising gain. Just remembering this and trusting the give and take of life can help us to remember that sometimes the best gifts of all are the ones we don’t recognize right away. In addition, the lessons we learn in the face of adversity are offerings in their own right, allowing us to count patience, wisdom, and fortitude alongside the other gifts of the day. AMEN! ✨✨
