Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Oh dear my heart goes out to you. We lost power in the storm last night. I am just now signing
back in.Oodie I know you are a strong woman but this is a lot to deal with. Selling a house can be
a nightmare and your husband’s health comes first. I know you did not want to sell the house
in the past but if things are changing then you are right to sell.I don’t like things in the woods eating and living anything can happen. Glad you have good
neighbors. If you trust your neighbors give them a copy of your keys to gain entrance into
your home if an emergency happens. I would make Cape and the Florida home my main
two homes.I am glad the head nurse was able to subdue the pain in your husband’s knees.
Oodie you say your husband’s surgery is on the 31st that is of May right? So much is
going on you are trying to finish the house in Florida and now up comes the CT Home.Oodie I am glad you rested yesterday good for you and I know how itching can be I was
out in the yards working and had the itch that almost drove me insane I do have something
for that and it is gone. -

Hi and a good morning to you. I received an email from my neighbor in Ct. Her husband and sion periodically take a walk around my home and noticed a few things out of whack. Very scary and I immediately notified our contractor and he was able to get into the house and check. His comment was that I really should be there and to stay until the house is emptied and goes on the market. He and my neighbor really laced into me. I have not mentioned anything to hubby. I just updated him on the things he is familiar with. I did think of flying out and spending a few days and then return to Fl.. I dare not spend more than that because hubby really needs me there for food and to keep his morale up. It’s a catch 22. The reason why everyone on our St. is scared is because the City put up an area for the kids to play in which includes a mini golf course. This is behind my neighbor’s house in the woods. In the middle of the night she sees bright lights coming from that area. It’s u sually around 2 or 3 in the morning. The other thing that causes an alarm are cars going up and down the street at all hours day and night as if looking to break in. Then one day, her son was doing some work in the yard and smelled something. He ventured towards the smell and into the woods. Not far from their home he found food left over and an area where someone may have been cooking and maybe living there. He has since notified the police who will check the area. This area not only abuts us, but others on a main road. I had asked if this was a question on a ballot or taken up at a town hall meeting. The answer was NO. Seeing lights and hearing voices was the first inkling. So yesterday, I had a nice talk with the Head Nurse and he said one day away is sometimes a problem. His theory is since hubby is starting to come around more, why not wait until he begins walking and really talking up a storm. Right now he feels my place is with him and I agreed. I did not see hubby on Sunday. I had a beaut of a case of hives. So itchy in fact that I almost dialed 911. Eventually, the meds finally took over and I was able to get some rest. I did see him today. He was in pain with the knee. I heard he ate his lunch yesterday (Monday), but didn’t eat his dinner or the grinder. I took everything home. Today, was more or less the same. No talking. When his dinner arrived, the nurse brought the bed to a sitting position and he yelled in pain. She was new and was not aware of his problem. The Head Nurse
showed and he was able to move hubby to a better position and put a pillow under the knee. He also gave hubby a pill for pain. Within ten minutes he ate a quarter of a half of the grinder and a fruit salad, all the grapes I brought along with a few strawberries. I left the rest of the fruit and the other quarter of the grinder in case he wakes during the night hungry. He was more or less out of it because of the pain. He just could not get comfortable. The Head Nurse also massaged the knee with a salve and I surmise the coolness really helped. I had two freezer paks and I am thinking of bringing an extra one tomorrow to wrap in a towel and just leave it next to the knee. If I can get the swelling down, it may alleviate the pain.Yesterday, I received a phone call from the Urologist’s office with a new date for the surgery. He is now scheduled on the 31st and on June 8th he will meet with the physician to see what is causing everything and to go over a plan. I’m hoping that no surgery will be necessary. And me, I’m getting some rest. Fell asleep in the chair yesterday. The nurses noticed and didn’t wake me. Guess they would have let me sleep all night in that chair which was just a vinyl straight back. Not at all comfy. Same thing happened today. The roommate woke me up . He had to do it three times before I moved. He was sorry afterwards because he wasn’t sure if I would be able to drive home. Filled the tank today at Sam’s Club. It was $3.23/gal. Gas stations are between $3..55 – $3.61/gal.

Sheba, Hope you had a good day.
I just might have to watch the remake. The 1st version was a highlight back in the day.
Nice to have something light and bright to watch.
Today i cleaned 3 old handbags with a leather cleaner. They are pretty old, but i still really like them. One is an Isabella Fiore from HSN from at least 15 yrs ago. Vintage is cool, right? -

Good afternoon Sheba😊, it’s a lovely day here the Sun is going in and out and the sky has large fluffy white clouds.
Hubby is working from home this week. I think he works more when he works from home. He works through all his breaks and eats his lunch in front of the computer still working.
I have the rest of the chicken in the refrigerator I need to cook. Made two breasts yesterday. It’s a tray of four large bone in chicken breasts. I removed the meat from the breastbone, the bones will go towards a good broth. And I have Oxtails IHe likes my bread also need to cook. It’s the prep work that takes the time, lots of cutting. I want to bake a large round bread today. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I can make some croutons. Using minced garlic, parsley and Olive oil, tossing all into a bowl mixing it very well with a hand full of grated parmesan cheese. Baking at 375 degree, check it around 7 to 10 minutes keeping longer if needed until they are crunchy. It’s great in salads, soups and stuffing. I got the recipe from the same chef I got the creamy garlic chicken. The bunny came by yesterday afternoon and stayed until dark. He likes my bread, munching on a small piece and eating grass.
Take care Sheba 🌹 🌹🌹🌹🌹

Every Step Is Forward
Sometimes during our spiritual growth, we can feel as if we are going backwards, rest assured you are not.
There are times when we feel that we are spinning our wheels in the mud in terms of our spiritual progress. This can be especially true following a period of major growth in which we feel as if we’ve gained a lot of ground. In fact, this is the way growth goes — periods of intense forward movement give way to periods of what seems like stagnation. In those moments when we feel discouraged, it’s helpful to remember that we don’t ever really go backward. It may be that we are at a standstill because there is a new obstacle in our paths, or a new layer to get through, but the hard work we have done cannot be undone.
Every step on the path is meaningful, and even one that seems to take us backward is a forward step in the sense that it is what we must do to move to the next level. In addition, an intense growth spurt requires that we rest for a time in order to fully integrate the new energies that have been liberated by our hard work. When we feel we are not making progress, we can encourage ourselves to take a moment to rest. We can meditate more, feed ourselves well, and get extra sleep. Before we know it, we will be spurred on to work toward the next level of our development, and this rest will make sense then as something we needed in order to continue.
Once the sun rises, it doesn’t go backward but instead follows its path in one direction. It may appear to stand still for a moment in time, or to move more slowly at some point or another, but really it is steadily moving forward on its path. We are the same way, and once we have moved through something we can never really go back. We may be resting or revisiting issues that seem old, and it’s natural to feel stuck, but in truth we are always taking the next important step forward on our path. AMEN! 😎✨
